This is the second book I have read by author Elizabeth Grayson and I sure will be reading more! The books, this one included, have very well developed characters and story lines. My interest was totally grabbed from the first page. The stories are involved, historically accurate, and have romance, action and adventure. Very touching book! I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys historical romance.
Really enjoyed story. Want to read more.
This Western novel contained an entertaining and interesting story line from beginning to end. Judge Gallimore and Shea Waterston’s initial meeting at a hanging was a start to their lives becoming intertwined in ways of unpredictable circumstances. Her desire to find her son who she was forced to give up lead her to make assumptions that Cameron’s child was her long lost child. The story continued to unfold unpredictably with several unexpected developments including tragic events. Well developed with intrigue, tradegy and romance with interesting secondary characters made the story an enjoyable read to the very end.
Read this book is about the early years of brbrtish British colonialtime. I can remember their names because I read it longtime ago. This woman gave birth to a child and she cannot keep it. She gave him for adoption. Now she is going to other territory to search for him. The circumstances are difficult because the relationship with the native Americans are very friendly. The natives attack and kill her family in the area. She destitute but this farmer who is an English aristocratic gave her sanctuary. I know that he has a sister with. Him and bo adopted son. The problem is that she think that his son is her son. There a great story is worth to read it. You will learn of the United States history
This story touches the heart. A man who is empty because of a decision years ago that cause harm to his own family. A woman who gave away her baby when she became homeless and now searches along the orphan train that took her baby away. These two come to love each other filling the emptiness with each other. This story is filled with a lot of tragedy, but also a lot of hope. This story is about two mature people who find that they need each other in their lives, but circumstances will find them coming to odds. The characters are compelling and the story draws you in til its conclusion.
Wow!! I give this a solid five stars, Elizabeth Grayson is a gifted writer, her writing flows well with descriptive scenery that take the reader into the lives of the characters. Intriguing and witty dialogue kept this reader turning the pages till the end! I highly recommend reading this, it’s like a trip in the Wild West.
“I received this book from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.”
I love a historical western romance that features a child in peril and Painted By The Sun certainly delivers! That’s just one of the many reasons that this poignant story pulled at my heartstrings and kept me riveted from beginning to end. Cam and Shea are both looking for absolution for what they consider unforgivable transgressions in their pasts and both are afraid they’ll never find it. Their journey and the way it affects others in their lives makes for an unforgettable and thoroughly engaging story, which I whole heartily recommend. I received this book from ebook discovery and I voluntarily give it my honest review.
After reading this book I bought the other three in the series. I read …a lot! Usually a book a day. I can tell you that editing, proof reading, etc. seems to be a thing of the past. Ms. Grayson’s stories were fresh, historical, and well written. I just sorry I hadn’t read her sooner. Several of her books are out of print. This is a great series of stand alone stories.
Nice clean story.
Loved the story. Didn’t want to put down.
Both the H and h were great in this book. My heart went out to the h, to have to give up your child for his own good had to be heartbreaking. I love stories like this one, wonderful characters and a page turner to boot. I will have to find more of this authors work.
I plan on reading more of her books, I really enjoyed this book..
