The sexy second book in the New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling Marriage to a Billionaire trilogy by “one of the most exciting breakout novelists” (USA TODAY) Jennifer Probst. To satisfy his late father’s wishes, hot and single billionaire Michael Conte must find a bride–someone who will fit into his traditional family back home in Italy–and fast, so his engaged sister will be allowed to … so his engaged sister will be allowed to wed. With no intention of being tied down, Michael “proposes” to fiery, free-spirited photographer Maggie Ryan: if she will play the part of his fiancee during her trip to Milan for a photo shoot, he will keep away from her married best friend, Alexa, and stop making Maggie nuts with their too-close-for- comfort flirtations.
But once in Italy, sexual tension sparks the hottest no-strings- attached arrangement on any continent. Could marriage be the most enticing trap of all?more
Love this series and this installation does not disappoint
Jennifer Probst has done it again! She continues to deliver incredibly written love stories. I absolutely loved The Marriage Trap by Jennifer Probst, it is an incredible love story, and is the second book in her Marriage to a Billionaire series. I loved the book that I am looking forward to reading the other books in the Marriage to a Billionaire series. I have read other books by Jennifer Probst and always enjoy her wonderfully written stories. Jennifer Probst has once again shown that she is an amazing storyteller. I could not put The Marriage Trap down. I loved every moment on every page. I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. The Marriage Trap is wonderful love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud and the bittersweet moments that pull at my heartstrings and cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. The Marriage Trap is filled with such moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a Jennifer Probst love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. One of my favorite parts is how Jennifer Probst incorporates the title of the book into the love story. Who doesn’t love a fake marriage that turns into true love? The Marriage Trap is the story of Maggie Ryan, photographer and sister of Nick Ryan and billionaire Michael Conte, who runs his family’s business, La Dolce Famiglia. Maggie’s sister-in-law Alexa sets Maggie up on a blind date with Michael. They both enjoy their time together, but Maggie believes that Michael is in love with Alexa. Maggie decides to follow Alexa’s example, and casts a love spell to Earth Mother, looking for a husband. Michael’s sister, Venezia calls him in a panic and is infuriated that their mother will not allow her to marry her fiancé, Dominick until Michael is married. Michael needs to find a fake bride quickly, so that Venezia and Dominick do not elope and cause even more distress to the family. Michael approaches Maggie to be his fake wife. Maggie agrees, but Michael must agree to stay away from Alexa and Nick. Nick and Maggie did not have the best childhood or the best parents, which is the opposite of Michael’s childhood. Maggie wants to protect what Nick and Alexa have. As Maggie and Michael spend time together in Italy being fake married, they share secrets with one another and they grow closer. Michael confesses how his dreams for himself changed with the death of his father, and he took over the role of the man of the house. Maggie and Michael’s relationship changes, and how Mama Conte sets them up for a real wedding. I love that both Michael and Maggie show their vulnerable sides and that each of them changed because of their feelings for one another. Then and unexpected plot twist changes everything for them and forces Michael to follow his heart and his dreams. I love his grand gesture to win Maggie back. I loved that The Marriage Trap is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Maggie and Michael are facing that need to be resolved. I love how all the storylines get resolved so incredibly. I loved the epilogue and how it was more than the happily ever after, and how the qualities that Maggie was looking for in a husband are finally revealed. The Marriage Trap is filled with the poignant and bittersweet moments, as well as the plot twists, that I have come to love and expect in Jennifer Probst’s stories. I love that while in Italy, Maggie gave the love spells book to Michael’s youngest sister, Carina. I am so glad that Maggie got the happily ever after that she so deserved, and trusted Michael’s feelings for her. I love all the changes that both Maggie and Michael were willing to make in their lives and their amazing chemistry. I love the cast of characters in The Marriage Trap and I am looking forward to reading the remaining books in the series. Who doesn’t love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I loved catching up with Alexa and Nick, it felt like a get together with good friends. I thoroughly enjoyed The Marriage Trap; I highly recommend this wonderful romance.
Michael and Maggie clash, argue and drive each other nuts that why they are perfect together.
I really enjoyed this book, and loved that it was set in Italy.
This was…. disappointing to say the least. I have a slew of complaints but mostly it comes down to my dislike of both Michael and Maggie. Maggie is just annoying. Michael is portrayed as caring but really he’s just overbearing. And mostly I wasn’t thrilled with how it handled some of the characters past trauma. There was some very serious trauma in Maggie’s past that I didn’t think was given the care it deserved. This was a bit of a let down because I enjoyed the first book much much more and I had hopes this one would deliver a good romance too.
