THE TROPICAL ADVENTURES OF A CURVY GIRL, A BIKINI AND A KILT. (AND A MISSING PEARL)A beach bunny is definitely not how Amber sees herselfI didn’t want to come to Pole Island at all. My so-called BFF insisted that I would love the luxury break that she couldn’t use. She hated for it to be wasted, she said. What she meant was, she had a thousand errands on Pole Island and what could be better than … what could be better than having a tireless unpaid assistant to run them for her?As if that weren’t bad enough, a man in a kilt with sarcastic smirk seems to show up everywhere I go. Now he’s driving me mad and I can’t even sleep, and all because of the images he’s put in my head. There’s a lot more to Jock than meets the eye.
That feisty lassie has a mouth on her. What a shame she’s the most infuriating bundle of sass that ever wore a sundress. I’m on Pole Island to make a life-changing deal at the party of the year. I’m not looking for love, but I can’t shake the luscious curves of Amber out of my head.Is there any way the hottest full moon beach party in the Caribbean can turn these enemies to lovers?

Amber went to Pole Island on a vacation that her friend had planned but couldn’t use because she was busy with work. Amber had just lost one of her jobs and needed the time to relax and write but her friend kept calling with little tasks for her to do. She met Jock at a bar where he was wearing nothing but a kilt. Amber thought he was filthy hot and loved his Scottish accent but thought he was a vagabond and a flirt. They enjoyed bantering back and forth and Jock thought she was hot, especially after the bikini incident on the beach. The big event coming up on the island was the Buck Moon Party which was basically an over the top tropical beach party. Would Amber find out what Jock had on under his kilt? Would there be another love connection on Pole Island?
I would give this story 4.5 stars. This was a fun story to read and I enjoyed the sparring back and forth in the conversations between Amber and Jock. I especially loved the epilogue.

I love this author and I love this series so far. The characters are wonderful. I can not wait for the rest of the series and I want much more from this author.

I am really at a loss of words for this book. I think the plot and the twists and turns were great but just the overall feel of the book as let me disappointed. Jock and Amber didn’t really appear to have a connection more than just being physically attracted to each other. I think that there was parts just thrown into the book for no reason. There was not a lot of background information on Jock and Amber. Sorry; I honestly would not recommend this book.

A really sweet fast pace book four in the Insta Love Island series! It is well written with characters you will fall in love with, instant attraction, some drama, a misunderstanding, humour, witty banter, and an engaging well developed story line. Definitely recommended!

Struggling to walk in the slippery flip-flops over the shifting beach sand, Amber Purdue again wondered how she let Kayleigh talk her into coming here to this island? A cabin on the lake, yes… this, no. She is working two jobs and can’t make ends meet. The good news is that one of the jobs wants her to work more hours. The bad news is that they want that for the same pay. Ready to try relaxing, her phone rings as Kayleigh is checking on her. She also has some errands for her to run. What happened to the relaxation?
Amber is ready to go into a bar, but a huge older guy with lots of muscles is standing there. He looks really good and, being in a kilt, he looks very eye-catching. As Kayleigh drones on and on, the man approaches her and his accent is gorgeous with those rolling rrrrr’s that sound like purring. She swears she sees movement in his kilt and runs into the dark bar in retreat!
The bartender, Banger Doon, tells her about the Buck Moon beach party with DJs, musicians, and dancers from all over the world. Then she sits at her table and gets lost in her notebook. When she looks up, two pool players, with odd grins that make her uncomfortable, are looming over her. They make suggestive and poor jokes, probably meant as flirting. One rips her notebook out of her hand and reads aloud to embarrass her. Her huge Highlander suddenly appears behind them. Painfully holding their shoulders, he makes them apologize and then hurls them across the floor. He told her she reminds him of his sister who is also defiant and writes in a notebook. When she told him where to put a swizzle stick, he left her alone. Yet his mind wouldn’t stop thinking about her.
As she dreamed, Amber woke and grabbed her notebook to write in the dark all the details of her dream. She described running on the beach in the night and then he was in front of her. He held her and she looked up into his face – no, not him! Why him?
Heading for the beach, Kayleigh calls again with a bigger list of chores. As soon as she got to the beach, Amber told her she had to go and hung up. The water was invigorating and as she walked out, he was there in front of her, and she stretched her arms – which caused her strap to snap! She turned and plunged back into the water!
Later, hearing for the surf shop, Amber sees the two shop girls and they tease her about Jock wanting her. When he comes into the shop, they dance around him and Amber actually feels jealous! Once again, although Jock is on the Island to make a life-changing deal at the party, absolutely not looking for love, he can’t stop thinking about Amber. Will she be attending the Buck Moon party? Is there any possible way the hottest full moon beach party in the Caribbean could work its magic and turn these enemies to lovers?
This is another book in a multi author series and as a lot of them are favourite authors for me it was a no brainier to grab them all even the authors I didn’t know They are short fun reads that draw you in but are quick enough for the fast paced world we live in
In this book we get Amber and Jock’s story She has headed to Poole Island with her best friend it is supposed to be a vacation but is actually turning into her been the PA for her friend She meets Jack who is there to do a business deal that will change his life What he doesn’t expect is that a sassy woman will change it even more because once he sees her he know she will be his for ever after.
