You need to be tough to survive living in the desert. It’s ruled by outlaws, gangs, cartels, and dirty kings. Now the new Prez of the New Mexico Chapter of the RB MC has set his sights on me. But he’s not the only dark ruler who wants a queen.
I’m caught between rivals. Fought over like a prize. But I’m no man’s possession. I’m as wild as the desert itself, full of rough edges and hair that blows … edges and hair that blows like a tumbleweed. No man has tamed my rebellious heart yet.
Tarak Cassadore is a black hole sucking me into his universe of mayhem. His Apache blood is strong and hot. His lineage shows in every hard plane of his face… in every corded muscle on his body. But If he thinks I have stars in my eyes like every other sweetbutt, he can think again.
I’m not a sucker for the new Desert King. Even if the heat in his eyes brands me with some sort of unspoken promise.
But his want puts an even bigger target on my back. The leader of the Black Scorpion MC decides to make his move against Tarak by taking me prisoner. Bound to both MC’s… which one will I chose?
They all want to break me. Bend me to their will. But when I’m done, every desert king will bend the knee to me, their desert queen.

Whew! What a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I for sure thought I was team Edge.. them I was team Tarak.. then back to Edge… then back to Tarak. Pretty quick read.. good standalone, I have not read the others in the series (multiple authors) but overall good read.
This story is phenomenal!! Jax Hart really blew me away with this awesome ride. Definitely a must read , you will absolutely love Tarak and Amber!!
Amber had been given a second chance, having survived covid19 she wanted to li e her life even if it meant moving across the country. First her car blew out then she was saved if you can call it that by Edge the prez of the bloody scorpions, insult to injury they took her to a strip joint where another MC the Royal Bastards visit this prez is Tarak, with bad blood between them it seems Amber is going to escalate the war that is raging between them. One girl two guys, this goes deeper then a little fun time the pot gets stirred, and the heat turned up, Jax Hart knows how to tell a twisted tale. I voluntarily reviewed this book
What a great way to kick-off this exciting new series! This novella length read will quickly capture your interest and keep you fully engaged as the intense storyline unfolds. I thought that Amber, Tarak and Edge were complex and compelling characters. Your emotions and loyalties will be tested as you learn more about these characters, relationships develop and feelings come into play. Can’t wait for book two! This is my frank, freely posted review.
After a life changing couple of years, Amber is fleeing Florida in search of a little adventure and a new life. She would most definitely be getting both.
Amber runs into a little trouble and is rescued by a group of harda$$ bikers, aka the Black Scorpions. Their leader Edge doesn’t know what to make of her, but he’s intrigued. Edge takes her to the club’s bar Triple X. I don’t know how safe she’ll be there, considering the wall to wall bikers, but when a rival club shows up, all bets are off.
Tarak, the Desert King, leader of the Royal Bastards is out for blood as he enters Triple X. He knew Edge would be there tonight, but he never expected Amber.
At first Edge and Tarak’s motives were unclear. Both men are protective and in demand. They have a history that is deep and full of hatred and jealousy.
Edge is more than what’s written on his cut; a little less barbaric and a little more human than the first impression he offers. But don’t be fooled.
Tarak is a man looking to find his future. He helps his community while keeping them safe. His Native American heritage helps keep his life balanced, but he’s been searching a long time for someone or something to calm his beast. Don’t underestimate his reach.
Amber just wants to live life to the fullest. She’s been given a second chance and she’s not about to waste it. Edge and Tarak were never a thought when she left Florida, but now a real fantasy or maybe a nightmare come to life. One she needs to snap out of or wake up from, asap.
MUST READ ! ! I LOVED THIS BOOK ! ! I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN ! GREAT STORY, AWESOME CHARACTERS THAT ALL NEED BOOKS ! COMPLETELY ADDICTIVE !
I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK ! ! !
I really enjoyed this book, but I felt it was too short. I liked the characters especially Amber, who survived Covid-19 and is ready to change her life. At times she felt invisible, but there was a feistiness about her. The book had an interesting storyline that kept me engaged. As I already mentioned, I wish the book was a little longer. I felt the ending was a little bit rushed. Overall, Desert King was a very good book.
Dessert King is absolutely an intense and thought provoking book. It features a love triangle and a pandemic with COVID-19. Amber was a COVID-19 survivor who wanted to live now that she feels she is getting a second chance with a new life. She moved away from her family and her home town to find herself and instead landed in the middle of two very intense men who are the opposite in both looks and character. I won’t ruin the story for you so you have to read it to find out what was Ambers decide on between two rival MC club presidents..This book really makes you think hard as it is a future that could have happened or who knows might still happen as it talks about how Amber was a COVID-19 survivor. It is a little scary to think that the world in Desert King could have been our future. I absolutely could not put this book down. I really didn’t want the story to end. I sat here and avidly read the whole book in one day barely stopping to eat. My only complaint is that it ended too soon. I will warn you the end does have a cliff hanger at the end. Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

This is a realistic story by Jax Hart involving the recent pandemic in which survivor Amber just wants to live life, when her car breaks down in the desert she finds herself in the middle of an MC war between Tarek and Edge.
Wonderfully written, with great characters, I wish it had been longer and that we heard more between Amber and Tarek, I can’t wait to read the next book, Desert Rose.
