How can a single parent long for someone to call Daddy?
Everything I do is to make sure my daughter has a good life. More often than not, that means I have to ignore my own desires, but she’s worth it.
Working at a kink club might not have been my best move, but the tips make up for the torture of being faced with my fantasies every night.
One night, that’s all William asked for…
One night … all William asked for…
One night will never be enough for me. As soon as I felt his arms holding me while I fell asleep in his lap, I was hooked. He encourages me to be little, but understands it’s not something I can give him all the time.
He loves me just as I am, whether I’m little and needy or on my knees and begging for him.
When the sides of my life collide, will it all be too much for William?
Looks Can Be Deceiving is the second book set at The Lodge, the quirkiest kink club in Annandale. It features an overworked single dad and a retired soldier who avoids any structure in his life until his boy needs mandated nap time and play time.

Corey and Williams story was Loving, Sweet, and Hot. I just loved this book, Quinn Ward is an Awesome Author. You never know what someone is going through, that is how the relationship between these two is started. Looks can be Deceiving is Wonderful.
I loved this book with every ounce of my being. It was sweet, and has all the chemistry one could possibly want. There’s definitely a reason why I adore Quinn’s books so much.
Age-play books with interesting plots are difficult to find so, receiving this book as an ARC was a treat. The plot is complex and original, specially how the author masterfully managed the Daddy/boy kink, involving everything, from the learning curve between William and Corey, to the carefully way they tried to keep the balance between their relationship, family and job. It has some angst and difficult moments but in general is easy to read. A wonderful reading!
I received this book from Gay Romance Reviews and I am voluntarily leaving an honest opinion.
A father who needs a Daddy! A concept I can understand given the circumstances that Corey is in. He is fairly young to be so burdened with the future of his 4-year old daughter.
A retired Army veteran who suddenly finds himself unburdened with responsibilities. Meeting someone to be with is something that he is not sure of right now.
The Daddy/little kink is something I have learned about in a few books I have read, and the dynamic is really intriguing. The concept behind it is totally understandable in the sense that when you are overburdened with responsibilities, and before you break, you need to unload some of it somehow. This book made me understand this particular kink more.
I really enjoyed Looks Can Be Deceiving. It was definitely not part of my regular reading tropes, but that didn’t stop me from totally enjoying it. I love children and when they are an important part of the story I totally enjoy it. I also like that Corey worked hard to find a way to make all parts of his life fit together. I love military vets and it’s neat to see them find new paths after leaving the military. I liked The Lodge and other characters involved in the story. It was a fast-paced, sweet romance and I recommend this story.
This was interesting continuation of this series. The tropes included in this book is age gap, and age play. We have two MC’s William who is older and helps with the lodge as well as good friend with the owner/manager. Corey who is younger, bisexual single dad who is really needs to take some time for himself, and also let his little out! I really liked this story and I feel that there was a lot of chemistry between the two characters. I really liked that Corey was not same typical little that many authors write about. He had a little side but also had a darker side. We are individuals in real life and when authors step out of the normal stereotypical roles it really is refreshing. The romantic scenes in this book are good and I really enjoyed them. The only issue that I have is that I wish the back story was a little bit more developed. Otherwise this is a good book and I highly recommend. I am looking forward to book 3.
Absolutely loved this book. It is the story of Corey and William. Corey has a small daughter who he has partial custody of. He is also a little but feels that because he isn’t a parent he must not acknowledge his little side. William is a Daddy who comes to realize that Corey is breaking under the stress of his denial. He becomes the daddy and friend that Corey needs to be able to combine the two parts of himself. The relationship between Corey and his daughter is so very sweet also.
AMAZING!!!
Some of y’all are like me. Saw Quinn Ward had a new book and either pre-ordered or one clicked when it was live. Some of us are stal… I mean super big fans so we knew what the book was about. Which made it even more of a must have. I loved the Kinky in the City and it’s one of my all time favorites. The Club 83 series gave us great characters and strong emotions but it’s best gift was the lead in to The Lodge. Stories so raw and characters so relatable that you get completely hooked in and attached. They don’t just tell a story. They open the door to a world and lives you want to be a part of and for a while you are. The hardest part is when you finish because you never want to leave. Yeah I could go on and on about Corey and William and about Annandale itself But it’s so much more than that. So much more than one book and one story. So if you’ve been reading them all then you are in for a treat. If this is new I say start from the beginning and immerse yourself in the wonderful world Quinn Ward created.
I really like Corey and William. The chemistry should have been stronger between them. In the beginning they hated each other. Then suddenly they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. I loved all the side characters in the story, they complimented it well. The Daddy/Little play was a little rough in some scenes, but overall, it was a good story line.
I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received from Gay Romance Reviews. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions
Corey and William are just perfect! I The Lodge is a great place to work and to be who you always mean to be! And Corey is so strong inside but William just gets him.
Corey is a single dad and between his two jobs and an ex that doesn’t respect schedules he’s exhausted. William is retired from the military and occasionally helps out at the club where Corey works. The two men don’t like each other at first but as they get to know one another they grow closer. When William offers to help Corey relax and explore his desires Corey agrees.
This is my new favorite book from the author. Corey was so relatable and William was so patient and understanding. I loved reading their story. it warmed my heart. Their chemistry was amazing, and they fit perfectly together. We even got a cameo from Levi and Matteo.
I just loved everything about this book.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review
Corey is a single dad to 4 yr old Willow. He’s burning the candle at both ends trying to be the best dad he can be. Working himself to exhaustion with two jobs.
William is a kind of non official manager at the club where Corey works.
I liked the way William eased Corey into the lifestyle, even knowing it was what he wanted but was afraid to take the leap.
Corey has so many responsibilities he’s scared of taking what he wants, something for himself.
Great kinky story of discovery, love and family. I look forward to more of this series.
