Just friends. We’re just friends. No, really. She’s just my best friend… Arizona Turner has been my best friend since fourth grade, even when we “hated” each other. We’ve been there for one another through first kisses, first “times,” and we’ve been each other’s constant when good relationships turned bad. (We even went to colleges that were minutes away from each other…) Throughout the years, … other…)
Throughout the years, and despite what anyone says, we’ve never crossed the line.
Never thought about it.
Never wanted to.
Until one night changed everything.
At least, it should’ve …
Just friends.
We’re just friends.
I’m only saying this until I figure out if she’s still “just” my best friend…

This story was so great that I could not stop thinking about them! The only problem I had was that I would like to have gotten a bit more history. And I also would like to have known what happened when she returned to Paris. These characters invaded my sleep and I couldnt even start another book right away because my brain kept going right back to Ari and Carter. This was probably one of the cutest couples I have read about in a LONG time
***I wrote this in July 2015….. and I have read the book 3 more times since then. It is THAT great!!!***
Sincerely, Carter is a fabulous contemporary romance by Whitney Gracia Williams. Ms. Williams has delivered a book that is well-written and loaded with amazing characters. The only thing I didn’t care for about this book is the alternating first-person point of view format. Carter and Arizona have been best friends since childhood. Their story is laugh-out-loud funny with plenty of drama and sizzle thrown in. I enjoyed this book from cover to cover and would gladly read more from Whitney Gracia Williams in the future. Sincerely, Carter is book 1 of the Sincerely, Carter Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Carter
What an amazing story about 2 best friends that don’t see the forest for the trees. Their ‘best friend’ relationship revolves around each other not realizing it keeps them from having true relationships with other people. I love the notes Carter/Ari wrote to each other. A heart warming read. Of course you always have a twist before the end! Would recommend as a definite addition to your ‘To Be Read’ list.
Maybe this book is meant for college girls. I checked out mentally in the scene where the heroine is drinking completely unrealistic amounts of booze and partaking in a slip and slide in our heros back yard. Yep – just never going to identify with that or care about a character for whom that is considered a good time.
4.5 It was Fourth-Grade…No, Fifth-Grade Stars. How have I not read this book before? I absolutely LoVeD IT!!! How can you not love a book that starts with a fourth-grade apology letter that really isn’t an apology? It’s adorably cute and written as a true fourth-grader, spelling and all. The attitude exudes off the page. And that was in the first paragraph. This book just kept getting better and better.
Ari and Carter started with a love-hate relationship in fourth-grade, they argue constantly, text/call one another during classes, dates, etc. No one believes that they are truly just best friends, without benefits. Everyone says it’s impossible. They are living proof that it’s not. Neither one of them ever truly date anyone seriously. They even meet each other at Gayle’s, the local diner, after their dates to discuss how it all went.
Until one day, while listening to the guys talking about the girl walking toward them Carter looks up and sees his BFF in a totally different light. It takes Ari just a little longer to realize she doesn’t see Carter as just her BFF anymore, either. It’s hilarious to watch them stumble through figuring things out.
This book is a gem. It’s a fresh take on a much-written story. The characters have “leap off the page” chemistry, their one-liners are hilarious, and their connection can be felt by the reader. Their friends just add to the dynamics. If you haven’t picked this one up yet, you really should check it out. It’s a sweet, fun, quick read. I suggest enjoying it with a side of waffles from Gayle’s. With vanilla yogurt and strawberry chips…..
Loved it! Read it in a few hours!
I absolutely loved this book. I felt like it was me in high school with a male friend. It is so well written.
Great read. Will make you cry!
I enjoyed this book
Really liked the POV from both Carter and Arizona. Likeable and believable characters. Good read.
kept me interested
Loved it
Cute story. I have read a novella trilogy by this author which I had a love and hate relationship with, but this book was okay.
Like I said cute story but I didn’t feel anything. I liked the characters and the story line but I didn’t love anything about it.
I’m going to read another book by this author and see how I feel.
I couldn’t put it down! Loved it!
