I don’t want him.
I can’t do this.
That’s what my ex said after our son was born, leaving me a single dad.
These days, my world consists of two things: Noah and my bar.
Until her—the woman I want —but can never have.
My ex’s sister wasn’t supposed to be stirred into the mix.
Even though I try to push her away, my son falls in love with her.
As much as I want to keep my distance, I can’t break … love with her.
As much as I want to keep my distance, I can’t break his heart.
Lines become blurred, and fighting our attraction becomes nearly impossible.
Even though we know it’s wrong, desire doesn’t always fade away.
As soon as we cross that line, nothing will be the same and everything will fall apart.
And it does.

I absolutely loved it. Cohen is a single dad just trying to raise his five year old son the best that he can. After being abandoned by his birth mother the day he was born, Cohen has bitter feelings when it comes to his ex and her family. So, imagine his surprise when he takes Noah to the ER and in walks the doctor who also happens to be his ex’s sister. The one woman he always wanted, but could never have. This story was fresh and something I haven’t read in a long while. I loved seeing these characters grow and come to terms with their pasts and dive head first into their futures. Cohen and Jamie have so much chemistry and you can’t help but cheer them on. I adored Cohen’s sister, Georgia and I can’t wait to get her story next. It’s bound to be a doozy. Overall, Stirred is a great start to a new series from Charity Ferrell and I loved this emotion filled forbidden love story.
Angela – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
I really enjoyed this book it had a fun and sexy vibe but also a forbidden emotional edge.
This is a single parent romance told in dual POV so we get both Cohen and Jamie’s perspective. Cohen is the sexy single dad to adorable Noah and Jamie is the unexpected complication he never saw coming. I loved the connection that formed between Jamie and Noah it wasn’t forced and formed naturally. The little things like him picking her favourite cupcakes are used to show his growing feelings for her. Cohen is broody and protective which I love in male characters because when they fall they fall hard. Jamie is his ex’s sister who had always gravitated towards Cohen but there is bad feeling between her family also they realise her family are unlikley to accept a relationship between them. Jamie was the good daughter always choosing the easy route and I just wanted her to stand uo for herself a little more. The other characters we meet add to the story I am particularly looking forward to getting Georgia’s story.
Stirred by Charity Ferrell a five-star read that will leave you shaken and not stirred. This is number one in the Twisted Fox books and number two cant come soon enough, Cohen and Jamie have instant chemistry but it’s the explosive kind, and when Noah is in the mix you can understand why Cohen is explosive, but will he come around? You need to read to find out as sisters aren’t always the same. This was a great story and one you need in your life!!
I’ve read books by this author before and I really enjoy reading her work and this book was just as good it does not disappoint. This is a great single father, a tad forbidden love and a great romance book that was absolutely fabulous and I loved reading it. This is book #1 in the Twisted Fox Series.
Jamie is a beautiful, caring loving doctor that will do anything for anyone if she can, all you have to do is ask. She unexpected sees Cohen in the ER and after treating his son she wants to see her nephew who she has never seen or spent anytime with. She has been through so much and all she wants is to see her nephew.
Cohen is the sexy, loving, loyal caring single father to his son Noah. He is a business owner with his friend of the Twisted Fox Bar and knows how much of a struggle it is trying to balance everything but does a good job. After seeing Jamie who is his ex girlfriends sister its hard for him and Cohen as a lot of what ifs in his mind and caves.
This book starts with a prologue and then fast forwards 5 years and after reading the first chapter I knew I was going to love reading this book. I really loved the story line and I though the author did a fantastic job writing this book and the characters were so great. The chemistry that they have between them both was so strong and they connection was still there even after all this time has passed. They both go on a journey together and you wont want to miss reading these two.
This book is told from different points of view which o always prefer and I always love books that have prologue as I feel they add something extra special to the book. I highly recommend that everyone read this book because its a fabulous five star must read.
Thank you to the author and the publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book. ARC provided in exchange for a honest voluntary review.
Since we‘ve met Cohen and the rest of the crew in Just Roommates I was already interested in his story so when I found out there would be a book for him, I just had to read it and I was not disappointed.
