I have a confession to make, I read this book a long time ago but sadly I did not leave a review. This book was fun, sweet, and everything you would expect from beautiful friendship leading to more. Beck and Lyla were simply perfect, they had undeniable chemistry, and a friendship that was something to cherish. I enjoyed this story immensely.
I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by this author.
It was a typical college romance, but it was cute.
I loved this friends to lovers romance! It’s warm, it’s funny, it’s sweet, and sexy. The characters are great and there is major chemistry between nerdy Lyla and hockey player Beck. The writing is great too. Loved Anatomy of a Player also and can’t wait to read the rest of the series. 4.5 stars.
Cindi Madsen is a new author to me and after reading Getting Lucky Number Seven I don’t understand why I haven’t found her before now, we’ll thats about to change I certainly will be checking out the rest of this series and other books by this very talented author.
Lyla and Beck became best friends when they were paired up in the chemistry class, on paper a nerd and jock shouldn’t have the friendship these guys strike up after all he is the guy who has girls falling at his feet and she is the girl who covers her body by layering her clothes and draping herself in brightly coloured scarfs. When Layla has a disastrous blind date where her date calls her fugly she decides it’s time to change her life and that means a bucket list and who better to help her work through the list than her best friend Beck….
I loved this book ,I loved the strength and depth of Lyla and Beck, I loved that it’s a hockey romance but most of all I loved that this was a carefree sweet at times silly love story. A beautifully written romance with just the right amount of humour by a very talented author looking forward to reading more from her.
Didn’t care for it; took too long to get into plot.
A little hard to believe… The premise wasn’t realistic.
