A Love Diamond.
Jade has just opened the first human restaurant in the illustrious Alliance Empire. Everything in her new life is falling into place, everything except her love life. Unfortunately, Jade’s true love is a slave and according to Imperial Law, they can never marry. However, Jade is not one to give up easily and she decides that she will do anything to have her man, even if that … her man, even if that means invoking an ancient loophole law that allows her to marry a slave if she marries two other men as well. Can she convince three men of different Alliance classes to marry her? Is she strong enough to balance the demands of all her husbands?
The Alliance Series is set in a fictional future where humans are small-time players in the big-time galaxy. There are no heroes or women being rescued; instead, readers are led through an intricate maze of alien courting customs, duplicitous strict religious codes, vicious culture shock, and uncomfortable compromises.
Although it is possible to jump in the Renascence Alliance Series at any time, it’s recommended you read Married to the Alien Admiral of the Fleet, Renascence Alliance Book 4 or Married to the Alien with No House, Renascence Alliance Book 3 before reading Restaurateur in the Alliance Empire: Renascence Alliance Series Book 6.

I was on the edge of my seat with this book, waiting to see if Jade could keep her other half without dying! So many new shocking discoveries and I’m left with so many questions, and I’m hoping there will be more in this series, the narration was fantastic. I reveived this book in exchange for my honest review.
This series is fantastic. Each story is unique and entertaining. Page turning and plenty of drama, action, cultural differences, predigests, hunky aliens and plenty of steam. I’d start at the beginning of this series because each book has a different story about each of the women who are taken to the Alliance Empire. The humans are know as the lost children. Jade is the first human to open a restaurant and it’s doing great. Her love life is another thing. He is a slave and according to Imperial law she cant marry a slave so she has to invoke an old ancient loophole law. She must fine three other men of different class to marry her. One man is hard enough but she’s willing to do whatever she need to. Highly recommend this series. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
“After a few seconds, the sign that read, ‘Human Food’, lit up automatically, she smiled and thought, This is it. It is time to begin my life as a restaurateur in the Alliance Empire.”
Restauranteur in the Alliance Empire is the sixth book in the Renascence Alliance Series and in my humble opinion, so far, the best. Finally, a woman who is taking charge of her alien husbands. She has her restaurant, her staff, (I am not giving away any spoilers, so I am skipping naming five things here, her chickens [You are a real chef, Jade, keeping your own livestock from Earth, no wonder Babette said you literally brought everything in book three]), and she knows what she wants and how to get it. Unlike the other books, we don’t see Jade fumbling through Alliance protocol. Whether it’s because of the knowledge she receives from her aunt and uncle who run the Human Store or her staff giving her tips, she manages to get what she wants. I also thoroughly enjoyed that she wasn’t put off by all the nudity in the Alliance, even though we know from a comment here or there, she isn’t a size zero. I thought that was a nice touch, you can imagine Jade’s size to be as big as you want, but despite living in the Alliance, where we know that most people are physically fit, she still wears backless dresses and gets her men, who I think love her for who she is first and then appearances second. Ms. Nilsson has really done a terrific job at flipping the Alliance society to be geared towards women, because I would say in our real world, women let a lot of physical attributes for men slide if they have good personalities and/or jobs, whereas women are still held to such incredibly high standards. I thought these little touches throughout the book were really great to drive home the world-building.
Beyond the romance and sex, (the latter being amazing, every chapter and no repeats. And the slave wedding!!!! I don’t think I could have done what Jade did. I would have passed out!) We learned so much more about the overall Alliance story which I assume will be concluded in book eight. I am very curious about how what Jade and Mara found in the library has to do with what Admiral Tir could be planning. I feel that there is so much going on… Also, the mention of the pet pictures. Hilarious. I personally don’t like body hair on myself so that would be my worst nightmare (as you know from my own book). I thought Jade was badass when she just took the brush from the slave at the whirlpool place. You go girl.
In terms of writing, without a doubt this is the best-written book in the Alliance series. It is a pleasure to see that overall, the writing and the stories are getting deeper and better. And what I also appreciate is that I have no idea how this series is going to end. But I really do hope that Jane comes back. It’s no surprise who has her and what she has been up to. I assume that will be resolved in the next book and I cannot wait, just to see what happens!