I‘m a sucker for single dads and Cohen is a really hot one. I just loved every bit of this book. Jamie and Cohen have an instant connection and definitely an interesting past, because Jamie is Cohen‘s ex‘s sister and aunt to his adorable son Noah. Obviously this is a massive thing between them since Noah‘s mother walked out on them days after his birth. So you can easily understand Cohen‘s first feelings towards Jamie and her family.
As their story grows more problems are being caused mainly by Jamie‘s sister Heather who honestly got on my nerves so bad and I wanted to strangle her.
It was great getting to know those new characters we‘ve already met and to also see some of our old favorites again.
I loved Cohen, Jamie and Noah so much.

GAWD!
That Prologue, tore me inside out. Cohen oh my dear Cohen… how can Heather be such heartless person… how could she …
I literally couldn’t put this book down. I had to read this and finish this in one sitting. It’s SOO GOOD that it’s a MUST.
Cohen gave his EVERYTHING and He did DELIVERED. When I thought Maliki is my fave… well Cohen swooped in and stole my heart.
Be ready for your emotions to be STIRRED because geez did it played with my emotions and what is right. Cohen and Jamie’s are meant to be but the love and care that they feel for each other… will that be enough to keep them together to do what’s right for them.
My Dear fellow readers
I can’t recommend this book enough. It captured me in a way that no other books did.
Cohen and Jamie’s story is special…so special that you bleed with them.
Charity Ferrell BEST BOOK to date. The way she’s written their story … damn it’s the finest of the finest… the begging…the affection… love… anger… hurt…to fight for what is right …
for what’s right…
Bravo Charity Ferrell! This is Pure-perfection!
Charity Ferrell did a phenomenal job with Stirred, one filled with an emotional rollercoaster. Cohen Fox Hot as all get out, dad to a super awesome Boy whose life is fixing to be turned every way but straight. Is it possible to Choose the wrong sibling, get hurt, and then figure out who you were always truly meant to be with? Can Cohen put his hatred aside and finally admit the feeling he is having trouble coming to terms with the one woman who can right his world?
Jamie is much more than a Dr. she is a woman on a mission to right the wrongs of the past and to make a certain man see that not everyone was against him. Can Jamie Help Cohen see the light, or will heartbreak ensue for these two?
Stirred will have you swooning for more and I need more to the Twisted Fox books and am eagerly awaiting the next installment from Charity Ferrell.
A great storyline and awesome characters.
This was the first book I have ever read by Charity Ferrell. I absolutely loved this story hot sexy, single dad. Jamie and Cohen knew each other in the past. They saw each other again, when Cohen took his son Noah to the hospital, where Jamie works. Cohen has a hard time trusting Jaime in his son life for something that happened in their past that involved someone in Jamie’s life. I love seeing the back and forth between the main characters. Their chemistry was off the charts. The twists and turns of Cohen and Jamie’s relationships kept me glued to the story. The side characters were so amazing, it was awesome start to this series.

Family can complicate things without even trying! Being in a family can make you feel like you need to act a certain way. Family can love you through it all when your heart is in the right place.
This story has a lot of complex issues within it but it’s a journey well worth taking. Sometimes to protect yourself and those you love, you make decisions that after a time can be changed and maybe more will come from it.
Protecting your heart sometimes leaves you lonely and unsure of the chance it could get broken is worth the risk of opening it up!
Take a chance on Jamie and Cohen’s story, it’s worth it!
Life has its own pulse – Its own timeline
Cohen was young when his heart was ripped out and stomped on the first time. It taught him a valuable lesson , one that stayed with him. Until a doe eyed fiery ball called Jamie came crashing back into his world.
It was serendipitous that Noah and Cohen were dropped into Jamie’s world. Slowly both became an intrinsic part of her everyday life. Now she must choose between appeasing her family or her heart. No matter which choice she makes she is aware someone will be hurt.
Cohen let her in!
Jamie sometimes you have to follow your heart, even if it might be against the grain.
Hey Heather we can see the ugly
Noah you can have all the cupcakes your little heart desires.
This was a fun, emotional and at times a touch stressful second chance at first love.
I promise it’s not as confusing as it sounds.
The slow build between Cohen and Jamie was ,for me, what made this story so easy to fall into.
You spend that kind of time getting to know someone, sharing moments both good and bad.
