STANDALONE BOOK with no cliffhangerNew Sexy Standalone from New York Times Bestselling Authors Helen Cooper and JS CooperIt was only supposed to be one night! We met at a wedding. He was hot. And I’d been in a year’s drought. He smiled. We got drunk. We flirted. We hooked up. I left early the next morning without saying goodbye. It was only meant to be a one night stand. I didn’t want the awkward … to be a one night stand. I didn’t want the awkward morning after moment. Not at all.
Then I went home for the weekend. And he was there. Sitting on the couch chatting to my dad. Turns out he was more than just a stranger. Turns out that my one night stand was about to cause a whole heap of trouble. Turns out that it never just stops with one night.

Imagine meeting a handsome stranger that you have an instant connection with and spend one incredible night with and think you will never see them again…only to go to your parents house and discover the handsome stranger isn’t really a stranger, but actually your sister’s fiancee. Sound like a nightmare? Yup, that’s exactly what happened to Liv. Now you might be appalled and outraged but before you start hating on Xander, you have to know that he has reasons for why this happened and as his story unfolds, you can’t help but fall for him and root for him and Liv to get their happy ending. This story has it’s ups and downs but one thing that is undeniably is the passion, attraction and love that Liv and Xander have for one another. This book is a phenomenal read and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
Enjoyed reading Emily’s story. Great chemistry between Emily and Liam/Matteo. Looking forward to reading about Anabel’s story next!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was a little out there for me, but I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. I still loved the book, I think I just didn’t connect with Xander or the storyline. But I breezed through it, the writing is great. I loved how it started out, it’s the middle I didn’t mesh with. And Liv’s sister, wow now that’s a villian! I didn’t see a lot of the twists coming so I think that’s a great sign of the writing in of itself. I’m curious to read the rest of the One Night Stand books so that’s a good sign.
Jane Garcia’s big brother, Marco, is coming to see his sister and to meet her boyfriend and boss, Tate Howard. Jane knows all about her brother’s playboy ways and how women seem to fall at his feet. He’s an utterly attractive man and will be the first one to tell you! Jane is worried that Marco’s going to show his true player colors and break one of her friends’ heart. Jane’s co-worker, Magnolia, has already found love with Jagger, and Milly, Olivia and Birdy have proclaimed themselves members of the Single Forever Club. They are tired of not having someone special in their lives, and dinner with Tate, Jane and her brother could be a new start. For one of them, definitely! Millie is dressed to kill and catches Marco’s attention the minute she walks into the restaurant. Their eyes meet and it’s game on with copious amounts of hilarity. She wasn’t expecting that hand gripping her thigh under the table, and it’s a given that he never expected to find her hand where it had gone! The texts and the self-talk between both these characters are as well done as the first two books in this series. Marco and Millie make the perfect couple, but try convincing them of it. Marco really cares about her, but he’s not ready to be tied down. And Millie is navigating uncharted waters here and reminds herself that this fling is only for the weekend. As much as they try to tell themselves, and each other, that this is just temporary, that’s not what their bodies, minds and hearts are saying. Millie brings out the vulnerability in Marco and, for the first time, he doesn’t feel like he has to play the part of player anymore! He enjoys being able to share his story with another person who doesn’t judge him by his past. Before they know it, a decision has to be made as to whether they’re going to try for a future together or walk away. Sweet ending and captivating story!
It was only supposed to be a one night stand.. No names were exchanged, just a fun time!! She was never supposed to see him again!! Well life is about to get a bit more complicated for Liv!!
What a great book
This was a great story. Lot of family drama but what family don’t. I think though sometimes men are not from mars I think they just don’t know how to sometimes but when they do figure it out they really do try to fix it .
Loved the chemistry between these two, but hated the storyline that brought them together. Not a trope that I enjoy reading. Luckily I liked these characters enough to keep going, and their chemistry saved it from a lower rating.
Did not finish. The characters were all horrid people that I didn’t care to continue with.
Really enjoyed this book. Could not put it down. Wanted to throw it a couple of times but.. good read.
fun read with lots of unexpected turns.
Great read if a little twisted in spots
3 1/2 stars I enjoyed this book but was frustrated by the childish games the women played and Xanders expectations of Liv. I just wanted him to be in control.
It started with a dare between friends to have a one night stand at the ex’s wedding. After meeting the hot sexy stranger at the wedding ceremony they decide to not exchange names. She spends the night with him and sneaks out of his penthouse in the early hours to avoid the walk of shame. Liv has a family gathering the following weekend. Imagine her surprise when she finds him sitting on the lounge with her father. Her sister Gabby behaves rude and entitled, she’s pregnant and just gotten engaged to Xander. What ensues is some very awkward moments between the family.
Too risque for me
When the right woman comes along you fall in love instantly and fight to make it forever.
Ok story. Writing does not flow well, its obvious that it’s written by 2 different people.
The sex scenes were very hot and steamy. I stopped reading it, when I realized that the main character was engaged to the girl’s sister at the time they had sex. That turned me off to finishining the story.
The characters were rather realistic, the “hero” behaved in a way that made me wish he was real so that I could slap some sense into him, but when he finally explained his motives it became more sympathetic. Any book that can make a character go from disgusting to sympathetic has my vote!
Liked this book. It is considered a stand alone. Cannot wait to read the rest of the series
Loved the whole series
