A Stormy Spell by Lucy May is such an amazing mystery story that I have read. This is book number two in this amazing mystery story that I have loved reading. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about cozy mysteries, small town and paranormal romances.

Loved it! This book had a few mysteries to solve and no one had to die for it to still be an awesome book! This was a tricky one, and while we all figured out who did it, the why was a real shocker! A definite lesson to be learned with this one! The addition of Sunshine, the pup, was a big plus too!

Another Wicked Good Visit to Charm Cove
I love reading paranormal cozy mysteries, and I will admit to having a particular fondness for stories where the magic goes awry. So I was immediately drawn into this book when Juliette’s electrical magic goes a little haywire right in the first scene. She is not the only one having such troubles. Even those with less tricky powers to control than electricity are having issues. Then strange storms that have no reason to take place this time of year start cropping up. This is certainly a mystery for those more experienced in the community to try to figure out. On top of this, Juliette has more mystery to contend with. It appears someone is stealing from her shop. Add a little romance for her as well, and you’ve got a great combination for a paranormal mystery read that doesn’t focus on murder. I find this author’s writing style to be smooth and exceptionally easy to read. Her books are a joy. I also liked that we got to see a little of the couple from the previous series, from which this one spins off. All in all, I found this to be a well-done paranormal cozy mystery.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
A STORMY SPELL is the second book in the This Good Witch Mystery series. I believe it will be best if the books are read in the order of release in the series.
This is a sweet and charming romance with a stormy background. I love how the whole community of witches and warlocks are coming together to figure out why the rogue storms are attacking their town. They’re sure it’s more than global warming at play!
I like that this is a mystery without a body. Instead we’re hunting for clues in an accounting theft coupled with odd weather and magical outbursts. Plus, there is a sweet pup named Sunshine upstaging it all.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

Fabulous story
Juliette is back and the weather in Charm Cove has gone from nice to wild storms. But that’s not the only problem in Charm Cove. Juliette has discovered that someone is stealing from the accounts at Beauty Bewitched and now the investigating begins. This is a fun, entertaining mystery filled with intrigue, small town magical drama, romance and a great ending.
I enjoyed this easy read with well developed and engaging characters and a storyline that kept my attention throughout the pages.

Like so many stories around Charm Cove, it is written from the point of view of one of the local witches. This time it is Juliette, as she plays a major role in the events. When Juliette took over the book keeping from the retiring accountant of her family, she did a general audit of the books and found some discrepancies concerning one provider. Trying to find out what happened and why, while the spring is acting crazy weather-wise and spells are occasionally going wrong….Could all of this be related or are there different reasons for all of this happening at the same time. Theories are abandon in Charm Cove…
A typical magical cozy mystery of Charm Cove, nothing too sinister, but concerning everyone in this small town. An enchanting story and quite entertaining.

Another intriguing mystery that follows on from the stories of Moria and Liam that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Juliette, Dominic and Sunshine look to be continuing the magic from the earlier stories.

The latest situations bubbling seem to be some malfeasance with smaller to medium family businesses from a supplier, some wacky windy storms, and blossoming romance
Throw in a farm to table bit of chaos, and an adorable baby- there’s always something brewing in Charm Cove, and a community spirit to help bring things back in line.
Looking forward to the next generations as they grow and change and things keep hopping- can’t wait for my next book visit!

I’m not real good with words so I’ll make it short but sweet. It was a fast fun easy to read book. I won a free arc copy in exchange for an honest review by booksprout.co
Juliette Good had a talent with spells involving electrical power, so her mom asked her to fix the light post in front of the house. As she cast the spell, however, it deflected into the ground, leaving a burned area and burning Juliette’s fingers! The bulb in the light post was way too bright, so she asked one of the twins to get her dad, Liam Good Sr., who could correct it with his dampening powers. He had a concerned look, like maybe he had seen something like this before, but didn’t confide in her. She later was with her sister-in-law, Moira, at Enchanted Spirits when two lights in the ceiling blew up, this time definitely not Juliette’s fault. Moira told her Zoe’s mother had a problem with a spell to give power to her plants – and that spell was much easier than the electrical one! Over the next twenty-four hours in Charm Cove, reports popped up all over the place about spells going out of control within the community of witches and warlocks, even minor spells. One involved a love potion where the purchaser knelt on the sidewalk and professed his undying love – to a crow!
Juliette pointed to a spreadsheet to show Aunt Opal a discrepancy in the Beauty Bewitched ledger. Someone was stealing. Their Alden suppliers had retired 3 years ago and their daughter took over. Aunt Opal asked Juliette to look at the past records and see when this discrepancy started. Juliette left for the coffee shop to meet with friends and Isobel mentioned the weather issues that had started with heat lightning the night before – when it wasn’t even hot yet. The friends walked outside and a nasty storm came up, dumping buckets of rain on them. This was not typical Spring weather! About the only thing going well lately was that Donovan Wick was dating Juliette and it might be moving in a positive direction! And a stray dog named Sunshine just might help him along the way. But all the other strangeness will be keeping Juliette busy! What’s going on now?
Once again, Charm Cove is full of surprises. Will they discover what is affecting all of the spells and the odd weather? Is someone doing this? And why?
This book is best enjoyed if others in the series have been read. Several references are made to past stories. Always a delight to be back in Charm Cove with the Goods and the Wickeds. Juliette Good finds some discrepancies with some account thefts for the shop. Spells are going amiss and strange weather problems are causing problems. A good witchy mystery, very enjoyable read. 3.5 Stars
The story line was good, the character work was great and the book had a fairly smooth flow to it. This was a quick, fun read which entertained from beginning to end.

