Xavier Blackwood is the man every girl at my college dreams about at night, myself included, but I’d never let anyone know that.
Standing at 6’4” with steel grey eyes, he might look like a walking dream, but he acts like a first-class jerk.
Who would have thought that one night, while dragging myself home after doing double shifts at the diner, I’d be jumped by three men…only to have Xavier … three men…only to have Xavier come to my rescue.
Oh yes, Xavier bloody Blackwood saved my life…but the thing I saw, the CREATURE that ripped those men to shreds, wasn’t the Xavier everyone thinks they know.
He wasn’t human…
He was a wolf, a demon, a creature from myth, but before I had time to process, he knocked me out too.
Humans that learn about the existence of werewolves have to die.
…There are NO exceptions.
The Werewolf Xavier saved me, but now I am condemned to death.
To make things worse, both Xavier and Axel claim I am their mate.
…This can’t be good.

4 stars for Luna Rising by Sara Snow. This is book one in the Luna Rising series. This was a quick interesting read. This book is a young adult romance. Xavier and Ruby are drawn together but Ruby does not know why. Ruby is a human and human who know about werewolves are supposed to be killed. However, that is not the case when it comes to Ruby. I loved how Ruby and Xavier interacted. Also the surprise of Axel . I can not wait to see what is to come next for this group.
Fast Paced & Interesting
Gotta love Ruby and her smart mouth! Story is fast and doesn’t slow down much. Great flow and love how the transformation of turning into a wolf isn’t as easy as other reads, and it isn’t a regular wolf, more like the wolves from ‘The Howling’!?! :-O Scared the crud out of me when I read that part! #Flashback Great start to the series, but not liking the cliffhanger!?! On to the next! #HappyReading
This book is a quick, easy, engaging read with a bit of world building and a lot of character development. It uses a few familiar tropes, like the girl setting out on her own with something irresistibly special about her, rival shifter clans, and fated mates but also throws in a few really good twists with how it all plays out. Lots of relationship drama, but it is only the beginning of the romance. This book ends just as the action is picking up and the story is really getting interesting. There is potential here, but I really hope the series doesn’t make a habit of this type of cliff hanger!
Wow, this book was amazing, I was glued to it from the beginning, and felt so disappointed when I finished the book! It had a great premise and was an emotional rollercoaster, the characters were easy to identify with and kept me invested. There is a cliff hanger but hopefully we won’t be kept waiting for the next book, Meg Price’s narration was wonderful.
Ok…. so I liked this, I just didn’t LOVE it. It felt very short and lacked a few details that would have enriched the story, like mentions of her past, etc. Beyond that, however, it was a decent tale that twisted the familiar werewolf myth enough to have it stand alone.
I’ll follow the rest of the series.

Ruby moves to new town with a scholarship to attend college. Sees sexy guy in class, stares, meets new friend. Gets job at diner. New friend comes in with hottie. He is her cousin, he stares at Ruby and not a nice stare. She walks home after her shift and is confronted by bad guys who start groping her. Enter hottie who now has black eyes and rips thugs apart. This is a good story and has a good narrator. I recommend this audiobook. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and this is my honest review.
I got this book in a giveaway and even if it was the first book I’d ever read by this author I decided to do it because the interesting blurb. I loved it! The plot was way better than the blurb hinted not only because all its little twists and turns but also because the amazing characters and engaging dialogues. I don’t want to spoil anything for you but this book is a page-turner. A wonderful reading!
„Luna Rising“ by Sara Snow, is the first installment of a new urban fantasy series by the same name, that offers a sassy main character dealing with the consequences of being at the wrong moment and place.
Ruby Saunders is a college student, fully aware of the propitious situation she is in, she has made it to college against bad grades odds on a scholarship that still forces to work into a dinner, and is she is determined to do everything humanly possible to keep her grades and with them her tuition privileges and her work, which means keeping her focus on, her head down and boys out of the equation.
The mere existence of Xavier Blackwood, a giant 6ft 8in girl’s dream come alive does not make it easy to stick to her resolutions, but she is so far succeeding, that is…. after she is attacked in the middle of the night, only to be rescued in the last moment by Xavier himself… and just right there the dream turns into nightmare… during the fight Xavier turns into some kind of monster… something that shouldn’t exist… and to make things even worse… the knowledge of his mere existence can get her killed.
Sara Snow Series is well written, an interesting story with likeable characters and some new twists around the werewolf myth. True to her style, the book is fast read (ten chapters and around 140 pages), with a length that allows the action to progress nicely and still allows the story to be in one or two sittings. A promising start into a new urban fantasy series.
