I loathe this book. It’s cloying, hyper-sentimental, the illustrations are weak, and the simplistic manner in which it implies that one’s parent(s) become one’s child(ren), while in a sense it may be close to the truth, I find disrespectful and offensive.
One of our family’s favorites!
Wonderful children’s classic
Great children’s book about unconditional love.
It’s a little creepy. But the children seem to like it.
One of the creepiest books I’ve ever read. I refuse to read this to my kids. I really can’t figure out why it is so popular.
My mother read it to me, I read it to my daughter, and she already wants to read it to her future children. Enough said.
Whenever I read this book to my children or class it chokes me up.
Timeless.
A wonderful expression of the love a mother always has for a child. Years only change the proximity and circumstances but never the love. Great book to read to a young child.
Kids book but I cried and cried. Hard on my heart. My kids thought I was crazy.
Very thoughtful and comforting.
Fun book for young kids
This book is one for all times, all seasons. It is wonderful in expressing lasting love between parent and child.
LOVED reading this to my children! <3
