My mother is Death. She cursed me with life. Now I’m in Godblood Prison.Apparently when you’re the daughter of Death, saving people is against the rules. Rules Ares, the God of War and sovereign ruler of the Celestial Realm, strictly enforces. For the crime of saving a mortal, I’ve been captured. Chained. Imprisoned. And I can’t say that I mind.No more godblood powers racing through my veins? Check. godblood powers racing through my veins? Check.
No more hunger for death nipping at my heels? Check.
And while the guards who watch over this place may think they have the demigods within contained, the truth is, we make our own rules.
We find our own fun.
Sexy Vesuvius, son of the God of Fire. Stone cold Jasper, son of the Trickster God. Even mortal Damien, the god hunter who took me in… they all have things I crave from them.
There are others, too. Demigods who rule this place. Who seek to destroy. To free themselves. Or, failing that, to simply kill each other.
The politics of Godblood Prison just might undo me before I get up the courage to escape…
But can I really turn my back on the people here, and the misery I’ve seen?
I’m the daughter of Death. I’ll do what I must to survive.
Godblood Prison is a high heat, paranormal prison series full of steam, violence, and demigods who do what they please. Coming soon—and rapid releasing!

Demigod Captive by Lucy Auburn is such an amazing story that I have had the privilege to read. This is book number one in this amazing start to a brand new series that I could not put down and I can not wait to read the next book in this series to see what happens. This is not the first book of Lucy Auburn that I owned, and it won’t be my last. Especially the way this story is written… I cannot wait for the next book to be released.

A unique and intriguing Demigod world
—>>> As a half-mortal with a mother who is Death (yes, Death), Mora was never one for playing by the rules. No one gets to cheat death. Not even her. Raised unconventionally amongst mortals by her mother’s side for many centuries, Mora makes a split-second decision to save one of her favorite humans and finds herself captured by Are’s god hunters (mortals blessed with celestial powers) and thrown into Godblood Prison. There, the usual cliques of demigods rule the cages, and everyone circles the newbie prisoner, hoping for an alliance, but all Mora can think of is gaining enough power to break out, a supposedly impossible task. However, Mora feels an undercurrent of something she cannot quite put her finger on, and time is running out for her to escape before the return of Ares, the God of War as well as prison warden, something she definitely hopes to avoid at all costs. I found this a unique and intriguing Demigod world, a series I look forward to continuing!
I can say just one thing this book is insane but in a good way literally what did I just read its a new twist on the fickle Gods and there children and its centered in a prison.
What happens when a Demigod steps out of line a half God where would you put them well a prison run be Ares controlled by his God hunters a place of complete misery and pain what do Demigods due when ther powers are contained and they can’t use them they fight to the death and take sides and Ares he gets of on it gethers more power from it and Ares greatest enemy is about to find out just how awful it is but she’s got a secret too because when your the daughter of death you have a whole new bag of tricks she may play with the boys but Mortem is know ones joiner know ones patsy shes looking out for number one because you just can’t keep a bad girl down.
Mora (Mortem) saw century’s of death feed from it at her mothers side loved and lost and only gets by now surviving on scraps of souls and shes starving herself but her mother a major Grimriperess dose something that forces Mora to make a decision save a life or take a life that one little thing brings her to God blood prison to close to Ares and full circle to a man she thought dead Ares first son Alek but how due you trust when you saw them take there last breath. Then theres the Demigod of fire Vesuvius and man is he full of fire but his rival in the prison Jasper wants her too but hes a trickster God who likes to play games and one of Mora’s jailers Damien has secrets but she still wants him everone is keeping secrets what will happen when Ares shows up nothing good. Cant wait for book two.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review. And I rated this book a 4 only because of some minor misspelling issues but the book is definitely 5 without this.
Mora is just trying to live her life while trying to keep her demigod powers at bay. As the Daughter of the Goddess of Death it is a tricky thing to do, especially when Dear Mother Death was condemning her efforts to steer clear from Demigod Life. That of course leads Mora to pay a high price because she interfered and broke the rules. The hunters are sent after her; they catch her and take her to prison. As expected Prison is a bundle of fun, guards beat who they want, there are arena fights and Mora doesn’t want anything to do with any of it. When I’m sure she thinks nothing can shock her … a face from her past shocks Mora to her core.
Will Mora be able to stay off the radar or will she suffer in prison? It was a fast, steamy read with a interesting cast of characters though a couple are a little annoying. Just creates character depth!

