My high school crush, my older brother’s best friend. Now Cass is back to crash my summer alone.ShawnWhen I was a kid, I had the biggest crush on Cass.He was broody, with these beautiful eyes. A troublemaker who was infinitely cooler than I would ever be.Ten years later, I definitely didn’t expect to see him standing at the front door of my family’s house in the Kentucky woods, tatted up and even … in the Kentucky woods, tatted up and even hotter.
I was supposed to have the summer to myself and my geeky astronomy project, but my brother hired his old friend to do a massive carpentry project on the house.
Just because Cass is straight doesn’t make it any easier to keep my eyes off him.
He was always the man I wanted. I just never dared believe a couple opposites like us could attract.
Falling for the Geek is a sweet and steamy M/M romance about an adorkable guy who gets a second chance with the bad boy he always dreamed of. It features stargazing, secret hookups, and discovery for both men on their way to an HEA. Enjoy!

Uuuuuugh. I did NOT want this book to end. It’s hands down my favorite best friend’s brother storyline to date. R. Cayden put together a winning combination of geek, hot drummer/carpenter, slightly forbidden, childhood crush turn adulthood crush, setting, and storyline. I flipping adored Shawn and Cass. A-DORED them. I’m a sucker for an awkward guy in glasses. It gets me every time.
I think everyone needs to read this book. There’s nothing not to like. If you find something not to like, then….you need more hugs in your life. I fell into my typical procrastination habit at around 75%. If it’s a really good book, like this one is, I don’t want it to end. I then alternate reading and doing other things to prolong finishing it. Once I got to 87%, I knew I needed to find out how it ends. I wasn’t disappointed.
I was happy to find out this is book one in a series! I can’t wait to read more! I know book 2 is going to be awesome.

Loved the story. Cass and Shawn were so cute together learning and growing as a couple. They were so easily engrossed in each other. They just meshed and it showed with how long they have known each other with the easy camaraderie. Cass was so adorable with his affection and adjustments with being attracted to Shawn. Loved it.
Having a big brother can be a blessing or a curse. Especially when they have a tendency to be too over protective.
Shawn has always been pretty much of a loner…not that he chooses to be…but his desire to be an astronomer has always taken precedence over friendships. When his brother, Leo’s, best friend, Cass, comes to stay in the cabin with him, so Cass can remodel Shawn’s grandmother’s art studio, he finally gets to spend some quality time with the man Shawn’s had a crush on in high school. Cass is trying to put his life together and Shawn is attempting to write a book…so they both have lots to do.
But sometimes looking at the stars is the most enjoyable thing for both of them. And when Cass encourages Shawn, they both benefit and see a future path they might travel together.
A sweet romance set in the mountains of Kentucky.
So I thought this book was cute, characters were great being all awkward around each other then getting comfortable and then the inevitable HEA.
The story was good and moved well making me smile all they way through the book.
My issue was the really poor editing. There were grammatical errors, typos, and continuity issues such as wrong names or changes in time of day. In fact there were so many I decided against keeping a list for the author, which I would normally do as an arc reader.
A great read for the beach, I recommend it for your kindle if you can look past the errors xx

This was only my second MM romance to read, and it was fantastic. I loved the characters and felt emotions right along with them.
Oh I love the “brother’s best friend” trope and added to that, the geeky younger brother, it’s a match made in heaven! Really loved this sweet story, I hadn’t read anything by this author before but I’ll def be picking up the next in the series…is it ready yet?
Low angst, ftg, gfy story with some 2nd chance vibes. It’s just a sweet pretty uncomplicated story with likeable characters with a real feel to them. It takes a bit to get into it but it’ll leave you with a smile.

When Shawn’s older brother, Leo informs him that his best friend, Cass, will be staying at their grandma’s cottage for the summer, Leo’s reaction isn’t exactly um positive. Let’s just say that he’d had the hugest crush on Cass and leave it at that. Having to spend a whole summer in close proximity to him, yeah…he’s not sure he can handle that.
But as it turns out, Cass is just as sweet as he was before, and they end up getting to know each other in a really sweet way that actually turns into much more. Cass is very open to exploring his identity, and Shawn’s more than happy to help him explore. But what about when Cass has to leave? Will their feelings be enough to keep Cass to stay?
Oh God I adored Cass and Shawn. Talk about both sweethearts, with serious chemistry! This is a very low angst, sweet story and the way they go from friends to more just feels right and natural.
Shawn goes to the family cabin to write a book about astronomy. His brother has his best friend, Cass a musician, comes to do some renovations on the art studio on the property.
This is a very sweet read with no angst and a slow burn. I definitely recommend this book!
All Shawn wants to do after he arrives at his family’s house in Kentucky is to relax and write his book. Little does he know he’ll be spending the summer with the only man he’s been crushing on for a very long time. His brother’s best friend Cass. If you’re looking for a sweet read, this one should to it especially if you also love brother’s best friend and first-time experiences tropes. I also got a great slow-burn feel to this story too, but it wasn’t drawn out as some stories tend to be. It really enjoyed Shawn and Cass’s journey as they got to know each other. All their first times together. This is a very sweet read with no angst. If this is something you are looking for in a book, then I highly recommend giving this one a try. R. Cayden is a new author to me and I will definitely be keeping an eye on what this author brings us next.
Falling for the Geek by R Cayden is the first book in the His Best Friend’s Brother series. This is a isweet and sexy lovestory between an adorable geek and the bad boy drummer who he has pinned over for years…the “straight” best friend of his brother, AKA forbidden fruit, the untouchable… but oh how touchable he really is! Shawn and Cass are fantastic characters I love and their story was fun, sweet and brought the heat. I Loved it!
I love geeky boys who crush on their older brothers’ bad boy straight best friend and this one did not disappoint! Shawn and Cass were so freakin adorable and lovable. Shawn wanted to go to the family cabin to write a book about astronomy. Little did he know his brother has his best friend coming to do some renovations on the art studio on the property. Super cute, low angst and lots of steam, how can you go wrong?

Shawn’s long time crush on Cass was really sweet and cute. Cass being a straight male took being attracted to Shawn very well. He was a very go with the flow guy and being attracted to Shawn was an easy transition for him. Shawn’s love of astronomy flowed well into Cass’ love of drumming when they mixed the two for a sweet happily ever after.