You are bound to catch feelings.
Especially when the seed was already present.
Another home run by Charity Ferrell. I couldn’t put this book down. I stayed up until 2:00am because I couldn’t put down Stirred. It was full of slow burn angst. Which happens to be one of my favorite things to read about. Of course, the writing was top notch and full of witty banter, slow burn angst, and full of sexy steamy scenes. Stirred was everything I expected and more.
Let me tell you, I am in love with Cohen. Dear lord, he is dreamy. Charity knows how to write them. Damaged, sexy, bar owner, and a great dad. Oh, wait, did I mention the sexy talking?! Where do I sign up?! Jamie was the perfect mixture of strong and vulernable. I highly enjoyed reading about her. And Heather, she certainly can go to hell. I wanted to slap her crazy – I don’t know how Jamie didn’t slap her!

Wow, loved this story, first in a new series for Charity! Great start, 5 stars for this one I loved it!
We meet Cohen, single father to Noah, who will win your heart right from the beginning! Cohen’s ex signed her parental rights away when he was born, and it’s been Cohen and Noah ever since. One day when Noah is sick, they end up in the ER only to see the doctor is none other than his exes sister Jamie. Can Cohen let her into his life with Noah even though her family hurt him. Read along and find out!
As I said this is a great start to a new series and I’m looking forward to more in it! Grab your copy asap!
Charity Ferrell kicked off her new series Twisted Fox in a big way with Stirred.
Cohen and Jamie’s story is an emotional rollercoaster I should have been prepared for but was not at all. The prologue broke my heart. Poor Cohen, I can’t even imagine the feels he had. The hate he had for Heather was understandable, and maybe even some of his feelings towards her family. His resentment and hatred of Heather made perfect sense and even his resentment for her family was understandable. You would hope that after so many years it would have fizzled out a little but I think he held onto as a way to protect himself and Noah from heartache.
Jamie Gentry is as sweet as they come. Her only mistake is being the sister of Heather Gentry. Jamie didn’t have a mean bone in her body. My heart hurt for her for a couple reasons, she was in love with Cohen and he picked her sister, and she wasn’t allowed to see her nephew because of the decisions of others.
Cohen and Jamie’s relationship is complicated right from the start. Lines were crossed that neither planned to cross. Jamie breaks down Cohen’s walls and Cohen makes Jamie see that at some point she has to put herself first. They both struggle with the relationship they’re building. Jamie is the sister to his son’s mother, and Jamie doesn’t want to hurt her family.
Heather is a witch with a B, and I felt very okay with the fact she was shot once she comes back. What a selfish terrible person she was. I wanted to reach through my kindle and slap her in the face. And Jamie’s parents, just no. What kind of people allow their grown daughter to act the way she did? I understand feeling a little worried about Jamie’s relationship with Cohen but they should have been more supportive.
And Noah that little boy was just amazing. It’s really no surprise that Jamie fell for both Cohen and Noah. It was very clear the type of father Cohen was based on the type of person Noah was even at five.
Stirred is an amazing start to the Twisted Fox series and has left me needing more of this series. She gives a hint at Georgia’s book and I need it now! Stirred is a delicious, angsty, emotional, steamy read that had me addicted from start to finish.
This book was a definite trip in every sense of the word.
First, it’s a sexy single daddy romance. Cohen is a broody, dedicated family man, his life evolves around his son and his bar.
Second, it’s a forbidden romance as well because the heroine Jamie, is Cohen’s ex girlfriend/baby mamma’s younger sister. She’s a Doctor by day, sassy spitfire by night.
Third, things get complicated when Jamie and Cohen start spending time together and their hatred for one another turns into an all consuming, off the charts attraction which they cannot deny.
Combine these things together and you have yourself one hell of a romance read. Factor in five year old Noah and his determination to make Jamie is new mother and you will just root for them to get their s**t together and make their own sexy happily ever after come true. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. TBR and enjoy.
Charity Ferrell stirs up all the feels in this amazing new book! Right out of the gate with the new Twisted Fox series we get humor, tears, angsty feels and forbidden love. Ferrell never disappoints which is why she’s a one chick author for me.
