Bodybuilder Boss is the eleventh book in the Men on a Mission series and is the story of Finn McGavin and Caroline Kendrick.
Finn is a well known athlete who Olympic medals and accolades. He is also the CEO and founder of Finn’s Fitness, a very successful fitness/gym company.
Caroline was hired to work in the administration department of Finn’s Fitness three months ago and her probationary period is up today. She had decided that working in the corporate world is not what she wants to do and decides to quit.
What Caroline did not anticipate was that Finn has been watching her every since she started working for the company. He is attracted to her and wants to be with her. So when he meets with Caroline and offers her a permanent position in the company he is more than a little surprised that she quits instead. Well actually she quit while she was crying and then ran away. He is confused as he thought she was happy working for him but no matter what he is not going to let her get away from him. But does she feel the same?

I enjoyed this storyline. The characters are well developed and engaging and full of chemistry. I enjoyed the smooth flow of the storyline.

I love this author’s books! The escapism is delicious & much needed when real life is drab!

Caroline is a 22 year old intern who works at the headquarters of a fitness company. She works alongside a gorgeous specimen of mankind – Finn. He is out of her league, or so she thinks.

After 3 months of longing looks between them, Finn calls her into his office to tell her the good news of a permanent job, salary & health benefits. Her reaction – RUN!!

What follows is a gripping, witty tale of two people who want the same thing & are determined to get it!

I wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone – It’s a lovely read, with a smidge of steam!

I liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and relatable. I understood where Caroline was coming when she ran, I just can’t imagine actually doing that.

Finn has been all-in for Caroline for a while but felt like he needed to wait until she was off probation before making a move. He’s stunned when she runs out and has to find out why because there’s no way he’s letting her go without fighting for her. I loved that he wanted to fix things for her so that she would come back to work, but accepted her decisions too. The fact that they both wanted the same things in life, but didn’t know that the other wanted them was cute and funny at the same time. I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book.

This story is somehow nothing remarkable. It is sweet and feelgood and the characters are sweet and the storyline is as well but that is somehow it. There are no twists or turns as the story is too short to allow for anything to happen… So sorry for not being able to give out more than three nice stars.

Finn McGavin hired a young woman at his fitness chain headquarters at “Finn’s Fitness”. Now that Caroline Kendrick’s probationary period is up, she has a great review from her supervisor, so he is ready to conduct her review meeting where he will give her the good news that she is now a permanent, full-time hire, with a raise and full benefits. It’s strange, but she just sort of squirms uncomfortably in her seat at the news. He asks her what is wrong, and she says that despite it being the best job ever, she doesn’t think she belongs here. Instead of being pleased, she jumps up, says she quits, and runs out the door! What is going on?

He thought back over her work here. She caught on quickly and did a good job. She seemed happy. She even seemed to show some interest in him. What has upset her? He thought about the wisdom of following her home since he was familiar with her apartment building. As her employer, that would be wrong. But she quit! And he had to know what upset her so badly.

Caroline went home and hugged her cat. She should have quit sooner. It was hard enough working in a corporate setting, but she didn’t have the toned body that went with a fitness center! She went for the administrator job so she didn’t stand out, but from the boss on down, everyone was toned and fit! Her doorbell buzzed and when she finally let him in, she was shocked that her boss had followed her home. He told her he was worried and he talked to her until she told him about her discomfort with her body being so different from the others. He reassured her that curves were something many men preferred, and he assured her she was beautiful. She reached out and took his hand. Would he try to prove to her how he truly wanted her? Was she ready to allow him into her life? And was he ready for the playful, lively, fun woman unlike any other he had ever met?

A good romantic novella that captivates you from the beginning. Instant love for Finn as he tries to convince young Caroline that his love is real. Nice storyline with characters that are well written showing their funny and vulnerable sides. Nice ending full of fun laughter and happiness. Ms. Gilead’s style of writing is always upbeat with witty banter and love.

Politics at work is very real so it’s no wonder a woman like Caroline doesn’t want to be the center of gossiping. Especially cute was the way she handled her ex-boss Finn. Even though there was around a 16 year age gap, at times it seemed she was the mature one. Once they got the relationship off to a solid start, things took off. Very cute couple in how they listened to each other and were willing to compromise when necessary. Surprisingly the subject of her wanting to be with him just for his money didn’t come up. Nevertheless, this is a short, sweet, and steamy read.
