EMOTIONALLY MOVING!
A great read with a nice flowing storyline that is impossible to escape the heartache and to get to the end unscathed. 13 times this well written read brought tears to my eyes and that to me makes me glad I got the chance to read his amazing story that is about overcoming a tragic loss, a life altering incident, obsacles, love and moving on and rebuilding your future. An amazing read that I most definitely recommend!
This book is really heartbreaking. Twins, Ian and Isabelle were always together until they weren’t. She had a hard time coping, instead of pursuing her dancing career she joined the Army like her brother was going to do. Connor has always loved her, but didn’t think his best friend and her brother Ian would like. They both will have to come thru some trying times. Life is hard for wounded veterans and for females it’s just as hard and on families as well. Loved this book.
A beautiful book by a talented writer
This was such an emotional piece and it will touch your very soul. Isabelle is an exceptional character what she does after suffering a loss and then facing another dream that is perhaps loss too was outstanding. Connor her brother’s best friend was excellent too he was in the right place at the right time. I loved the book and I highly recommend it. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

The start of the story is already very intense, full of sorrow and grief. The whole story is one of ups and downs. I enjoyed this book where the writer takes you into the rollercoast of emotions that lead to acceptance and get your life back on the road after losing your twin brother, chasing his dream, getting into an accident while performing your service, accept that you live on with one arm …… and always there is Connor, her support in dark times.
Highly Recommended!

Broken Dreams is a heartbreaking and emotional story that demonstrates just how strong someone can be when they need to be.
The storyline is well written and kept my interest from the first page to the last. The tragedies, troubles, and turmoil that Isabelle faces would be hard on someone of any age, let alone a young woman. The relationship between Isabelle and Conner is sweet and heartwarming.

Well written, interesting and emotional. The storyline was smooth and fast paced. The characters were touching and great together. I recommend it to all. I received it from booksprout and this is my voluntary review.
Isabelle is a remarkable person that you will get to know through this touching story of tragic events. Isabelle losses her twin brother, Ian and instead of following her dreams of being a ballet dancer she enlists to server her country which was his dream. Isabelle is faced with more tragedy of her own when she is injured and ballet may no longer be an option. When she comes home to attempt to put her pieces back together, she begins to see her brother’s best friend, Connor as more than just a friend. Life is not always a linear line and this is a sample of that but it can still come to a HEA ending. Enjoy!

Well worth reading. This novel is so different from your standard romance novel, it may even belong to a different category. It is a wonderfully written, story about the loss we can experience in our lives. True, there is romance but it goes into great depth of the human pain that results from a tragic loss, coming to terms with the void that leaves behind, survivor’s guilt and the destruction of dreams. There is a great deal of self-searching and assumptions made as to what would honour someone’s memory. Does love fit into such tumultuous emotions keeping Isabelle and Conner at arm’s length remains for future readers to find out? Does one’s need for love outway the pain a loss causes? I loved the maturity the author handled grief and the process of re-adjusting life goals that shattered, emphasising that we can never take anything or anyone for granted.

This is the story of Izzy and Ian. The struggles she goes through after her twin brother’s death is heart wrenching. This story shows us how life can be hard but with strength and determination dreams can come true. I enjoyed this wonderful story with a full spectrum of emotions. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the 4th book I’ve read written by Cassidy O’Conner; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

“Broken Dreams” is a tale of Izzy’s emotional struggles through grief so powerful that it holds you frozen and unable to move forward. This tale is so raw and emotionally vivid that I felt the loss and pain and grief as if it were my own. I could not stop the tears as I read this tale, locked in place until the last page. Izzy’s ability to gain strength and honor her brother was mesmerizing in its truth. I loved this amazing tale!

Fans of Lurlene McDaniel will love this beautiful story of love and loss. Very similar in some ways to the movie Gracie. Grab a box of kleenex before reading.

I loved the first 40% of the book, but then it just sort of dragged from there. The climax occurred too early in the book in my opinion which left the remainder of it just sort of dragging. I wanted more drama or angst or something during the last 60%. It was more focused on how Izzy coped with day to day life then on the budding romance with Conner.
I also would have liked to see more of the relationship between Ian and Izzy. We’re told they were very close but we’re not given any supporting situations to back this. Why not have more flashbacks of things they did together?
