The original Powertools crew is back in a brand new series!
Joe has it all–a gorgeous wife, two amazing children, four best friends who are also sometimes lovers, and a booming construction business. He never expected to face some sort of midlife crisis. But somehow, he finds himself longing for even more.
How can he tell his family and the rest of the crew that he wishes they could be closer to … wishes they could be closer to his Uncle Tom and the rest of the Hot Rods and Hot Rides gangs?
An emergency crew meeting turns into a steamy attempt to show Joe exactly what he’d be missing out on if he left the crew and their polyamourous lifestyle behind. Will it work? Will he listen to his heart or parts of him below the belt? Either way, he’s screwed.
This is a standalone book set in the Powertools universe. All your favorite Hot Rods and Hot Rides characters will be making appearances as well. Some come make new book boyfriends or hang out with old ones.

I was thrilled to hear there would be a new series bringing the focus back on the Powertool crew. I love seeing the crew back again and seeing how they have grown and changed. I knew there would be conflict in this new chapter but it still surprised me. Joe has had the best life with his wife, kids and the crew but his restlessness of not being with his cousin Eli and Uncle Tom is making him feel conflicted. Watching Joe’s and Morgan’s struggle is hard but you see their strength as a couple. What do they decide? Is their decision the best? We will have to wait and see. I am now dying for the next book Drilled to be released ASAP. Please don’t make me wait to long!
Ah man, as soon as I started reading Screwed, it felt like I’d gone back home to visit with old friends and I loved EVERY second!
Through Hot Rods and Hot Rides, we were able to keep up with the latest and greatest news with the Powertools crew, and Screwed picks up with Joe struggling with missing his family by blood and balancing his family by choice. He wants to be closer in proximity to his uncle and cousin, but he doesn’t want to miss out on anything that’s happening with the Powertools crew. Doesn’t want to mess up the amazing life he already has. But he knows something is missing. And he needs the support from his Powertools family to make it happen.
I adore the love and connection between the entire Powertools crew. How they know when to push one of them to share what’s going on in their heart and mind. And of course that pushing involves some creative hot and sexy times. But that they always have each other’s backs. And that the love between them won’t change with a little time and distance.
Make sure you have the tissues ready to dry those tears. This one really got to me, you could just feel all of the emotions. I felt so bad for Joe and the struggle to decide what to do. Then felt all the others emotions as well. I can’t wait for the next book because I’m dying to know how things turn out. Another great read!

Although this is a stand alone novel, I recommend you pick up the original Powertools Series to read so you get the full impact of the intensity of this book! The crew has been together over a decade, as best friends, coworkers and lovers. Ms. Rylon has the ability to write a large group ménage with such emotion and passion that you feel as though you can get inside each character’s head and heart. This first book in this brand new series will have the reader experiencing a full range of feelings that in the end will give you an ending (no cliffhanger) that will continue to be build upon with future books.

This was a quick and emotional read, it was also smexy as all get out but, man, did this one pull at my heartstrings to the point that I actually got a bit teary and sniffly ~ which was not expected in any way.
My heart hurt for Joe being pulled in two different directions where his heart was concerned, but I really liked how, once he opened up to Morgan and the Crew about what was going on in his head, everyone rallied around him even as their own worlds were shifting sideways.
I have to say, for being a novella this baby packed a punch in every way and while it doesn’t end on an “OMG” style cliffhanger, there is much more to come for Joe, Morgan, their family and the crew and how this one decision will end up affecting everyone and I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
Note: I haven’t read Joe and Morgan’s book, but I have read quite a few of the others in this world at large (a couple of the Powertools and all of the Hot Rides), so while I didn’t recongnize some of the characters, it didn’t take away from the emotional impact of what they were all going through. So, if you are a newbie to this world and want to dive in here, you may feel overwhelmed, but I think it will only make you want to read all the other books in order to catch up.

This is the first book in her new Powertools: The Original Crew Returns series. Joe has a problem. He has everything that he wants but he misses being with his Uncle Tom and especially his cousin, Eli. He wants to stay with the original group that we met In the Powertools series, but he wants his blood family and the Hot Rods and the Hot Rides crew, too. Now he must decide what’s best for himself, Morgan and the kids. He has other thoughts, too, that I hope comes true in the end. This would be a hard decision for anyone, and I was so proud of him once he finally talked with his friends. Now that was one exciting talk that he had, too. I’m going to be honest and say that if you aren’t into sharing hot sex, then this isn’t the book for you. But you will be missing a really great book. I love the original crew and this book just makes you happy that they are back! I can’t wait to read more about the crew in the next book.
I thought that this was an excellent read with an intriguing story to tell. This book takes familiar readers back to where things started but also serves as a wonderful jumping in point for new readers to the author or The Powertools series. It was great to see Joe and Morgan again and get to delve back into their life. Is this book filled with heat and steam? It sure is! But it also tells a story that I think will be very realistic and relatable to many, many readers. I think many people have felt happy but still somehow dissatisfied and/or felt they had it all but still craved something more. This is my frank, freely posted review.
As this was my first time reading a story from The Hot Rods/Power Tools series, I was really impressed and got very into the read, It also gave me a chance to get to know all the characters from both series, so if you have not read the other books you will not be lost reading Screwed as I wasn’t.
The story is based around Joe and Moran. A very happily married couple with a family and a very had decision to make. Leave their friends, The Power Tool crew and Joe’s job and Morgan’s Bakery business. But The Hot Rods are his actual family. He is going to be an uncle soon, and a great work opportunity is also there.
This book is holy hell HOT HOT HOT!!!!!!! The entire gang gets together for some of the steamiest “fun” you will ever read!
I’m thrilled to see the original Powertools crew back again in Jayne Rylon’s newest book, Screwed and she did a fantastic job as always. It felt like I was coming home again and I didn’t want that feeling to end. Joe and Morgan have always been one of my favorite Powertools couple so I was so happy the first book in this new series centered around them. The author did a great job showcasing Joe’s internal struggle between being with his family of friends and the opportunity of living closer to his Uncle Tom and cousin, Eli and how he and Morgan came together as a team to figure things out. It was nice to see the Hot Rod and Hot Rides crew again too. As always, it wouldn’t be a Powertools story without the super hot sexy times that only this author knows how to do so well. I’m really excited to read all the books in this new series.
I volunteered an honest opinion for this advanced reading copy and it did not disappoint. All of the grown-up feels of having to make decisions in life but yet trying to do it alone can sometimes cause old feelings to surface and threathen things you hold most closest to your heart . Will they be able to hold those things and continue or are changes going to break them? Loved following along the journey with them!!
There back… The powertool crew are back. It is very well written. Joe is a cross roads of wanting to be near his uncle and cousin and staying with the powertool crew. Can Joe and Morgan fine happiness away from the crew? Can they make a home in the HotRides territory. It’s a must read to find out