Stirred introduces us to a new cast of characters, just about twenty miles down the road from Blue Beech, so if you’ve read Charity’s previous books you might recognize some of your favorite characters popping in, but know that Twisted Fox is a new world with lots of people to meet and fall in love with.
In Stirred we meet Jamie, Cohen, and Cohen’s son Noah, they are a package deal and I dare you not to fall in love with the adorableness that is wrapped up in the five year old little boy. Strangely enough, Noah also happens to be Jamie’s nephew and here is where we get into the forbiddenness of Cohen and Jamie’s romance.
Cohen dated Jamie’s sister, Heather, all the way through school, but right after birth, she wanted nothing to do with her son and gave up all rights to Noah. With his son now as his singular focus, Cohan cuts all ties to Heather and her family, which included Jamie. He doesn’t have time to worry about anything else, especially an ex who doesn’t want anything to do with the person who means the world to him.
Jamie hasn’t seen Cohen or Noah for five years, that is until they end up in her ER department. Shocked is an understatement when she first sees them, but wanting to reconnect with her nephew is paramount and the crush she used to have on Cohen hasn’t diminished in the least, but she’ll take knowing Noah above all else.
As much as Cohan wants to continue to keep Jamie out of their lives, he eventually concedes and Noah instantly takes to her. As much as he tries to stay away and give Jamie time with his son, he eventually is drawn to Jamie too, and Cohen can’t help his growing attraction, but they both realize crossing lines could be detrimental if things go bad. It wouldn’t be just their hearts on the line, but Noah’s too and breaking his heart may be a line they aren’t willing to cross.
This is such an amazing start to a new series that will really touch you and pull at all your heartstrings.

Stirred by Charity Ferrell was enjoyable read. I think this series is off to a great start. I look forward to other books in this series.
If you are a fan of the single father romance with a hint of forbidden in it, then this is a book you should read. I really liked this storyline, it was something new that I hadn’t read in awhile. I liked that because of how the Hero and heroine know each other it added a hint of the forbidden romance to it.
As I said, Stirred is the first book in the Twisted Fox series. It is told in Dual POV and is a standalone novel. I thought the flow and pace of the story worked well. The only thing I didn’t really like was the added drama towards the end of the story. I don’t think it needed to be there. I won’t say anymore, I’ll let you decide when you read this book.
In this book we follow Cohen, his 5 year old son and Jamie. Cohen is the co-owner of the Twisted Fox bar and is trying to raise a son on his own. He was betrayed in the worst possible way by his ex. He is still quite bitter about it. So when his son is taken in to the ER, he completely shocked to find his ex’s sister Jamie working there and attending to his son. To say he wasn’t happy is an understatement. Jamie as I said is Cohen’s ex’s sister and an ER doctor. For the past 5 years she has tried everything to get Cohen to let her into her nephews life. So when he ends up in her ER, she sees and opportunity. Can Jamie get Cohen to break down his walls and let her closer to his son. What happens when they cross a line that they can’t come back from?? Can Jamie get Cohen to open his heart again?? Read this book to find out.
I truly liked the other characters we met in this story (except for one) Georgia, Cohen’s title sister was amazing. She was funny and willing to forget the past and get to know Jamie for her not what her sister did. I think she was a great support for both Cohen and Jamie. I look forward to other books with these characters.
If you are a fan of Charity Ferrell’s books, then you don’t want to miss this latest gem of a story. This is a book any single parent romance fans should read. I think you will truly enjoy it!!
This was a 4.5 read… only because I thought the ending was a bit rushed.
I have read a few of Charity Ferrell’s books and loved them all… again I was not disappointed.
Cohan was a character known to me and as such made me even more eager to read.
Jamie and Cohen had an instant connection, it didn’t help that she was his ex’s sister. Would problems from their past haunt their future and stop them moving forward?
Loved this book and thought it had a real feel good feeling.
I mean who can resist a single dad
I was given an ARC but voluntarily chose to review
Stirred by Charity Ferrell is my first read by this author and won’t be my last. Jamie & Cohen’s story was very complicated, but also very realistic. They found something in each other that neither of them ever expected or dreamed could happen. Theirs is not the traditional love story but it is a love story none the less. The writing was fantastic and I hope there will be follow up books with some of the secondary characters (Georgia ).
