NEW DELUXE GIFT EDITION!Nora Roberts presents a novel of love, friendship, and family—and the unpredictable moments that turn a pretty picture into a true work of art.#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts cordially invites you to meet childhood friends Parker, Emma, Laurel, and Mac—the founders of Vows, one of Connecticut’s premier wedding planning companies. After years of throwing … companies.
After years of throwing make-believe weddings in the backyard, flowers, photography, desserts, and details are what these women do best: a guaranteed perfect, beautiful day full of memories to last the rest of your life.
With bridal magazine covers to her credit, Mackensie “Mac” Elliot is most at home behind the camera—ready to capture the happy moments she never experienced while growing up. Her father replaced his first family with a second, and now her mother, moving on to yet another man, begs Mac for attention and money. Mac’s foundation is jostled again moments before an important planning meeting when she bumps into the bride-to-be’s brother…an encounter that has them both seeing stars.
Carter Maguire is definitely not her type: he’s stable, and he’s safe. He’s even an English teacher at their high school alma mater. There’s something about him that makes Mac think a casual fling is just what she needs to take her mind off dealing with bridezillas and screening her mother’s phone calls. But a casual fling can turn into something more when you least expect it. And with the help of her three best friends—and business partners—Mac must learn how to make her own happy memories…

I’m not someone who loves weddings, but I really enjoyed this series, and the first one, Vision in White, is my favorite. I adore the guy in this. He’s just a wonderful, different sort of hero, a little geeky and bumbling and very likable—the kind of man Hugh Grant often plays. The dialogue’s great, and I love the relationship between the women—both hallmarks of Nora Roberts’ books. And the whole series has some interesting and informative details about wedding planning, catering, cakes, flowers, and photography.
Despite my love of romances, Vision in White is the first Nora Roberts novel I have ever read. I absolutely loved it.
Nora’s descriptions are so vivid I felt like I really was in the story with everyone. The characters are all likable and interesting and the whole Vows business was fascinating. I really learned a lot about the whole wedding industry! This is honestly one of the most charming romances I’ve ever read, I can’t wait to read the next three books in the series!
Just started re-reading one of my favorite Nora Roberts’ series. Love this book!!
first book of the Bride Quartet & a great lead-in to the next 3. Romance, friends, daring to dream and finding The ONE! Who could ask for more & a great read?
The bride quartet is one of my favorite romance series! Love the bonds of best friends and the sweet romance!
Love, love, love this series! 🙂
Vision in White was the first book I ever listened to on audio many years ago. I remembered having such fond memories of how sweet the story was but not all of the details so I chose to re-read it. I love the idea of four best friends owning their own wedding business. I still envisioned myself right there in the setting and having strong feelings while the characters were in the book. This book heavily focuses on Mac and her photography business. I will be continuing a re-read with the rest of the quartet because it feels like visiting old friends.
The entire Bride Quartet is wonderful.
This book and most of Nora Robert’s books a fantastic. I’ve read all in this series and loved them. Truly a great writer.
I read the entire series and loved each one.
I enjoyed the entire series.
Love this whole series- all 4 lead female characters, the dynamics of their friendship, and the way their stories were built up that leads to the other 3 books in this series. Sweetly romantic, funny, and engaging, I have admit I re read the series every few months.
I love all of Nora Roberts books so much !! She is so awesome
Lovely enjoyable read with likeable characters.
We are introduced to a small group of people who have grown up together. Four women who run a business together and two men. Only two are related by blood but family is more than just blood as this group show.
Loved the premise for this series and how well balanced these four women are and how they each have their niche in the business.
The beginning with them all as young girls playing weddings was sweet.
The support system they have for each other covered all moods, no matter how bitchy they act at times and then there was Mrs Grady the housekeeper/surrogate mum.
Mackenzie is so positive and strong with her photography but so weak when it comes to relationships. This is due to her b**ch of a mother who is a user and despicable.
Into this group comes Carter who is the quintessential professor. Bumbly, definitely not world wise. His friend Bob was funny with his helping!!!.
Carter is the brother of a bride and when he and Mackenzie first meet, well lets say, things collide.
How these two meet and fall is so cute and Carter was a wonderful support for Mac.
I just wish we had a bit more getting to know Carter.
Have reviewed twice before, as a single book and in the box set but reviews missing.
