It’s the end of my world as I know it. But with Redak…I feel fine.In fact, I feel more than fine. This isn’t how it’s supposed to be.He’s the alien. His people invaded and conquered my planet. They caused my world to burn in fire.I should hate him. But instead I love him.I’m not stupid. I know he’s a killer.I know that I also most likely fear him. After all, this alien warrior tracked me.He followed … fear him.
After all, this alien warrior tracked me.
He followed me. Hunted me.
He made me into prey.
But invaders can also be liberators.
Conquerors can be saviors.
Villains can find themselves cast as heroes.
Is this what my Kraaj warrior is?
A hero in villain’s clothing?
Appearing to be a brutal and bloodthirsty warrior.
But actually the only person who will keep me safe?
It’s sick and twisted. But it’s true.
Sometimes the path to the greatest good is windy.
As well as dark and filled with evil.
Alien Soldier’s Prisoner explores a grittier side of the Athenaverse. It sits in the Conquered Mates series and is a dark romance set on a human planet that has fallen to a hostile alien race. It can be read as a standalone, but it still shares the same universe that you’ve found in other books. This book features a dark romance of an alpha male alien warrior, and a human woman. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and HEA guaranteed.

I just do not understand anyone that gives this entire series less than five stars! Each one features a couple that are not the same species, and it is really hard to have a favorite couple. Redak and Annie are going to be one of my favorites though. Annie has so much spunk, she was fierce just like little orphan Annie. You can’t help but like her and hope for the best. And Redak was so much more than the alien that help to over-run her planet. I am trying to to give any spoilers but the plot thickens and enemies are everywhere. Annie and Redak learn that the hard way and I look forward to the next book in the Athenaverse to see where they are going with this plot.. I think this might be the worst thing any of the races have had to face.

Annie lives on a planet destroyed by war. She survives by scavenging spare parts and selling them to local merchants. Redak is a legendary intelligence officer for the Kraaj who captures Annie while he’s investigating unusual droid activity. Redak is drawn to her and Annie learns to trust the huge alien. Together they work to solve the mystery and save the planet. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
The Kraaj have taken over the planet and the humans do all they can to survive. One way for Annie Jones does that is to scavenge parts from droid ruble to sell. Redak is an intelligence soldier who is tracking her thinking she is part of the resistance of humans. What started out as a capture and sell of this human women, turned out to be an adventure and hot situations. A great book in this series.
Even bad guys can be good
Athena continues to expand the athenaverse with species that are found in her realm. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Where does she get all her ideas? This story has it all, self-aware robots, rebels, hot sex, a heroine that is smarter than the hero in certain subjects and of course a bad guy that turns good! If you like Athena’s other books you will love this one. I recommend this book.
Dark romance between alien Alpha male and human engineer female. Annie was an engineer before she became a scavenger on her ravaged planet. I like her intellect and survivor spirit. Redak is an intelligence officer who arrests Annie for illegal activity. But he finds it hard to turn his headstrong captive in. I like that he values her fearlessness and know-how. Annie goes from being Redak’s prisoner to partner as they try to solve a mystery while staying alive. I like the great worldbuilding details, alternating POV, non-stop action, simmering chemistry and plot twist for this series. Some issues with editing and continuity but still an entertaining story!

I’m really enjoying this whole series and I cannot wait to read more from this author Athena Storm. Annie Jones is just trying to survive and make a living scavenging electoral parts from the fallen droids after they attacked Luvon and the Kraaj aliens defeated them or so they thought because strange things are happening at night in these areas. Redal is an intelligence officer and has been arresting people for taking and selling droid parts to mercenaries and now it looks like his has caught another taking parts but this one is a human female and a very gorgeous one at that but orders are orders and he must take her in. But that doesn’t go to plan because something about her draws him in and he cannot sell her so while leave the bar they are attracted in town by a huge droid and they must run for there lives so he lets he go but she comes back to save his life. What happens next to our unlikely pair once they are forced to work together, can they save the day and just walk away after or with the chemistry boiling between them be the start of something new.

I enjoyed reading this story. It picks up shortly after the droids, the IHC planted, have been decommissioned and disposed of. Little do they know, that isn’t the last they will see of the scraps of metal.

Alien Soldier’s Prisoner is a dark romance all about Redak, an alpha male alien warrior, and Annie, a human woman that are thrown together in a chemistry that burns bright and the action packed adventure that takes them to a HEA. It’s a well written and thrilling addition to the Athenaverse world. I highly recommend this book and authors.

