My best friend’s brother grew up. Hot.I know the rules. The rules say Dylan Cameron is off-limits. That includes his messy dark hair and wickedly knowing eyes. The hard body he built playing rugby. Definitely his reputation for doing very bad things. But when the most gorgeous, mysterious, brooding boy I never let myself want shows up on my birthday with a confession that sends me reeling… I … myself want shows up on my birthday with a confession that sends me reeling…
I can’t ignore him.
But I refuse to screw up everything over a guy.
Especially that guy.
Because Dylan is my best friend’s brother.
Her younger brother.
Schooled is a deliciously smart, steamy forbidden college romance from USA Today bestselling author Piper Lawson. This full-length story can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Schooled has all the elements of an amazing new adult romance. I loooove this genre, and Alexis and Dylan’s story hit all the right notes to make it a great example of college dreams, yearning, and feels with some serious HEAT thrown in. This was my first read from Piper, and I will definitely be back for more!
Schooled has been my first contemporary /real romance and honestly, the story and the characters just blow me away. It’s an awesome andreal story and couldn’t stop reading. The writing is wonderful and I ‘ve already become addicted to Travesty series.
The characters, especially, Dyla and Lex are smart, sweet and sexy. They work hard to follow their dreams, make mistakes in their way but learn to to deal with them and becoming adults always being faithful to their heart.
This book has the perfect balance between sexiness, love, sweetiness and good plot. I love the slow burn and the development of the characters and their story.
Totally recommending this book and I’m already reading the book 2.
I loved the characters in this book so much that after finishing the 1st book I bought the series.
Great storyline. Loved it
I really loved this story. The set up was great and the characters kept it moving forwards at a good pace. I really liked the idea behind it all. Can I keep Dylan? The characters are great and I loved watching their relationships as they built. I could have happily read more.
This was my first book by Piper Lawson, and I loved it!!
I really enjoyed the storyline, how they knew each other, but most of all, how they thought they could keep it a secret. NOPE!! Only for so long you can!!
I loved how Dylan would do anything for his family, including what he had already done for them.
Lex knew what she wanted to do it, and was on track until Dylan came back into her life. He did things, but he had reasons as to why.
I really enjoyed the humour in the book as well! I was laughing and sometimes shed a tear as well.
Well done, and I can’t wait to read more by this author!
Some of my fave quotes from the book
1. Perched on Jake’s lap was a pretty blond girl trying to devour his head with her mouth. – This is exactly how I would see it if I were to see my ex with another girl after we just broke up.
2. “She’s not you, Lex.” – The moment it all changed for Dylan!!! *Swoon*
3. He had been holding out. Not just on me, but on all of womankind. – When Lex sees Dylan without a shirt on for the first time. LOL!!!!
4. Friendly Dylan would lull you into a false sense of complacency, then crazy-hot Dylan would club you over your head and drag you off before you even noticed anything had changed. – Lex finally seeing both sides of Dylan!
5. “Is it cookies? You know I love cookies. I’d do a lot for a good cookie.” – Me in real life!!!! COOKIES ARE LIFE!
6. ‘If anyone can make a living selling overpriced skirts, it’s those two.’ – This just made me laugh cause it’s Ava and Lex’s parents who say this.
I have questions about some of Dylan’s behavior, but overall this was an excellent book.
Lex is a very complex young woman. She struggles to see her true worth after her father leaves her and her mother and she is ‘blamed’ for his departure when she is a kid. This forces her to become very focused in college and she works with her best friend, Ava, as they plan to launch their own fashion line following graduation. Lex is the business mind behind this venture which Ava brings the creative skills in designing the clothes. What she doesn’t expect is to run into Dylan, Ava’s little brother on campus, and for sparks to fly, try as she might to compartmentalize her life and stay away from boys as promised. But Dylan is easy to talk to, fun to be around and accepts her for who she is, crazy OCD tendencies and all. Can they have a relationship? What will Ava think? As their big break approaches, will Lex get everything ready on time? There are many layers to reveal for both Lex and Dylan that kept me guessing about this duo. Lex did frustrate me at times as she kept fighting their attraction but on the flip side, I had to appreciate her devotion to her convictions. Dylan provided his own set of twists and challenges which had me wondering at times, is he a good guy or a bad guy? I loved getting to find out!
Some major sneak-up-on-you-hotness in this book!
This was the second book I read in this series; I started with book 3 and loved it so much I wanted to start at the beginning. Schooled was an awesome “first of the series” in that it established a perfect foundation for the rest of the series.
But good gracious, I was NOT expecting the level of HOT contained in these pages!
Dylan is certainly broody and VERY intense. I really liked him, and I really liked him when he finally went after who he wanted; Lex.
And I loved when Lex finally pulled her head out of her bottom and went after Dylan right back! I was really rooting for Lex, as she went through a streak of horrible luck and couldn’t wait for her to get her happy ending.
This is an outstanding New Adult Romance series, and I can’t wait to read book 2!!!
(I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)
I absolutely loved this book! It had me interested and involved from page one to the end. This is the story of Lex, a college student focusing on starting a fashion business with her best friend Ava and ignoring her broken heart. She doesn’t see it coming when she falls for Ava’s younger brother (only by 14 months) Dylan. When she sees him in college he is no longer the trouble maker kid teenager she was used to seeing. They have a connection that they can’t fight. But Lex is fighting it all the way. She doesn’t want to ruin her friendship with Ava and she is afraid of getting hurt again. I loved all the characters and it was so much fun following the story. I was rooting for Lex & Dylan the whole way through. I loved that when I thought I had these characters figured out, I was taken by surprise. This was a well written story that keeps the reader hooked. When I got to the end of this story I had to take a breather because I was coming down from a book high. I love when a story does this to me. I can’t express how much I loved this book. Piper Lawson did a great job at telling this story. She knew how to hook me and keep me there. I highly recommend this book to romance and feel good story fans. You will laugh, want to cry, & smile a lot. This book is for adults. But the love scenes don’t overpower the story. That also made me a fan. I am all for romance. But if it doesn’t have a great story I’m out. And this isn’t the only book! I will be starting the second one in the series, Stripped, and I am excited.
