Pebble Cove residents were wary of the new commune at The Pines even before someone ended up dead.Rosemary is excited to cater her first even at the newly opened commune’s full moon festival. When a young woman is found murdered in her yurt, it’s clear these rich wannabe hippies aren’t as peaceful as they pretend. As the investigation unfolds, Rosemary realizes these commune members have more … commune members have more secrets than they do trust funds. She can’t help but feel Chief Clemenson is, again, one step behind.
In addition to working the case, being at The Pines provides the perfect opportunity to investigate Asher’s death. Solving any mystery is difficult; solving one over a century old seems almost impossible. But just as Rosemary starts to make headway in both cases, a violent storm rolls in from the sea. Will the wind and rain wash away any hope of finding the murderer?
Readers, this is the third book in a new cozy mystery series by Eryn Scott. These books are all clean with no gore and no swearing. Starting from the beginning with this series will provide the best reading experience. The ghosts are the only paranormal aspect in the series. And there are definitely cats because … well, there has to be. 🙂

Love how the ghosts and townsfolk all help to find clues. Charming setting and wonderful mysteries. I love how they find out about past murders along with current ones. Love the friendships. I’m definitely hooked on this series.
Another great mystery. I love how Eryn winds her mysteries around town, and through the locals plus the ghosts! Makes them complex and fascinating. Her ability to make the ghosts have character arcs, has me forgetting they are ghosts sometimes, which I think is perfection. They aren’t just a “oooh the MC can talk to ghosts” throw away part of the plot, but actual people with pasts that need to be reconciled.
Book three brings you more ghosts, more back story, and more closure for all. I absolutely loved it!
While the story is still thick with metaphors, it is down from the previous book, or I am getting used to the flowery descriptions of mundane tasks. I love the cast, and the fact that romance isn’t in the series. Rosemary is getting to know the town, and her self better. It’s great to watch her grow into an independent person. I still have my fingers crossed that as she finds her self esteem, she will start to make more ‘real life’ friends, instead of only associating with ghosts. As sad as it will be I am hoping a certain someone will get the closure they deserve and crossover to help Rosemary grow through that loss and lean more on Jolene or another townsperson.
I love that she is becoming a true local in Pebble Cove. No spoilers here. But with the events of this book, I look forward to how it will shape characters and the town in the next book!
These books do spoil the mysteries of the previous in series, so it’s important to read them in order. She does sprinkle in all you need to know about the town and characters if you choose to start in the middle of the series though.
A Score to Kettle (A Pebble Cove Teahouse Mystery Book 3)
I have been following this mystery series by Eryn Scott since book 1. After reading each book, I look forward to more of Rosie and Asher’s story interwoven with each new mystery. As I have come to expect of this author, the book is well-written and edited which only enhances the imaginative and entertaining story.
Rosemary’s excitement at the opportunity to cater for a local commune soon turns to horror when someone is murdered. Not only will she be trying to solve this latest murder, she must continue to search for Asher’s. Eryn Scott has created entertaining characters and I will be following this series to get my own answers.

A Score to Kettle is the third book in the A Pebble Cove Teahouse Mystery series and once again, it was very enjoyable to read! In this book, Rosemary goes to a full moon festival at the new commune. But suddenly a body is found. Together with the ghost Asher, she has to solve the mystery. On top of that, they investigate the death of Asher himself. I like how we learned more about Asher in this book. The characters were very likable and the storyline was very interesting. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes to read mysteries.

This was another fun read from Eryn dealing with ghosts, cats and murder. I love the interaction between Rosemary & Asher, a love story with a ghost? This book I read in one night, into the wee hours of the morning because I couldn’t put it down. Looking forward to the next one in the series, I’m loving these stories! I was gifted a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
A Score To Kettle by Eryn Scott is the third in the Pebble Cove Teahouse Mystery series. Rosemary and her “spirit” friend Asher become involved in another murder investigation. Rosemary and her partner Jolene agree to cater an event at a community where residents live mainly in yurts and eat a vegan diet. They set up their teas and desserts for the party on a pleasant evening. Just when it’s time to serve, there is a scream and a young woman is found murdered. At first, Rosemary is afraid one of her tea kettles was used as a murder weapon, but that’s not the case.
Rosemary and Asher get involved after wondering that perhaps the head of the community is the killer. His great grandfather may have been the person who murdered Asher during the time of WWI. They have the help of ghost, SJ, who is still around, too. He is the son of Sully, Asher’s possible killer.
Author Eryn Scott works her magic again with this story that combines ghosts from the past who can help in the present. The reader continues to learn about Asher as Rosemary does more research.
It’s very important that you read this series starting with the first book. The characters and background build through each novel, even though each one has a new murder.
If you are a fan of cozy mysteries, you will want to read The Pebble Cove Teahouse mysteries.

Another great cozy mystery from Eryn Scott!
It was nice to see Rosemary feeling more settled and part of Pebble Cove. Each book in the series has built upon each other in establishing her place at the tea shop and making friends.
The mystery had just enough twists and turns to keep it interesting without becoming overly complicated. The murder taking place at the Pines also allowed for some progress in discovering what happened to Asher all those years ago. As much as I love getting the clues a little at a time, I cannot wait to find out the whole story.
I am already anxiously awaiting the next book!
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
Book number three of the Pebble Cove Teahouse series and it is the best one yet. Love how Rosemary and Asher depend on each other and the friendship they share. The teahouse is a warm and inviting place where you can visit with friends and enjoy specialty teas. Rosemary is finally getting the hang of running the teahouse and murder rears its ugly head again. The Pines is again the source of trouble and Rosemary is right in the heart of the investigation; much to the sheriff’s grief. This series has it all, ghosts, a wonderful town of people and the world building is great. You can almost smell the sea air as you read the story. You will enjoy this series. I highly recommend to all mystery lovers.
Here’s the deal. I love Eryn Scott’s work. But this one just wasn’t as good. I’m definitely going to keep going in the series but this one wasn’t my fave. It’s cozy just like the rest of her books which is exactly what I want. And I still want to see what’s going to happen with our favorite teashop medium and her sweet ghost.
4.5 Star review A Score To Kettle (Pebble Cove Tea house Mystery #3) by Eryn Scott
AUDIO REVIEW:
It was fun being back in Pebble Cove. This is the third book in the latest series from Eryn Scott and I could not wait to dive in to it. I love stories about small towns, add in mystery and a ghost and I knew I was in for an entertaining read with A Score To Kettle.
Rosemary Woodmere is once again embroiled in solving another murder. When she gets a catering job for what is essentially a commune, The Pines she is excited. However that changes when a young woman is murdered.
As she investigates, much to the annoyance of the Sheriff, she also continues to investigate the circumstances of her ghost Asher’s death. The more she learns, the more danger she is in.
There were numerous twists and turns within the story and I found this an entertaining cozy mystery. The narrator Jennifer Jill Araya did a great job bringing this story to life and made this an entertaining listen; her voice is pleasant and easy to listen to.
