What’s on the lunch menu today? Murder… from the salon before lunch, the last thing she expects is to walk in on a murder. And her cousin holding the murder weapon. The owner of the Curl Up and Dye Salon is dead, and it looks like Aggy’s the only one who could’ve done it.
Christie’s got to prove that blood is thicker than water and solve the mystery before her only relative takes the fall for a crime she didn’t commit. Or did she…?

I have read all of her books and really enjoy her characters. The low rating on this is because of editing. I am not sure if I got a bad Kindle version but it was missing words and at one point it was missing a paragraph that left something hanging for me.
In the second book of the Sleepy Creek Cozy Mystery series sees Aggie as a suspect in a murder investigation, and Christie and her friends are trying hard to find proof of her innocence and find the actual murder. Aggie, PI in the making, experiences first hand what it is like to be a suspect and learns hard and fast about the PI business.
I like Christie and her group of friends, who all have individual characters, described fairly much in detail. They are all likable and realistic in many ways.
An enjoyable read and just enough mystery and suspense to keep an interest in the story.

Story is well written and characters and setting are great fun. Christie is at it again trying to find the real killer and clear her cousin. It is great to see this series progress and I can’t wait for more.

Christi couldn’t believe her eyes when she sees Aggy holding a bloody knife over the body of the local stylist. Not that she was close with Aggy after finding out she is her cousin and only living relative. The town is not happy with this issue, but there is more than what meets the eye in this story. Can Christi clear her cousin even though her boyfriend, Detective Liam tells her to stay out of it? You will need to read the story to see what happens. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Booksprout.
Christie is back and needs to solve a murder investigation (Linda at the Curl Up & Dye Salon) before her cousin Aggy is arrested. Christie walked into the salon and saw Aggy holding the murder weapon standing over the body. With the help of Grizzy, Missi and Vee, and without getting in the way of her boyfriend Detective Liam, Christie is under the gun to solve the murder as soon as possible.

Christie Watson, private investigator and loving the burgers, is ready for lunch having spent her day chasing after cheating spouses, missing cats, and stolen bracelets, in the small town of Sleepy Creek. She goes to the Curl Up and Dye Salon to see if her long-lost cousin – and pretty much useless assistant — Agatha (“Aggy”) Dupin is ready for a burger and finds her standing over the dead body of the salon owner and holding the murder weapon!
With the evidence clearly pointing to Aggy as the murderer, Christie has to track down the real killer quickly before they lock her cousin away! Who in the victim’s life would have wanted to get rid of her? And why?
Wrong place, wrong time? Or just all wrong?
Life since leaving Boston PD Homicide has been rough for Christie.
Now as a PI in her hometown, working fairly unwillingly with her cousin, Christie is still surrounded by death, betrayal, weirdness and some tasty sounding food
An odd set of elements make up murder mystery adventures that are somehow intense explorations of family, friendships and the odd amalgamations that are small town life – mixed with some wacky and a bit macabre humor
Makes me want to sit down for a beer and a burger with all the residents who aren’t dead or currently lethal

I love a good, cozy mystery that grabs my attention, is entertaining, easy to get swept up in and has strong characters. This one by Rosie A. Point is all of that and more! The story line pulls you in right away and captivates you as you turn the pages finding out what will happen. The characters are engaging, intriguing and entertaining. The right amount of humor woven throughout makes it a great cozy mystery. I’m never disappointed with Rosie’s books and I highly, highly recommend!

Christie is at it again investigating a murder. When she visits the Curl Up and Dye Salon to get Aggy, her cousin, the last thing she anticipates is to walk in on a murder. To make matters worse, Aggy is holding the murder weapon. Could Aggy committed the murder? Aggy pleads her innocence but the police believe she is a suspect. Christie feels it is up to her to solve this case. As usual, Liam would like her help, but tells her to keep her nose out of it. All of her friends are willing to help her and the friendship shines throughout the story. This was a great read and I look forward to the next book in the series.
Christie and her cousin have developed a better relationship. Aggie is still set on opening up a PI business of her own to fulfill the terms of her father’s will until she stumbles upon a murder by herself. Unfortunately, her discovery places herself on the list of suspects. Christie is almost sure her cousin is innocent of this crime and is determined to find the killer.
This is the second book in the Sleepy Creek Cozy Mystery series. I was excited to read this after recently finishing the first book. I enjoy the main characters and find Christie’s group of friends to be realistic. I liked seeing a bit more development of Agatha, but she is still a bit flat. Based on some clues in the first book I was looking for something to happen to Grizzy in this book, but either the author decided to go a different direction or I was reading too much into the story. We learn a little bit more about the town in this book. It comes across as a typical midwestern small town. I enjoyed this book and recommend it. I look forward to reading the third book.
The author has brought back our friends and introduced us to some new ones. When Aggy is accused of murder, Christie and her crew set out to prove that Aggy is innocent.