I fell in love with Lucy from her Phoenix academy books! And she just keeps getting better!! I devoured this and I’m sooo looking forward to the next book as it’s well written and I love the characters and all their quirks!
Mora is living her live trying to keep her demigod powers at bay. There is alot of pain in her past, she rather just drink herself oblivious. One her way to get something to eat, she runs into her mom. She tried to get on over on her mother, she thinks she does. Until she is at the food stand talking to the owner, the worst thing happens. He is struck by a car, where he dies. She feels her mother’s magic there. She takes his life force but gives it back. That is against the rules. The hunters are sent after her. They catch her and take her to prison.
Things are not good at the prison. The guards beat who they want. There is teams for arena fights. Mora doesn’t want anything to do with any of it. But she is drawn to two of them. But they are off limits since they want her on her team. A face from her past shocks Mora to her core.
Will Mora be able to keep her head down and off the radar of others, or will she suffer in prison
This is an interesting read, there are a lot of steamy parts. Some of the characters can be a little annoying.

A whole new angle on God and Demigods that I’ve never seen before. This books narrator is solely Mora, who is begrudgingly named Mortem, and has a unique take on the world(s) she straddles being a Godblood aka demigod. She is unique for one of her kind in many ways and has a special view on the way their world works as well as a very down to earth view overall. Throughout the book we see her genuine struggle with many things along with the various hot guys who want her..on their terms..which she ain’t having. I can’t wait to get more history and depth to the main guys who’ve seen important to the storyline since the book had a a lot of plot, tension, and history to setup already. Thank the Gods it’s a rapid release series.

*Spoiler Alert*
Daughter of Death Mora (Mortem) (FMC) helps out a friend & it all blows up in her face by getting her locked up in Godblood Prison. Yes theres a prison for Gods sons and daughters who knew? As you can expect they dont all get along especially when Ares (yes the God of War) is running the place. So lots of fighting. Everyone seems to want Mora including fellow inmates Vesuvius, Jasper & God hunter Damien. Which leads to quite a few heated and steamy moments. So Hot! A really good read though and you cant help but like Mora. Shes snarky and witty. Oh and that ending?? Blimey! Dying for the next book now
The story line was great, the character work was fantastic and the book had a smooth flow to it. This was a great way to start a series and kept me entertained from beginning to end. This is the first book by this author that I’ve read, but it won’t be the last.

Well, she first got me with This book contains explicit sex as well as blood and gore and it ends with a cliffhanger. This might be one of my favorite book of hers so far. Amazing plot that kept me riveted till the end and that cliffhanger, it was brilliant! I need more!

After years between the world of the gods and human’s world, Mora had changed her ways. Keeping her hunger in check and experiencing new emotions had given her a new vision of herself. Something that Dear Mother Death was condemning and that would lead Mora to pay a high price because “no good deed goes unpunished”. Imprisoned, beaten, and trying to regain her strength Mora was gathering intel and also, making some Demigods friends in the way because the girl had her needs and there weren’t many choices in the prison. I loved her character, strong, determined, after what she needed and willing to accept the consequences of her actions, if the result was what she was expecting, of course. Smart and shrewd girl! Intriguing this story with so many interesting characters, so much going on and the intense plot development. The male protagonists, that had increased by one, had my attention. I know it’s a reverse harem story but as Demigods each one had gifts and I’m eager to know what’s their role in the story. Liked this first book with lot of action, suspense, strong emotions, violence and heated passion that left me waiting for the next.
