Lurking beneath the surface, a monster waits. Possessive. Dominating. Alpha. Aver Walker isn’t one to make waves. He’s steady, calm and sensible. He and his cousins have carved out a good life for themselves and things around the Walker house are finally starting to look like normal. Their version of normal, anyway. And Aver couldn’t be more miserable. He’s been living a lie, hiding his sexuality … lie, hiding his sexuality and his nature. No one realizes his rational demeanor is a facade and it’s getting harder to hide the dominating beast lurking beneath his skin. The only time he can be himself is when he leaves his home. At the end of each trip, he has to tuck his true identity away. The task was never easy, but he always managed, until he met the man who made him want to be just who he was for every moment possible.
Self-professed guardian gayngel, he helps those who need his help, too bad he needs it the most.
Hollister Addams never recovered from losing his family in a tragic childhood accident. He hasn’t survived as long as he has without hope and a whole lot of luck. Now, he does what he can to help those around him. His job as a waiter in Seattle’s hottest gay club brings him up close and personal with some of the city’s most vulnerable. He’s helped by his gift of reading people’s emotions, but his true superpower is far more difficult to explain. When Hollister spots Aver, he doesn’t need his powers to know the man needs help, but not because Aver is powerless. He’s tortured.
Every time Aver returns home, he lets go of a life he’ll never get to live. But after a weekend with Hollister, Aver refuses to shove the memories, or the man, behind him. Hollister makes him feel like he could have everything he wants, his life in the pack and his man by his side. But, as things once again begin to heat up on pack lands, Aver is split by the two sides of his life. The pack needs a leader—once and for all—and the Walker house sits in conflict. Without their matriarch, they are flying blinder than usual and the decisions they make now will change everything.
Love is the fourth and final book in the Wolves of Walker County series. It’s packed with the romance, jokes, loyalty, and love you’ve come to expect from the Walker men. Love answers that question everyone in Walker County has been asking, who will lead the pack?
For maximum enjoyment, this quartet should be read in order.

What an awesome conclusion to this series. I loved finally getting to know the real Aver, yes there were moments that he was extremely angry but there were moments when it felt like everyone was against him and considering the other alphas’ had a lot of moments when they were angry but maybe because Aver took it too far with Nash so it’s not a stranger. I know if someone tried to harm or keep one of the other mates from them they’d be angry, it also could be because when Aver came back from Seattle and they found out about Hollister Aver seemed like a completely different person so maybe they didn’t know how he’d react. It probably didn’t help that he was spending time alone at his parents so to his cousins and their mates it must seem like he’s pulling away towards the pack that’s bad news. Even though Hollister is a self-professed guardian gayngel and that he helps people who can’t help themselves but nothing was really shown how he made it work. I liked the connection between Aver and Hollister but there seemed to not be as much romance as the previous books but I still think they suited each other really well. I wished Nana was featured more in this story as she was one of my favourite characters. I’m glad that Aver came through in the end for the better of the pack and him and his cousins, they made sure the right person is in charge that a new era that Alpha Patrick Walker wanted before he passed away. I also liked that Branson found a letter written to him, Aver, Nash and Wyatt from his late father which kind of explained the arrival of their blessed omegas and their powers. I’m looking forward to reading the Wolves of Royal Paynes series next and getting to know Jazz, Hollister’s friend and to see why his dad has sent mercenaries after him. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
This fourth in the series brought on a few more tears then the first three but when you are wrapping up a series sometimes you get more. It is well written- answers questions and gives you the same love, loyalty(although tested) and family as the other stories. The humor is still there and the connection that each alpha has with their omega. But the connection between our omegas is also deeper and the children just make you smile.
We have many unexpected moments to a certain degree but if you read the other stories they won’t be a complete shock to the system.
A fantastic conclusion to a fantastic series!
This was absolutely my favorite book in this series. I’m not sure if it’s because we finally see the real Aver or because it wraps up so nicely with a big bow and none of the original Elders scheming against their own pack. Aver and Hollister had a hot and fast romance in which Aver was able to reveal his true alpha personality thanks to Hollister. This series ended in a happily ever after all around.
Endings & beginnings, the saga continues.
What a stunning conclusion to the Wolves of Walker County. My old friends welcomed me back with open arms. I went into their lives willingly. Fated mates, blessed children, old enemies, and a coming out to end all outings. The story races to the concusion, leaving you on the edge of your seat. Oh, and keep a fan handy, the sex is that hot! You are going to love this book!
Aver is living a double life. Able to be fully himself, Alpha & gay, only when out of town, he isn’t looking for forever. Then he meets Hollister, and knows he can’t let him go. Hollister takes a chance with Aver. Not understanding the instant attraction, he just knows he wants everything with Aver.
Join Aver & Hollister on their road to HEA. On the way, all your questions will be answered. The Walker cousins will come into their own. A new blessed baby will be born. Nana will return. There will be a new Alpha for the pack. The conclusion will leave you gasping. What a rush!
This is a continuation of the Walker saga. I recommend reading the first three books in order. Time. Well. Spent. The ending does set up the next series. I can’t wait to read it.
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
Seriously, after 4 books and a plot that was getting more and more complex and interesting, this book gave to the series the perfect closure. All what happened through the end, from Aver finding Hollister, passing for all the intrigue and corruption inside the pack, the resolution of a murder, to the most intense and amazing, Alpha’s selection in the story of alpha selections, this book tied up all the loose ends. I strongly recommend to read the books in order, because, believe me, you wouldn’t want to miss a single word. Loved it!
I thought this was a brilliant book and ending of the series that should be read in order due to continuation of the story arc. Following Aver who finally admits his true identity and feelings with Harrison. I enjoyed the chemistry between them as they have hurdles to overcome for their happiness. Definitely recommend.
I gotta admit, I was a little weary about Aver’s story, as he always seemed like he was just too meek and kind of a pushover. But then hot Alpha Aver came in full force and I was there for it! It was so so good! Although a lot of this “new” Aver was not the best, it was so wonderful to see him come into his own and become the man he was destined to be. Hollister was fabulous too, and he complimented Aver so perfectly. I loved the explanation for all the questions of how everything came to be and what made the blessed ones (I NEVER saw it coming and it was perfect)! Horrible parents were, of course, horrible; but it just made the cousins and their mates stronger in the end. We finally get to see who becomes the Alpha and I LOVED it. Just a great story, and series, all around; I highly recommend it and can’t wait for the spin off!
