This is the 3rd book I’ve read written by Annie Seaton; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the characters.

Wonderful and entertaining story with interesting characters. Like reading about characters and their journey through issues and self reflection. Always love a good romance. Good read.

I love how Annie weaves a story! You are drawn in quickly as she introduces the main characters, in this case Nell and Nat and the supporting cast. Friends, pass and present circumstances weave together to make this a novel you can’t put down.

As a long time fan of Annie Seaton, I was excited to read her latest book in the Pentecost Island series.
A tragic event causes Nell to withdraw from Nat in college. Now she needs his technical help with the resorts computer system and feels he can help her become more social. I love the way the characters are evolving with new friends and new loves.
Once again the Island is working it’s magic. Highly recommend.
This is Nell’s story. On the eco resort, she is the business manager making sure it all runs smoothly. Now there are problems with the computers and she goes to the mainland to find the computer guy. Imagine her shock when it’s Nat that opens the door to the computer shop. They were friends at university but then she learned about his reputation as a womanizer and she didn’t want to have anything to do with him. So will they get a second chance to start a romance? I enjoyed this sweet romance. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow. This book was totally not what I was expecting. It really dealt with a heavy topic, but I liked how the romance got woven in. There was definitely some humor and I loved seeing Pippa’s perspective sometimes.

I’m really enjoying reading about this area, the slang, the Aussie-ness and the people.
This centres around Nell and what makes her tick. I kinda saw it coming, why she changed but thought it was going to be worse. Nat is part of her healing, after they have a second chance a decade later.
The resort is coming together nicely, their lives are evolving and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
Great story, just dive on in and enjoy the ride.
Slow Start
This book is the first I have read by this author, so I have not read the other books in the series. The author starts with a look back to when the main characters knew each other at university, so I didn’t feel completely lost. I could tell, though, that I would probably appreciate the story better if I knew the entire stories of the other women that took place previously. I thought the book was a bit slow to start. It is a novella, so the author needs to get to the meet-cute quickly, or there isn’t enough space to develop the romance or the characters as they have to grow and change to accept that romance. The hero and heroine didn’t meet up in the present day until after the 20% mark. Since they have a complex history and the heroine has a lot to work out, I didn’t feel this gave enough time for the romance to properly build. The story, unfortunately, ends on a cliffhanger, which I am not a fan of. I honestly believe that authors should put that in book descriptions so those of us who don’t appreciate such things can skip the book. All in all, I thought this was a decent book that offered an interesting look at a place I have no clue about, but I just felt the characterization and plot lacked the space they needed because of a slow start.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.
This is another great part of the series and tells more of Nell’s backstory. It also gives us more of Pippa and the others as well. We end with another cliffhanger/not end of the story. These are short books and easy to read and tell bits in each of these girl’s story. Ned is a great guy and will be interesting to see how he does on the island.

I loved being back on Pentecost Island, I am loving this series MS Seaton writes stories that pull readers in with heartfelt emotions where we get to know the characters and make friends with them and this is Nell’s story and a moving one it is. It is time for Nell to open up about something that she has kept to herself for ten years and time to get back to who she really is with the help of Nat, and her best friends of course.
Nell O’Leary is running the accounting part of the resort her best friend Pippa is working to open very soon and the software system is not working and Nell is in a panic, so she leaves the island determined to find some help with a computer whiz no matter how hard it is for her and this person turns out to be Nathaniel Dwyer the guy she had a crush on at university before the thing happened and changed her life.
Nat is really shocked when Nell turns up on his doorstep to ask for help with a computer system, they have not seen each other for many years and their last encounter did not go down well, Nell used to be such a fun loving and beautiful girl who he had always wanted to get to know better now she seems scared and quiet, but when a storm hits and damages his house he is there for her and his past feelings for her are coming to the surface again.
This is a beautiful story, to see Nell with Nat’s help find herself again and find love that this beautiful woman had always deserved had me cheering and smiling, there were a few hurdles to get over first but get there they did is such a beautiful way. Of course it was lovely catching up with Pippa and Rafe, Tam, Evie, Eliza and Phillipe and the resort is close to opening and with such happy news, and of course I am now really looking forward to Tam’s story woohoo, thank MS Seaton for another fab story, I loved it.
Another great read from Annie Seaton, Can’t wait now for Tamsin’s story.
