BDSM is about freedom! It’s about exploration. It’s about living those fantasies that we’ve been told were wrong. Ashley, a shy librarian, is taking part in a LARP D&D session with a number of other people. Playing the fearless Ashara Lightbringer, she’s trying to take valuable information to the rebels, only to be chased by a barbarian and a mage. It’s a way for Ashley to live out fantasies … Ashley to live out fantasies that would never happen in real life, and she feels more confident when playing a different character. So, when Ashara is captured and left alone in a barn with a powerful barbarian, Ashley feels the flutter of forbidden desire and finds the freedom to explore it.

This was too short and too quick. I loved the idea of live action role play of D&D. Ashley is a timid librarian, but as her character Ashara, she gives herself permission to be more assertive. Tom plays Veran the barbarian and he has captured Ashara and plans to torture her for information. I really wanted to read about this couple further. I felt like they could’ve done more role playing. I wanted to read the real adventure…how they became a real couple outside the game.
D&D or playing a live action version may not be my style, I love where this went! Tom / Veran & Ashley / Ashara lit up my Kindle and left me wanting more.
Tom posed a question, “So, where do we go from here?” I really want to know and experience the answer.
Our heroine is usually shy, but when playing D&D, she can take on a different persona. And perhaps explore new things.
This is a short erotic read with a bit of a gamer nerd theme. The story is well written and easy to read with some nicely developed characters that round out the story. The story is short, simple and straightforward, and that makes for a fun evening read. Being a gamer myself, I found this story to be quite entertaining as I saw some familiar faces in the characters (in a manner of speaking).
Highly recommended.

“Ashley, a shy librarian, is taking part in a LARP D&D session with a number of other people.” Really enjoyed this one. Nothing wrong with D&D. Another great one from Alexandra Noir.

Ashley plays dungeons and dragons. Her group has started playing a live version in the park. The group is given a scene and they enact it. Tonight Ashley has information the other side needs so she has to run and not get caught. She does get caught, one of the other members is injured and she is left with Tom to keep playing out the game. Read to see how the game ends.

This book is fantastic! Ashley is a shy, quiet girl who enjoys the freedom of role playing games. When the leader of her group introduces the possibility of playing for real, it takes her a bit to agree but in the end she does. Once the game has begun, she finds herself exhilirated by the freedom of the game and her character is running for her life, being chased by two men who seek to gain the information she possesses. They catch her and before they can get the information, another player arrives for the warden of the game, telling him that he is needed elsewhere. Christopher and Tom are with Ashley and Christopher agrees to go along with the warden, leaving Tom and Ashley, and their characters, alone. The game turns naughty when their interrogations turns steamy and in the end, neither is sure where they go from here.

Good Read…Fast and Hot!
This is my first book by Alexandra Noir and I can tell you it is short, really sweet and VERY HOT!! It is about a game of Dungeons and Dragons that is acted out by people from different D&D groups who meet to enact various scenarios among themselves. There are monitors who inform the participants of various rules that permit them to go to extremes as long as they want to do so. While playing this game, first timer Ashley Lawson who works in a library, portrays a character who is given information she must protect at all costs until she is safe with rebels. She is pursued and captured by Tom and Christopher who attempt to secure the information she holds. During their scene, the monitor and Christopher are called away to attend to an emergency, leaving Ashley and Tom to continue his interrogation of her. If I say any more I will give away the rest of the story, so I will stop here and note that an air conditioner blasting out arctic temperatures was necessary to finish reading this book!! I am now going to look for other books by Alexandra Noir and sit on a block of ice while I read them!
