One fiery night with a beautiful woman makes Lock feel alive again, but he doesn’t realize it’s her, his obsession from the past. His mentor’s widow. When her biker husband was murdered sixteen years ago, Grace Quillen ran away from her small hometown. But when tragedy strikes again, forty-two year old Grace must return to care for her sister and little nephew. One night she indulges in explosive … she indulges in explosive heat with Lock, an attractive stranger she meets at a bar, but the morning after, she’s shaken by her fateful mistake.
Why?
He’s no stranger.
Not only is he an officer in her husband’s bike club, but the two men had once been close friends, although Grace had never had a chance to meet him. Fate is a twisted bitch with a bitter sense of humor.
Lock had heard all about Grace from her husband years ago, from his brothers, seen her in photographs. Hell, she’d become his ultimate dream woman. A fantasy.
Now that once-in-a-lifetime fantasy is his reality, and he’s craving more. A hell of a lot more.
But the club has other plans. For the two of them.
Suddenly Grace is in the thick of the dangerous life she’d once left behind, with her and Lock are on opposite sides of a brutal firestorm ignited by a traitor in the club. With her nephew’s safety at risk and so many volatile secrets on the line, she must summon all her determination and grit. Lock is driven to find the fight in himself once more and do whatever it takes to protect Grace, whether she or his president wants him to or not.
Suspicions simmer, loyalties strain, hearts ache.
The truth hurts.
Once Grace and Lock had nothing. Now, they both have so damn much to lose.

It’s difficult to articulate what makes this story wonderful without spoiling the reading experience for you. I’ll try though. Let me start by saying I’ve never read an MC romance like this before. What sets this one apart is how honest and deep the emotions of the characters are written. It’s much more than hot, sweaty, dirty sex violence and bad deals gone wrong. In fact, there is very little of that. Of course you get to see some MC action however this story isn’t centered on that. Lock & Key is centered on Grace and her roots to her family, both the one given to her in blood as well as the one she chose in marriage. You see her struggle with her past as she tries to reconcile it with her present, with Miller. Their relationship builds under the scrutiny of the club and of dealings in the past. I love the author’s writing style and how she weaved the past and present together so seamlessly. I never felt like I was thrown between the two however it felt more like the two blending right before me eyes. It was refreshing to read an MC romance that focused on the emotional elements, the ties that bind people together instead of the blood, gore and sex. Again. you get all of that too it just isn’t the core of the story. I also love that Miller is an American Indian. That is something I haven’t seen in an MC romance either. I love this story, I love the writing style, I loved seeing the past and present weave, dance and fuse together. I absolutely recommend this to those whom are afraid of reading the MC romance genre. I think the emotional element will appeal to you.
This is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. It’s an MC book and so much more. Family, brotherhood, cancer, death, and a love so beautiful are all in this book. I loved it!