Juliette is auditing the accounts for her families businesses. She notices a discrepancies for one of their suppliers. She lets Opal know about it, they are in a holding pattern until they meet up with the owners. Juliette’s magic also goes out of control fixing a simple issue. She doesn’t even know what happened. Juliette’s relationship is going really well with Donovan. They are slowly building their relationship. When Donovan and Juliette go home, they have unexpected vistor that will melt her heart.
Juliette is concerned with the weird storms that keep popping up. She believes that is magical, but doesn’t know who has the power for it. They discover that several witches are also having problems casting even the simplest spells. The problem also seems random as well. There is also issue going on with the towns power supply.
This was a fun book to read, you have several of your favorite characters popping up as they help to figure out what is going on with the weather, spells gone wrong. Juliette will also have to deal with the problem with her families accounts. So good, really enjoyed. Looking forward to the next book

It has been about a year since Charm Cove was the Daisy Wonder of the World, and now the weather is just plain WEIRD. Is it global warming? Might it be magic? Spend a morning with this family-friendly mystery.

Crazy Storms, Off-Kilter Spells, and a Puppy!
This is a fun episode in this series of witch mysteries. This time, someone is firing up terrible storms while benign spells go haywire. It is a fun mystery with a bit or romance and a puppy. Who could want anything more? I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
Author, Lucy May definitely knows how to weave multiple plots smoothly together. The characters are loveable and many are eccentric and the town of Charming Cove is not only charming, but filled with surprises on every corner. You can also expect anything and everything to involve a Wicked or a Good.
A STORMY SPELL has Liam’s sister, Juliette Good, auditing the accounts for the family business and she has found some potential problems with their long time vendor and not sure how to handle it. Then spells start going sideways or cattywampus leaving people afraid to use spells, even simple ones. Then there are frequent, freaky storms near and around the town, is this part of climate change, or something magical?
Again, this series gets five stars for keeping me interested and entertained in a fun and relaxing cozy manner.

Juliette is working doing the accounts now for the family’s company and she has discovered a discrepancy in the accounts for Beauty Bewitched, the shop her aunt Opal runs, one of their long time suppliers Alden Beauty Supply is “skimming” the timing seems to coincide with the daughter of the company stepping up to the helm when her parents stepped back. But what to do, confront the family and pull their order meaning having to find a new supplier who is also magical, or try to find out what is going on with Alden Beauty Supply.
As well as numerical nonsense there is magical mischief going on in the town of Charm Cove, simple spells are going wrong, and the weather seems to be out of sorts, not quite the usual spring storms, and it all seems to be tied to the new wind farm being built on the outskirts of town, and is it a coincidence that Viola Alden (Of Alden Beauty Supply’s) has been seen in the town with the owner of the electric plant, the wind farms direct competition ?
I normally devour the Charm Cove books, I have found them to be entertaining, with a good plot, but I found this book to be slow, the plotline was lacklustre and the conclusion left much to be desired.
There were to many “bit’s” the old Witch Frances trying to destroy community gardens because they might be competition for her organic vegetable company ,
That Viola was a Vegan kept being thrown out there, but I did not understand what that meant? Why was it a big deal? It meant nothing to the actual plotline really. ,
The stray puppy, the accounts, the electric company. At one point there was a meeting called in the town with reference to the wind farm, but I did not understand WHY there was a town meeting?? It had been approved 2 years prior, there had been some damage caused by the tornado and this warranted a town meeting??
This book felt like a stop gap you know that episode in a TV series, where they have run out of money for effects? Well that’s what A Stormy Spell is like, that filler episode, it is not inherently bad, the writing is good, it is just blah meaningless, it did not really even move the characters on unless the run ins with Frances is a lead into the next book?
, If you are looking for something to read that will not tax your brain, if you are invested in the characters of Juliette and Donovan, then I think you could miss this one, hopefully the next book will be more
