Noah wasn’t supposed to look twice at a girl like me, but he did.
Now that I’m on his radar, my life will never be the same.

I have not read a book by Carmel Rhodes that I do not love. She is a fierce and talented writer. She pusher her boundaries and ours when she wrote Truly, and I am so honored to have read and reviewed this novel. Truly is one of those novels that you didn’t even know you had to read until you have finished it and you are in the biggest book hangover of your life. After I finished Truly, I instantly wanted more of Tru and Noah.
Truly and Noah have just graduated high school. Truly was just dumped in the most embarrassing way by her boyfriend of two years, Devin. With a road trip of a lifetime planned for 3 weeks with her best friend, Tru sucks up her pain and sorrow and sets out for the adventure to honor her mom. She does expect that her plans will be derailed, and she really doesn’t expect it to change her forever in the best way possible. Find out what is in store for Truly and Noah is this wild, dark romance available NOW!!
Truly is a dark coming of age romance that explores themes of dub-con and non-con and has a happily ever after ending. Please proceed with caution. With that being said, if you feel comfortable enough, read this book!! You will not regret it!!! When you do, message me on IG at Confessions_RomanceReader and gush to me about how amazing this book is because I must hear all the feedback!!
So this is the new book by Carmel Rhodes and….WOW….just WOW!!!
This is a totally different style to her previous books but omg its brilliant! Once i started reading i was hooked and just couldn’t put it down, read it in 24 hours.
The two main characters are Truly and Noah and they just couldn’t be anymore different. But it works, they see things in each other that nobody else sees. Their relationship is intense and hot!
Like i said this book had me hooked from the beginning and till the very end and its definitely a book i would recommend.
This is truly a dark romance… Tru and Noah have a dark romance that takes this to a new level their love is something no one else would understand but they just cant seem to resist each other…
Truly has got to be my favourite book so far, it’s a page-turner and I fell in love with characters deep, deep, even if I did want to kick ass a few times.
Carmel you absolutely killed stepping out of her comfort zone and going dark!
Grief brings Truly one Tedesco brother, Devin, heartbreak leads her down a dark path with the other Tedesco brother, Noah.
She loves to hate him, he loves to torment her. He is hot as sin, but can be totally psycho with his caveman tendencies.
Noah is like Jekyll & Hyde in the sex department and you never know who’s coming out to play, but either way he knows how to bring his O-game. Truly should run for the hills and not look back.
But when truths come to the surface, who will Truly believe?
Which Tedesco brother will win her heart forever. Devin or Noah?
Quotes
“The devil never sends damnation in its true form, otherwise, Noah would have red skin and horns.”
“He is a dark prince, waiting for his princess.”
I don’t usually read books that have non-con or dub-con but whenever Carmel Rhodes writes something I will read it no matter what it is. Let me say, this book has me wanting to find another book with these themes because I could not put it down.
Truly is definitely a coming of age book and I loved following Truly’s journey of finding herself and her place in the world.
OMG, Noah Tedesco, I thought I was going to hate him after their first interaction but my oh my, this boy won me over. I’m hit or miss with the alphaholes in books but Carmel nailed it for me with this book, Noah was perfect and the exact type that I love.
There were so many scenes that I loved in this book but one thing that melted my heart was Truly with her family, I felt like I was there in the room and it reminded me of moments with my own family.
I want to say so much more but I don’t want to spoil anything, you just need to experience this amazing book. I have read some great books this year but Truly has taken the top spot.
Wow! That pretty much sums it up for me. I, like everyone else am happy Carmel stepped out of her comfort zone and decided to write this. I’ve waited for this arc for what seemed like MONTHS. Thank you Carmel for stepping out of your comfort zone and write this. You made this bully loving reader extremely happy.
Truly is a coming of age bully romance the is full of heartbreak, firsts and forgiveness. Tru just graduated high school and is excited to start her road trip with her bestie, she wasn’t expecting to have her heart broken on the same day. Truly’s journey is emotional, raw and my heart broke for her. This story for me was eye opening, different and had me intrigued from the very beginning. This is an amazing story about growing up, experiencing heartbreak, to forgive and let go of the past and I loved reading Tru’s story come full circle.
Truly was an intense, sexy, angsty and boundary-pushing coming of age story that kept my emotions bouncing all over the place.
Noah Tedesco was such an intriguing enigma. Possessive, dark, broody and unpredictable yet also gentle and sweet Noah kept me teetering between swooning over him and wanting to smack him. Truly was loyal, genuine, kind and wore her heart on her sleeve. Though complete opposites when they were near each other neither held back as the sparks raged into an explosion. I loved that their story pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me fall hard for these two amazingly imperfect souls.
Admittedly, Noah and Truly’s story wasn’t a fairytale instead it was dark, dirty, raw and messy but it was also a truly unforgettable journey to their own once upon a time. If you love emotionally complex stories that are honest, raw and will having you rooting for characters in spite of all the obstacles Truly may be just the book you’re looking for.
I like this story, it was a little different than what I’m used to!
Truly phenomenal! 5 stars
First off, I loved Truly! She was smart, funny, and her past made my heart hurt. I was intrigued with Noah at the beginning, and I couldn’t wait to peel back his layers. To say Truly and Noah have a complicated and unconventional start to their relationship is an understatement. You must read the warning, and if it makes you hesitate to read this then you probably shouldn’t. But these are my favorite kinds of dark reads, because I can’t wait to see how the author makes the love story unfold. On the outside, Noah was charming and charismatic but on the inside there was darkness. Once the layers started to get peeled back and we find out his past, my heart hurt for him too. He made Truly the center of his universe and was possessive of her, and it was hot as can be! Not only was Truly smart and funny, but through her journey in this book she grew and learned more about herself which impressed me. But can their complicated start and revelations throughout the book lead their love to a happily ever after? Read this book where the world and characters enveloped me, their love story gripped me and find out! This story was truly phenomenal! This was my first read by this author, but it will not be last!
