English Prep stands tall with its ivy-covered exterior and old, wrought-iron doors. The stone gargoyles sit at the school’s entrance, knowing just as much as anyone: I don’t belong. Once upon a time, I did. I belonged in the “it” crowd with all the other well-endowed kids, but now, I am no longer welcome. Not after five years away from this place. Not after the scandal that landed me on the wrong … landed me on the wrong side of the tracks.
I’d be lying if I said I’m not looking forward to seeing the one person who was always by my side. My old best friend. My safe place.
Only, Christian isn’t the same boy I left behind. His cold, brooding, devastatingly attractive glare sends chills down my spine. My old best friend doesn’t welcome me with open arms, and I have no idea why. Lies continue to fall from our lips.
Christian wants me gone.
But I’m determined to stay.

Having recently found this author on Instagram I couldn’t resist reading this book. I wasn’t disappointed. All The Little Lies was fantastic from the first page. I literally felt like I was inside the pages, feeling everything poor Hayley was going through. I thought the character development was so good, from Hayley, Christian, Piper and Ollie to the hideous Queen B-Madeleine. This story is not just a high school bully romance, it is so much more, it was full of upset, heartbreak, intrigue, friendships, lust and betrayal. Hayley and Christian were super hot together, even though it took them a long time to realise that they couldn’t fight their feelings anymore and were able to work through the troubles of their joined past. Now looking forward to reading Ollie and Pipers book.
I am totally loving this bully romance and that it is something different from SJ. And she totally hit it outta the park!
I just loved the relationship between Christian and Hayley. Yes Christian is the bully but you could tell that there was a reason behind it, one that showed he cared in a way.
But Hayley, oh man this poor girl. She broke my heart right at the start. But the fact that she was still so strong and fierce, showed a lot about her character!
Christian also showed his character as well, and when he did I fell in love with him. Yes he had his not so great moments but to me he definitely made up for those moments.
Overall I enjoyed this book and loved seeing this come from SJ. I adore everything she writes and this has just been added to the list! If you love a good bully romance than look no further.
5⃣
recommendation
Hayley finds herself returning to English Prep after 5 years away. She hopes to reconnect with Christian, her best friend from middle school. However, time hasn’t healed their wounds, in fact, time seems to have opened more of them.
What can I say about this book except for “WOW”? I am so impressed with this author. I read this book without stopping for half a day. This is the first book I’ve read by S.J. Sylvis, but I’m immediately going to seek out more. I love a good bully read, but it’s becoming increasingly hard to find books without the same old recycled tropes. Not true for this one! Obviously, the plot had similar themes to other bully books, but the story as a whole was original to me. Not saying there aren’t others out there like it, but I haven’t read any.
I absolutely loved the dynamic between Hayley and Christian. Everything about them and what they were going through just felt so REAL. Christian’s inner dialogue dealing with his thoughts/emotions about Hayley was perfect. Reading how his feelings slowly changed from one way to another never felt rushed, it developed perfectly.
I tend to be one of those people who find it hard to overlook grammatical and spelling errors. While I am by no means an editor, I can’t tolerate errors that are so obvious that they distract me from the story. I didn’t have that problem with this book. .
Overall, I loved the story, and if you love a good bully romance, then I highly recommend giving this book a chance. I’ll definitely be off looking for my next S.J. Sylvis book!

*Spoiler Alert*
Old school friends Hayley (FMC) and Christian might have been close when they were younger but when Hayley rocks up at English Prep older and worn down by the life shes living now Christian is the last person to be thrilled to see her. Misplaced hatred has Christian on a mission to make Hayley’s life a misery until she leaves the school. The only problem being Hayley is already living in hell so hes not going to get his own way. A dark book in places. Some of what has happened to Hayley wa so sad to read but even with all that she had to cope with she never let it get to her enough to lose her focus on what her goals were. To get a good education and move on from the life she had. Christian on the other hand i wanted to slap him and tell him to grow up for his treatment of Hayley. All that being said this book is pretty good read actually and i really liked it
Where was I before I read ‘All The Little Lies’, I do not know, because S. J. Sylvis has written a story like no other.
