Noah MakwaIt’s bad enough that as the elder bear shifter in my clan, I’ve got to guide two adult cubs through their changes and help them acclimate to their newfound abilities, but the biologist who recently transferred to my office is the icing on my stress cake. She’s not only a beautiful distraction, she’s also smart, funny, and her research project has the potential to reveal the existence of … reveal the existence of shape shifters to the world—especially when there are two bears running around who aren’t quite acting as bear-like as they should.
Gwendolyn Locke
I moved to Parrish Falls—a.k.a. The Middle of Nowhere—Michigan to study black bears. But in the three months that I’ve been working as a biologist at the local branch of the DNR, I haven’t seen a single one. Because my boss has been actively cockbear-blocking me every chance he gets. I don’t know what his problem is, but I’m about to find out. Just as soon as I can look at his gorgeous, grumpy face and not mentally relive every filthy sex dream I’ve had about him.
Confronting Noah doesn’t go as planned, and I discover that shape shifters exist and fairy tales aren’t just stories. Somehow, I’ve found myself snowbound and playing Goldilocks to three stupidly-hot bear shifters. As it turns out, “just right” is so much more than a figure of speech.

This has been my first venture into shape shifting romance, and I am glad I listened to my friends and read it!!! It was entertaining and I enjoyed it.
Great writing, intriguing cast of characters and the HEAT!!!
I am now a full covert to shifter stories! The chemistry and heat is off the charts!! Hot, steamy, and funny…you can’t go wrong. Have me serious Goldilocks and the Three Bears vibes but adult style.
This shifter romance was my first and I fell in love with the world this author created. Noah and Gwen are drawn together, but both resist until an eventful night during a snow storm. The shifter element is well developed with just enough detail to make it believable and to accept Noah and his “cousins”, Quinn and Lucas, without question. The sweet connection between Gwen and Noah is heart melting. There are several funny moments. There are also steamy scenes, including a melt-your-kindle scene with Noah, Gwen, Quinn and Lucas. Though this book is scorching hot, it never sacrifices the element of emotional connection to get there.
Set on the Keeweenaw Peninsula in Michigan’s upper Peninsula region, this wild environment is perfect for this shifter romance. The story is written in first person with dual POV. I am hooked and cannot wait for more books in this series.
My first shifter romance and I LOVED it. Gwen and Noah’s chemistry jumps off the page even at the beginning when they were enemies. Lucas and Quinn stole the show many times and I hope for more of them in the future. Also, this story has the hottest menage scene I’ve ever read that somehow came across as intimate and sweet at the same time. Bronwyn Green is a true talent and this novella is meant to be devoured! 5 Goldilocks stars!
Loved this book! Just what you need to end your day with a smirk, giggle, fan and a cold glass of something to cool down. Loved the characters. Gwen, Noah Lucas and Quinn. Their chemistry could set your kindle on fire! A highly recommended read! Check it out!
If you love Goldilocks and the Three bears then this paranormal romance is for you. This is not normally a genre I read but as soon as I saw Bronwyn wrote it, I knew I had to try it. I am so glad I did.
This is one of the hottest takes on Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Bear shifters are my favorite of all shifters and these guys definitely reminded me why. It’s a fast paced, amazingly well written novella that sucks you in from the first page. I’m feeling the need for a walk in the woods.
Full disclosure: PNR isn’t usually my jam. But there’s certain authors you step out of your comfort zone for and Bronwyn Green is one of those authors for me.
This book has a fierce scientist, a super grumpy bear, and two funny cousins that bring levity but also help bring the heat. So. Much. Heat!!! I seriously thought my kindle would catch fire because of it.
PNR might not be my preference but I couldn’t put this one down and enjoyed every second of it.
In a word – HOT!
That’s what Green’s latest, Just Right, got me. So hot I had to turn on a fan. Not one fan, but two. This new release, which may be a re-release (revised and edited) caught me by surprise for a multitude of reasons that I would love to discuss.
