Exciting and humorous!
Magic saves Wyrding Way…for now! Breeze Blackstone has what’s needed to save her hometown, but the revelations are quite a shock to her. Breeze, Connell and the locals around them are an entertaining group of magical beings. Finding her way in a forgotten world is pretty scary, but Breeze has plenty of folks around her to help her out. Meeting Connell and dealing with that attraction is the icing on the cake. Irresistible! The author’s sense of humor keeps me giggling throughout. The story isn’t quite complete, yet, but has a rousing victory and a delicious HFN ending.
*4.5 stars*
Hilarious, top-notch romance…
I’m new to the Magic and Mayhem universe but definitely not this author so I knew pouncing on this title was a sure thing. And it was! Breeze was funny, warm and, surprisingly, completely okay with the stunning events that happened on her cupcake-filled birthday. Cupcakes, familiars, shifters. Magic, dark and otherwise, danger, hilarity. This fan-fiction novella had it all, including a smoking hot male lead in Connell. Did I mention traditional Scottish kilts? Oh my… *fans self*
Breeze and Connell had chemistry that really did seem to have supernatural intervention. At the same time they fit together perfectly. The relationship between them grew at hyper speed but that didn’t mean it wasn’t super smoldering.
Witty dialogue and heart-touching moments made lots of room for a host of intriguing characters including (but not limited to) grumpy pixies and nefarious seagulls. This quick read could only have been better if it was longer. Much longer….
There is more to come even as Collen and Breeze found their happily ever after. It remains to be seen how long that will be…
*I happily reviewed this story
LOL HILARIOUS! I loved this book so much and laughed my tail off! Don’t get me wrong there are some serious parts, some oh heck moments, some steam, but the lighthearted quirky moments made this book for me. I will never look at a cupcake the same again. You will understand pretty fast what I mean. I am beyond ready for book 2.
Breeze is an orphan. Her parents died when she was young and she remembers very little…. but not really the important stuff. She is made to believe that she is not a very powerful witch and she just goes with the flow. The book begins on her 26th birthday and she receives a package telling her it is time to go home. What the heck just happened?? There is a huge a$$ mystery surrounding her that needs to be solved. I loved how it all comes together… sort of.
Connell is undercover in Wyrding Way because there is something sinister going on and he needs to put an end to it. Put Breeze and Connell together and sparks start to fly! There is an HEA for these two but there is also a promise for more.
Warning do not read this book in public. This book had me rolling on the floor laughing. Poor breeze is about to have her whole world turned upside down and sideways and lucky us we get to go along for the ride. Every time I thought I got my laughter under control BOOM! The author threw something else into the pot. A total laughfest.
Tongue in cheek mayhem rules this witty Wild West showdown between an unexpectedly strong witch and a wielder of darkness. Breeze has been alone for 13 years after having lost her parents. Connell is a gigolo of the sea, this sexy witch could be a delightful distraction, right? Shifters of many kinds, odd familiars, fairies, and the like round out the supporting cast of wacky inhabitants in Breeze’s hometown. Puns abound. But most of all Breeze and Connell and their electrifying chemistry prove that even unassuming everyday girls can have their dreams come true.
A special man for a very special witch
What better way to become part of the Magic and Mayhem Universe then with a bang. The author really outdid herself with this first book in her brand-new series. I love how Breeze was able to kind of just roll with all of the changes in her life, thank goodness because the author took her to some really fantastic things that she would have missed otherwise. The emotional impact of this story is off the charts, there might have been some ohhing and ahhing, a couple of gasps in shock, and maybe a tear or two, and I can’t wait to see what will happen next. Like all of the books in the Magic and Mayhem Universe, the pages are filed with laughs as well as danger and new experiences and a cast of quirky, crazy characters that just seep right into your heart. I am looking forward to whatever the author, fate, and the Baba Yaga brings to this series next.
Too Hexy for Her Broom is the first book in the Hot and Hexy series, and is also connected to the Magic and Mayhem universe. When the clock strikes midnight on Breeze’s twenty-sixth birthday, she never expects her entire world to change, memories to return, and her magic to expand, but surprise! Add in a curse, a hexy selkie, and a fuzzy familiar, and she rises to the challenge. But will Breeze and Connell be able to save her hometown in time?
Oh my goodness, this book was the perfect feel-good, romantic comedy with magic and a bit of suspense, and I couldn’t help but giggle and fall in love with Breeze and Connell! I thought Breeze was refreshing because she was so go with the flow, accepting of all of her life changes, and I loved how quickly she felt protective of her home town! Connell was fun because he was a bit anti-commitment, but the goddess is never wrong. He really had to adjust his own thinking and future. I loved how he was able to center Breeze when needed, and how she was able to show him what is most important in life! Together, they really made a great team, and I thought there was a perfect combination of sweet and steam! I loved all of the side characters in this story and I’m already super excited to see where this series is going to go next! While I’m not as familiar with the universe as a whole, I never felt lost or confused as to what was happening and this book has only made me want to read more! I loved this book and highly recommend this book and anything from this author!