Christian and Hayley surely do grab onto your hearts, and once they’ve claimed their spot, they don’t let go.
Christian and Hayley have a strong connection and you can see their growth as you read the book.
The characters are well-developed and the book is beautiful and so well-written! Sammi has outdone herself with this mind-blowing novel!
I will definitely be going back to their story, and be anxiously waiting for Ollie and Piper’s novel.
There’s no way you cannot want more, that’s for sure.
All the Little Lies absolutely floored me! This mature high school romance is ultimately a story of love, redemption, and transformation, all with a side of heat. Hayley is a fierce and brave heroine, while Christian is a total alpha. Their chemistry is off the charts, and I loved how this book had a dash of enemies-to-lovers, a dash of second chance, and a bit of suspense. So good!
I liked that this bully romance wasn’t anything like the typical one. Christian and Hayley knew each other growing up. After her father was murdered she went into foster care. Hayley ended up her senior year at the same school as Christian. He didn’t like her, but she didn’t know why. I didn’t see how I could possibly like Christian at any point in the book. But by the end of it I did. The drama, angst and suspense made it hard to put the book down because I had to know what was going to happen next.
This is the first book I’ve ever read by S. J. Sylvis, and boy, was I happy I did!!! This book was so good! Excellent writing style and storytelling. I absolutely loved the chemistry between Hayley and Christian, and I can’t wait for Piper and Ollie’s story, the second book in the series, to come out. Overall, an amazing read!!! Definitely recommended to those of you that are high school bully/romance fans.

Loved It…. talk about edge of your seat drama…Wow
I knew right from the start this book was going to grab me. The emotional connection started on the first page. I’ve read all day. Couldn’t put it down… and it’s six minutes till midnight. I love reading a storyline that draws me in, makes me feel. All the Little Lies does that and more.
This is an emotionally charged book that will have you wondering… just needing to know what happens next? There is more than one angle to this book but they all inner-connect.
WARNING: Be prepared for one emotional, heart-wrenchng but hopeful rollercoaster ride. Even though the primary plot centers on a bullied and mistreated girl, there is so much more connected to her…. things she doesn’t even know.
OBSERVATIONS:
Haley is precious, smart and was forced to learn how to be tough… in other words, she had to learn how not to feel —- anything! Watching her dad murdered when she’s 13 should be bad enough, right? But living in foster care and learning to protect herself is something else. Haley is a survivor…. she survived bullies, she survived her mother (maybe I should say egg donor), she survived murderers. And you must keep asking the question…. why was her dad murdered and why was she allowed to live, seemingly unnoticed for five years? This girl has guts, that’s for sure. But at the same time, she’s innocent and soft … and wise. And, she’s a good negotiator … just ask Christian. She knows when to strike back and when to stay mum. She knows when and how to distract if needed.
Christian is in complete denial. Yes, at 13 I can understand his thinking but he eventually grows up, in more ways than age and height. He has allowed his thinking process to evade the truth because of his own guilty feelings. When all the time, if he would have opened his mind and accepted the truth, he would have known it was misplaced guilt and not real. But rest assured, those he cares about will be protected!
Piper, Ollie and Eric are strong secondary characters. They are loyal and protective of each other. Hope to read their stores soon.
Gabe’s role needs expanded. Why did his parents drop those charges? Did he feel so entitled, so superior, that he thought Haley ‘owed it to him’? Did he ever change? Did he meet up with Aunt Karma?
Aunt Karma…. and yes, I’d love to meet her more in the story, especially concerning Madeline and her groupies, Frank, the head of the drug cartel and the hit man. Yep, things happen when serving time.