Reason one, it plays with the fated mate’s trope and the tale of Goldilocks and The Three Bears in an interesting way, without anyone actually saying the two main characters were fated to be together. This may not be Green’s intention, but I read it that way and loved it. Reason two, there is so much story condensed into such a short page count and Green knows how to make every. Single. Word. Count. She doesn’t waste space or time and still provides excellent layering of background and world building. In fact, I’m eager to pepper this author with questions about what comes next. Will there be more books set in the small town of Parrish Falls? Will we get more of Lucas and Quinn, the other two bears?
Reason three, this is the biggie, Green writes some of the hottest sex scenes I’ve read in a while and this book offers them up in spades. When Goldilocks is snowed in with the three bears (shifters) then of course wild shenanigans are a must. Creative, incredibly sexy, and with witty dialogue like these gems:
“Careful, little girl… I bite back.”
And, “Apparently, Goldilocks is what’s for breakfast.”
All of these elements made it very easy for me to read this book just a couple hours. Goldilocks, Gwen, is completely believable as a researcher for black bears and I love her acceptance of Noah and the bear shifter community. Read into that however you wish. Playing with popular tropes like fated mates (because they are), enemies to lovers, and of course a fairy-tale twist is more than just right. It’s perfect.
You can’t go wrong with this quick read. I highly recommend it.
Enthralled!
More bear please! Although I’m a huge rom-com girl, I couldn’t help but love this bear shifter romance set in the wilds of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This book is smart, sexy, and funny; which are my tried and true hallmarks of a great romance. Bronwyn Green made the implausible completely believable, with enough detail to keep me engrossed in the unlikely romance between Noah Bear and Gwen the scientist. Noah and Gwen are co-workers who soon become lovers after they try and fail epically to resist their baser instincts. Providing comic relief and scorching hot heat to the story are “cousins” Quinn and Lucas who happen to be lovers and also shifter bear “cubs”. I loved this book, and I can’t wait to read more from this world!
Goldie and her three bears 2020 style! I really enjoyed this spicy escape. Noah has a secret he must keep from Gwendolyn; however, during a snowstorm all bets are off. The bears out of the bag so to speak and now she’s stuck with not one but three gorgeous shifters. You could feel the heat and tension between Gwen and Noah immediately. His cousins were fun and added to a particular intense chapter. Great writing! Looking forward to more from this author!
Just Right is a short story. It has some paranormal aspects to it, but it’s not your typical paranormal. Gwen moves to Michigan to study the habits of bears, however Noah blocks her attempts for fear that his clan, himself and his cousins will be exploited. A freak storm, a bear in the middle of the road and being trapped in a cabin with three hot bear shifters!
This is a very sexy, very hot version of Goldilocks and I can’t recommend Ms. Green enough!
Just Right is a retelling of the fairytale Goldilocks. Gwendolyn Locke is our Goldilocks and she has recently moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and is working specifically at the Parrish Falls Department of Natural Resources to study black bears. There is an obstacle in one Noah Makwa, Gwendolyn’s boss, even though Gwendolyn is attracted to Noah to the point of have $€x dreams about him, they don’t get along. Every time Gwendolyn tries to conduct research Noah obstructs her. Noah finally relents and takes Gwendolyn with him! The attraction turns out to be mutual, but Noah controls himself. On Gwen’s drive home from work that night there is a terrible winter storm and Gwen wrecks her car avoiding an animal. Gwen’s is injured in the accident, but pulls herself up by her bootstraps and attempts to put the bear she hit out of it’s mystery, but weird things happen. We meet Lucas and Quinn who are staying with Noah. Noah has no choice but to show his cards and get everyone back to his home because of the storm. The whole story is great and I enjoyed my day spent reading it. I’m looking forward to Lucas and Quinn’s story!
I loved the play in the fairy tale and the interactions with Gwendolyn and Noah. Gwen has a little sass that is fun. The relationships between her and the three bears was intense and sexy, I wish there was a little more interaction though, I would love to know a little more about the cousins. I would recommend as a light weekend reading when you need adult time away from your rugrats. I know you feel me on that. 😉
