Love the Eve Dallas books!
I have enjoyed all of the books in this series.
Probably my least favorite of J.D. Robb’s IN DEATH series, where a former criminal associate of her husband Roarke crosses paths with a case Eve’s investigating – and nearly everybody behaves badly in the fallout! If I hadn’t already been in love with the series and these characters, I might have rejected this book outright.
Not Recommended for new readers to this series, at all – try either starting from the beginning (NAKED IN DEATH), or if you want to pick things up in the middle, try BETRAYAL IN DEATH – two books after my first in the series, LOYALTY IN DEATH (a good thriller in itself, but followed by two weaker entries in the series…including this one).
Excellent as always when describing this series.
All. Of. The in. Death books. Are. Good. Need. To. Make a movie
Love all her books
I am thoroughly entranced by every “In Death” book. I read them as soon as they come out, usually multiple times. Please keep them coming!
I’m an avid In Death fan. I have yet to read a book that I don’t like. Have read all the books and this morning I just bought the latest Connection In Death released this week!
Love love love Eve Dallas Roarke Peabody etc etc
Great read!
Love all of JD Robb’s In Death Series, beginning with Naked In Death. Great futuristic, detective mysteries with romance, & back stories on most of the characters over the course of the series. Diverse characters, easy read.
Eve has a true cop killer on her hands as well as her husband Roarke who refuses to stay out of her work. Again, I didn’t guess who the killer was…guess I’m not paying attention! I find I can’t put these murder mysteries down. Of course, Roarke could be incentive.
This is a series that you can reread over and over.
A cop is killed in one of Roarke’s clubs while working a second job and Eve soon finds herself investigating a whole department for corruption. It is discovered that one of Roarke’s old acquaintances is involved and things start to get dangerous. It’s always a joy to visit Eve and Roarke again. I so love the way they banter about things. Peabody and Mavis are back as well. Mavis has a new gig that it heating up for her. Peabody continues to follow Eve’s lead. I’m looking forward to the day when Peabody comes into her own. The only thing that continues to bother me in this series is how independent Eve is and how she won’t let anyone help her. She even pushes Roarke away many times. She still feels like she has to prove herself. Although it makes for a great story, I hope she one day gets over that.
her books never let me put them down. Once I start, I’d better have time to finish them. The themes may be the same, but the plots never are.
As are all of this series, well written and interesting.
