Maggie Flynn has always been a good girl. She leads a simple life and believes in helping others. Under normal circumstances, she would never even consider performing the dance of the seven veils at a bachelor party. But when her best friend begs for help and waves the promise of much-needed cash in her face, Maggie reluctantly agrees to step outside of her comfort zone and relax her lofty … standards a little.
Most doctors don’t make house calls anymore, including Michael Callaghan. But he’s willing to make an exception when the pretty redhead with the jewel-like green eyes takes a header off the stage at his brother’s bachelor party. Something about her piques his masculine interest, and it’s not just her dancing.
Lightning hits the Callaghan clan a third time when Michael and Maggie find themselves snowbound during a classic nor’easter, but their bond is soon tested when Michael is forced to choose between following his finely-honed instincts and respecting Maggie’s wishes.
It’s a hell of a choice. Either way, he could lose her forever.

When Maggie agrees to do something far beyond her comfort zone little does she know it may be the best decision of her life. Michael is immediately attracted to the sweet little dancer who takes a header off the stage of his brother’s bar and needs his assistance. They are storm stayed together and develop a bond that changes everything for them both. However one decision could shatter it all. This was another wonderful story with all the Callaghan brothers and their family dynamics.
Loved it.
I just finished reading this for the second time, and it just keeps getting better and better.
The plot and back story are well thought out with plenty of action, angst and lovely drama.
Recommend
House calls is the third Callaghan brother story. It is alpha and insta-love, which I loved. I loved Michael but definitely wish Maggie was a bit (or a lot) less stubborn.
“…he had found his croie. His heart. His perfect woman. His soul mate.”
I listened on audiobook and enjoyed the experience. I can’t wait to listen to more books in this series.
-4 Stars-
House Calls is another spectacular contemporary romance by Abbie Zanders. Ms. Zanders has once more provided readers with a book that is well-written and packed with amazing characters. BEWARE…this series is addictive! Maggie lives in the home her grandparents left her, growing herbs, fruits and vegetables to help others. Michael Callaghan is a doctor and one of the Callaghan brothers, doing occasional special ops. Maggie and Michael’s story is packed with drama, humor, sexy bits and a touch of suspense. This book sucked me in and I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. House Calls is book 3 of the Callaghan Brothers Series but can easily be read as a standalone…I suggest reading them in order, not because you have to in order to understand the story, but because they are just that good.
I read a print copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Michael finds his heart in Maggie. She gives him the peace that he didn’t know was missing. Maggie is so taken with Michael but she can’t see what he sees in her. Add to that her stubbornness creates some really trying times in their relationship. The Callaghan clan pulls together no matter what and they’ve made Maggie one of their own.
Unexpected twists and turns, you just never knew where she was going to go next with the story. I love how naturally Michael and Maggie came together and how the relationship developed. Although they had their bit of drama it wasn’t over done.
I absolutely love the Callahan family. They represent everything that a family should be. I love how Abbie gives you updates of all the members of the family in each book, that it’s a continuation of their life story.
I highly recommend reading the entire series as I’m reading them all back to back. I just love them.
Happy reading!