Annie is trying to survive by scavenging parts from the recently destroyed droids. Intelligence officer, Redak has been tracking the female scavenger for three days. Hoping she will lead him to the anti Kraaj rebels using the parts to build weapons. After trapping Annie, Redak is determined to sell her at the auction house. There is something different about this human and Redak changes his mind and keeps her. In the meantime something strange is going on with the droids. Annie and Redak join forces to track down this mystery. Loved this storyline.

Alien soldiers prisoner by Athena Storm.
It’s the end of my world as I know it. But with Redak…I feel fine.
A brilliant read. I loved the story and some of the characters. I loved how Annie was with Redak. Her attitude towards him. I liked the cover too. 5*.
Scavenger Annie Jones, impossible to submit and annoying human, according to Redak, hated the Kraaj and what they represent. But, meeting one that showed some decency and compassion, warranted a second opinion. When the most dangerous threat that Luvon has ever faced was upon them, suddenly, she was part of a team. Of course, she was the brain and Redak, the brawn. Adventure, adventure and more adventure! An interesting, different and intriguing threat that had me turning pages wanting to know what was behind the mysterious threat. Chuckled a lot with Annie and Redak’s bickering. The woman was a nut hard to crack! Strong, passionate and a brain. Redak had not a chance to outsmart her! Lot of action, suspense, some violence, hair-pulling romance and passion.
A TWIST OF FUTURE THINGS TO COME

Redak is a Kraaj intelligence officer who meets Annie, a former human technologist and now a scavenger. He arrests her and instead of selling her to a slaver decides to keep her. They are thrown into a battle against Artificial Intelligence and fight for their lives and the lives of everyone on their planet. This story ends with a HEA and a cliffhanger – so the stories go on.

In the year 2338 redak a kraaj intelligence officer on luvon charged with keeping the anti kraag faction muzzled . When he sees Annie Jones scavenger who he thinks is a rebel he takes her under arrest. What a Awesome story
This was an amazingly well-written story by one of my favorite authors, Athena Storm. This book 7 in the Conquered Mates Series was intriguing as it had some very well-thought out scenes and story plots. These characters have very strong wills and personalities and their interactions are believable. This wonderful story has the following: intrigue, twists & turns, adventure, action, variety of races, humans, danger, love, steam and a HEA. It’s a fast-paced and continuation from the previous book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. I am always on the lookout for books by this author.

Annie hates the IHC and the Kraaj. They destroyed her home, family and workplace when they attacked each other on Luvon. She has spent her time ever since homeless and scavenging the droid graveyards for parts that she can sell for food. She know’s this is illegal, but it’s the only thing she is able to do to survive.
Redak is an intelligence officer with the Kraaj. He has been tracking Annie for 3 days before he finally captures and arrests her. He carries her back to the city, because she refuses to walk, and on the way they are attacked by a droid. Redak manages to “kill” it and Annie determines it was acting on it’s own – no one was controlling it. They report this to headquarters and Redak and Annie are sent to investigate. Her crime will be forgiven is she helps him. As they head back to the droid graveyard where he found Annie, their shuttle is shot down by more droids. They survive the crash and head for the graveyard on foot. When they get there, it has been totally cleaned up! This doesn’t seem possible. So they head for an even bigger graveyard that Annie has heard about but never has seen. They find a Huge droid cleaning up the scrap for that field. When it attacks Redak, Annie distracts it while he puts a tracker on it. They they find a cave to sleep and recover in. They follow the droid to a system of underground caverns. Now what?? This was another great Athenaverse book! I don’t know how they keep coming up with them, but don’t miss this one!!
I enjoyed reading this book , it has a good storyline, and is filled with action, adventure, and intrigue. The interaction and chemistry between the characters of Annie and Redak is wonderful. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Never disappoints. Here’s a new twist to the Kraaj/human saga on Luvon. The fallout of the failed IHC invasion of Luvon leaves thousands of abandoned droids and Annie Jones is caught scavenging parts just to survive. Redak captures her, but while taking her in, they come across some weird things going on in the droid debris fields. Redak doesn’t think much of his comrades that have mated with human women especially after meeting Annie, she’s annoying and talks incessantly, but he finds that the longer that they’re together he finds she’s courageous, feisty and he can’t stop thinking about her. Annie is finding that Redak isn’t what she thought, that Kraaj were callous brutes, that he’s really brave, thoughtful and smart, and together they’re fighting the new threat to Luvon and it’s inhabitants and falling in love. Loved it. Action packed, romantic.
