The second book in the blockbuster phenomenon The Maze Runner series now features chapters from The Fever Code, the highly-anticipated conclusion to the MAZE RUNNER SERIES—the novel that finally reveals how the maze was built! Thomas was sure that escape from the Maze would mean freedom for him and the Gladers. But WICKED isn’t done yet. Phase Two has just begun. The Gladers have two weeks … begun.
The Gladers have two weeks to cross through the Scorch—the most burned-out section of the world. And WICKED has made sure to adjust the variables and stack the odds against them.
Friendships will be tested. Loyalties will be broken. All bets are off.
There are others now. Their survival depends on the Gladers’ destruction—and they’re determined to survive.
The Maze Runner and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials are now major motion pictures featuring the star of MTV’s Teen Wolf, Dylan O’Brien; Kaya Scodelario; Aml Ameen; Will Poulter; and Thomas Brodie-Sangster. The third movie, Maze Runner: The Death Cure, will hit screens in 2018.

I read the whole series! Couldn’t put it down.
LOVE IT.
Omg
The Gladers escaped the Maze at the end of book one and believe to be safe now. But what they don’t know yet, they now have to face a new challenge. And it won’t be easier, more likely harder. (That, at least, was told the Gladers) One may argue now if the Scorch is harder than the Maze, because both have their horrible parts. And as long as people die it’s not easy at all.
Phase Two, The Scorch Trials, turns out to be a challenge for itself. Burning hot sun in the dessert and Cranks are just a few to name.
I enjoyed this book. It was not better or worse than the first book. It was just different. In the first one, there was everything new and we had to learn a lot as had Thomas. Now, we know the gist of it and stumble with Thomas into another strange surrounding. Thomas knew nobody when he entered the Maze in the first book; know he has to question the people he got to know, if they are really his friends or if some of them may even betray him.
The story never really gets boring. There is always something going on but not like in an action movie with fight scene after fight scene. It’s a well written story and even though a few people say that it never explains anything in the book, I for my part think that’s the whole point. If we would know more than Thomas or if they would explain everything to the Gladers, then the whole point would he gone. It may even be a predictable book if we would know everything already. Not knowing makes it more thrilling.
i loved it
First off I want to say that I agree with many of the reviewers that “The Scorch Trials” was not as good as “The Maze Runner”, but in no way those that imply that this is not a fitting sequel.
The Scorch Trials is a fast paced action story that in many ways rivals it predecessor. In this part of the journey the story is faster and I thought much more dangerous than the first one.
The characters were more diverse and because of the immense circumstances much more layered.
In many ways I enjoyed this book more, but because “The Maze Runner” was the first and a new type of story (at least for me) it remains my favorite.
Once again as I have said in other reviews this is a good read, but to get the full impact you should read the complete series.
This book is A-maze-ing. It is action packed and filled with humour. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat.
I loved Scorch trails because I thought that its was a great sequel to maze runner keeps you reading I hope you love scorch trails IT’S AWESOME

I was disappointed with this book up until the middle, then it got interesting.
Maze runner got me !! The books are sooo freakin’ awesome than the movies !! Its all i can say ! Bloody awesome !
Unpredictable and possibly the most gripping book I’ve ever ready in the dystopian genre.
Loved the end.
(2.5 / 5)
I liked The Maze Runner. It had its issues, sure, but I enjoyed it and was looking forward to seeing what came next. This book almost killed my interest in the series. I was happy to see more of certain characters from the previous book, but the plot was convoluted and Teresa was a bad caricature of an angsty teenager.
So much of this book seemed completely unnecessary. The things that were designed by WICKED felt like such obvious contrivances, especially by the end, that I can’t help but wonder what Dashner was doing. Did he have the entire trilogy figured out in advance? It seemed more like he wrote himself into a corner with the first book and just decided to go with it. I’m trying to have faith that it will make actual sense in the end, but I don’t see how head-eating liquid metal is something that will help anyone save the world.
And as for the relationship between Thomas and Teresa…I just couldn’t care less anymore. I was good with it in the first book, even liked the uniqueness of their bond. But now, they’re just a vehicle for angst. And a pointless love triangle. And angst. Seriously, the teen drama in this book… Maybe it wouldn’t have bothered me if the plot had advanced really at all, if any real questions had been answered.
I’m invested now, though, so I’ll read the third one and soon, so I can put to rest the questions and The Question of whether or not it delivers on the interest I had after reading the first book.
The movie was better
Another great book, but I’m still SO confused. Even having read The Kill Order, I’m trying to figure out why…why all the trials? Why the variables and patterns…what could this possibly have to do with a cure. One thing is for certain, Dashner has ensured the continued reading of these books! I just HAVE to know! I’m already eager to start book 3. I hope that Thomas can learn to forgive Teresa, even if they can’t find that friendship they had before. I hope that she doesn’t turn out to be bad. I hope that he finds Brenda again and the beginnings of whatever friendship there might have been there. And I hope and pray that he (and we) finally get some concrete answers as to what on Earth is going on!