Evidently Madeline has her own story to tell. I find it interesting that seemingly Madeline suffered something bad in the past. When I compare that to how she reacted vs how Haley reacted, it’s easy to see effects and affects of choices. There always are consequences to choices …. good and bad. Aunt Karma is queen of the bad.

Wow, I don’t have the words for this book. I don’t always enjoy a bully romance but this one knocked it out of the park. It has the bully aspect but the MMC redeemed himself to make the love story believable.
Hayley and Christian were best friends until one fateful night 5 years ago that changed things dramatically for both of them. When Hayley returns to their school, she thinks Christian will be happy to see her but instead she sees hatred in his eyes. Christian blames Hayley for how things happened and tries to get her kicked out of school. But Hayley is a strong woman despite everything she has gone through. She needs to do well at this school if she hopes to get scholarships for college and she won’t let Christian stand in her way.
I loved how much secondary story there was beyond the will they or won’t they of Christian and Hayley. There was so much suspense and thrill that made this book hard to put down, I just needed to know what was going to happen. Christian changed a lot throughout this book. His anger softened and his love for Hayley grew. He definitely had a lot to make up for considering how he treated her at first but in the end he did everything he could to protect her and won her over.
I am excited to start the next book to find out more about the other characters.
It’s been more than 3 years since I picked up a bully romance cz I find it very toxic (my personal opinion). So I decided to give this a try, it was more towards a hatred than bullying and I felt it was better than the others which I had read. The main lead would have bullied her twice max and others were about what went down with them. And I loved it. I couldn’t put the book down till 70% of it and then it became a tad bit stretched out after that. The same back and forth about her past. So I didn’t feel like reading it in one sitting. Then I reminded myself that I had a book to complete and sat to read it and the remaining part of the story was not as good as the previous half, but it wasn’t that bad as well. I loved Ollie and Piper’s side romance than the real.main leads in here. I can’t wait to read their book. Hayley was shown as a badass and I feel it would have been better if she truly felt like that and didn’t use that just as a defence mechanism. Christian was annoying af at the start but later I started liking him.
I also liked the fact that this didn’t have a doormat heroin she stood up for herself and her friendship with Ollie and Piper is so cute.
Would love to know more about Ann tho. She made me fall in love with her instantly.
And I have no clue of how the smut level is in this cz as soon as it starts I skip ahead and read only the quoted ones
But gotta accept their first kiss was hot af
Please look for the trigger warnings before getting into it.
TW: Abuse, sexual assault.
I would recommend this if you like a light bully romance, with loads of back story, dirty secrets, angsty af novel.
This was so much more than a Prep Series and trust me, once you read one, you’ll read them all. Sylvis is a witty writer with a strong ability to weave a story and leave you wanting more. I enjoyed All the little lies and it wasn’t my last book! So happy to find a new author that I love.
S. J. Sylvis has the talent to suck you in with her books, no matter what genre. From Contemporary Romance to Rockstar Romance to Highschool Bully Romance, she does it all. ATLL was another book I read within 24 hours. Hayley and Christian’s story had me on my toes the entire time. The hints as to why Christian feels the way he does about Hayley had me turn the pages faster and faster. This is a must-read for everyone who enjoys HS Bully Romance!!
Oh! My! God! This was a FANTASTIC book!!
I’m new to this author, but my friend kept pestering me about reading this one. So I finally started late last night. Fell asleep around midnight. Woke up around 3.30am and kept reading. I could NOT put this book down. I simply had to know what’s happening!
Absolutely loved this book and I am now going to start book 2 in this series.
This book had me hooked from the first page, it made me cry, made me smile, made me cringe, made me love. Everything!!
This book was amazing! This is the first book I’ve read by author S J Sylvis but I will be reading more in the near future. I couldn’t put my kindle down for a second. Hayley Smith and Christian Powell were fantastic characters. This book was an awesome high school bully romance with a touch of mystery and suspense. Kudos to Sylvis on an original well-written masterpiece! This book is a must read and I highly recommend.
