Reviewers Choice Best Shifter Series 2019 – Paranormal Romance Guild Chandler Williams keeps his personal life very separated from his public life as a news anchor, but the new story he’s chasing seems to lead him on a collision course with not only exposing himself as a jaguar shifter, but potentially his entire Pack. Oh wow! What an emotional experience. Wendy has gone through so much in the last few years, when she met Chadler she was due for her own little miracle. I love the direction the author took this book and the way the characters connected and grew into their relationship. Like all of her other books, the author kept us on the edge of our seats with those intense moments at every turn. I enjoyed the overlap from the previous books and yet loved that this book can stand on its own. I am really enjoying this series and I can’t wait to read the next installment.

My review :
Will she be able to believe her world has not ended but it is more the beginning of a new one …
This one book being my second read by Lisa Kessler, after a tale of immortal pirates, I am now introduced to her shifters world.
And I loved it.
I have read some books with shifters and each author creates its own rules with often common background. And while here there is still the full moon and the mate thing, it was also bearing Mrs Kessler personal touch.
Wendy faced her world unraveling alone, lost and afraid. Why she took very drastic actions, with no one to counsel her. So she dealt with her change the only way she can think about it, extract it from her body.
She was not born to be a fighter, she grew as the girl to protect, the younger one with her big brother always defending her.
Chandler, when in Wendy same shoes, found in himself the strength to face his change, his upbringing helped too. He, having already been deceived, learned to count only on himself. Which enhanced his will and helped to accept his new other half.
He does not see his beast as an infection, he embraced the changes that were forced upon him, and now that he has found a new family who accepts him like he comes, he will do anything for them.
Their encounter is one of fate, up to Chandler to show Wendy she is not the monster she believes she has become. That from tragedy can come good too. And by turning her back to her beast, she has hurt more than herself.
As it was my first foray in Mrs Kessler shifters world, this tale with two outsiders was perfect to be introduced to her cast of various characters and the laws ruling them.

On a special note, as a Frenchy, i did not know if Sedona was a real town, so I googled it and wow, it is quite a beautiful place with its red rock landscapes and vortices.
I was granted an advance copy by the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.

Sedona Scandal is the third in the Sedona Pack Series. Lisa Kessler continues to give reader interesting, complex characters who are loyal, tough, and intelligent. Wendy Cain may be my favorite of the series. Watching her grow from victim to heroine is an amazing process as well as her going from lonely and alone to having family and a pack. Also I will never watch the evening news again without wondering what kind of secrets the news anchors are harboring after Chandler Williams’ story in Sedona Scandal.
Their romance is complete in this story with some up and downs along the way. Interesting to see how fate played such a part in their story. The overall theme of the werewolf/shifter dilemma is moved further along with more to come on that. The suspense is building with a new leader character making herself known.
While the conclusion is satisfying as far as Chandler and Wendy go the demise of the villain seemed to convenient for a Lisa Kessler book so I am wondering if that will come back to hurt the pack in the next book.

The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Love and acceptance do not come easy in this installment of the Sedona Pack. Lisa Kessler once again crafts a story that has suspense and mystery, and heart and heat, wrapped up in her signature style that has the emotion of the story in every word on the page.
Watching Chandler and Wendy work through their issues and find peace with who they were, as well as finding the love, support, and acceptance they craved, was wonderful. They both have had to deal with being bitten and changed, so having Chandler there to support Wendy and understand what she was going through was great. My heart went out to Wendy – she has lost everyone and is convinced she has become a monster and needs to be cured. And as much as she was convinced there was no other solution to her problem (of being a werewolf), I loved her unconditional acceptance of things when she finds that she has a reason to accept her wolf. And I really loved Chandler helping her see herself for the strong person she was and how her wolf just makes her stronger.
The other characters in the book helped not only tell Chandler and Wendy’s story, but also helped shed more light on Evolution Defense, moving that series arc forward. The pack is in some serious danger and Lisa Kessler always finds a way to balance the love story and the suspense so that neither get overshadowed. Wendy played a major part in helping the Pack get some answers and it will be interesting to see how all of the parts come together to finally resolve who is behind things and just how high up things go.
I can’t wait for the next installment to learn more about Evolution Defense and watch the next pack-member find their mate. I am a huge fan of Lisa Kessler and especially love her wolves, and highly recommend her books for any paranormal and/or suspense lovers or anyone who loves a story that is packed with emotion and will give you all the feels!
Slow beginning, but an entertaining story! Wendy was bitten by a wolf shifter against her will and is now obsessed with finding a cure; she knows very little about the shifter community. Her naïveté gets her in to trouble; asking the wrong people for help and such. It can also make her a bit whiny; which is an understandable response to being attacked and changed, but still can be annoying at first. It’s great that she grows as the story progresses though, and I appreciate her honesty. She’s set on telling the world that wolf shifters exist, so she arranges a meeting with newscaster, Chandler. He happens to be a jaguar shifter that is part of a pack that wants to keep shifters hidden, so he’s trying to convince Wendy that shifters aren’t all bad. Wendy and Chandler have a sweet connection, but Chandler has some major walls built up. Still a sexy, sweet passionate connection going on. Love the bits of action; would’ve actually liked a bit more, and loved the overall world this story takes place in. Love seeing the whole pack! Loving this series so far! Excited for more!
