Being back in small town Salvation is pretty much the last thing I wanted. Well, having my jerk of an ex-boyfriend publish naked photos of me to a revenge porn site is the absolute last thing, but ending up back in my small hometown humiliated and broke is definitely a strong number two. Yet here I am. And the only person less thrilled to see me back is my former hookup and now police chief Mateo … police chief Mateo Garcia. He thinks I’m nothing but trouble. I’m not saying he’s wrong, but there’s more to me than a few youthful misdemeanors. I’m going to prove just that to the town and the sexy, surly man who thinks there’s nothing to me but fluff—all without surrendering to the undeniable attraction to Mateo that makes me catch my breath every time him looks my way.
A Stand Alone Sassy Romance.

3.5 Don’t Know What You’ve Got Till It’s Gone Stars. That seems to be the theme of this one. Trouble on Tap is the third book in the Sweet Salvation series which centers around a set of triplets. This one is Olivia’s story. As the youngest and wildest of the triplets, once she left Salvation she swore that she’d never be back. Never say never.
Mateo has known Olivia almost his whole life, she’s his sister’s BFF. They’re both from Salvation. Like Olivia, Mateo left Salvation and never looked back. He joined the Marines and realized his dream of becoming a recon Marine. He was never going to return to Salvation. Never say never.
The book opens about three years after Mateo and Olivia have seen one another. They had a tradition of hooking up before each of Mateo’s deployments. Olivia was his good luck charm. Well, until his last deployment when everything went FUBAR. Now he’s back in Salvation as the chief of police. Olivia? Well, she’s rolling into town flat broke. Her ex just cleaned her out. As in cleaned out the bank account, sold all her furniture and any clothes worth anything. His latest stunt? He’s posted pictures of Olivia on a revenge porn site. Did I mention that she also lost her job? She’s back in Salvation to lick her wounds and figure out where she’s going from here.
A quick read that is sometimes quirky, sometimes steamy, and almost always entertaining.
Another triplet getting her well deserved happily ever after. Throw in some unrequited love, small town machinations and sisters who do it by themselves! A lovely read.
I Loved, Loved, LOVED this story! Sweet, Sexy, Sassy and FUN! That is exactly what this story was!! I loved reading Mateo and Olivia’s romance and Trouble and Handsome were just an added bonus! This romance made me laugh in parts, feel sad at some parts and always hopeful second chances can happen. Great story! Don’t miss out!
This was my first visit to the town of Salvation, and I have to admit I am highly disappointed in myself for not making the visit A LOT sooner. With this being the third book in the series, I was concerned I’d be missing out on pertinent details since I was reading the books out of order, but I can honestly say that after reading this book I didn’t get that feeling at all, if anything, I am now even more eager to read the first two installments in the series.
After being labeled the town outcast Olivia Sweet leaves home to become a famous model, after a few years of success on the catwalk, she is once again rejected by her “town” and sent packing. The only thing that makes her feel whole in life is a relationship she has with fellow hometown-er Mateo Garcia. While their relationship isn’t exactly a conventional one, she stills tries to hold onto it, in hopes that they can have a normal life together, only once again to be rejected. Mateo is a soldier, a man of honor, and a man that has no intention of ever being tied down. And while he cares for Olivia, he knows that he just isn’t the right man for her, so when she proposes they take their sexual relationship to the next level, he decides rejecting her is the most honorable and safe thing he can do for her, not realizing that he is making the biggest mistake of his life.
So, once again Olivia picks herself up and moves on, only to be cast away again. With nothing left to lose she decides to move back home to Salvation, in hopes of redeeming herself and finally finding some well deserved happiness, only to come face to face with the man her cast her aside so many years ago…
This story was a real treat to read, and a even more beautiful one to watch unfold. To watch Olivia suffer so many personal losses in her life, and then see her dust herself off and get back up again was not only empowering, but also a true testament of human spirit and strength. Ms. Flynn has truly outdone herself once again with the character development in this story!
I highly recommend you take a little time to visit the town of Salvation and meet these amazing characters that Ms. Flynn has created, you will not be disappointed!!
