Rebellious Fae (Book 2 of Fae Prison Academy) by Margo Ryerkerk is an awesome story to read. This is book number two out of three in this awesome series and I can not wait to read more. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances.

This novel has it all.
Love, temptation, hatred, kidnapping, magic and heartbreak. After the ending of the last book (which I found rather humorous — turning Thorsten into a Plant), I was glad that this novel had more of everything.
Nathan Bitterbay — what a fox. MEOW! I am loving the torment of him being under the King’s oath but knowing what is right and wrong and wanting to be with Virgie. His actual proposal made me teary.
I feel like Onyx is less in this novel even though she is still in a giant portion of it. I loved her stories at the Academy and seeing the worlds changing and progressing but really still keeping these particular Fae enslaved is hard to read but also interesting.
Rebellious Fae does a fantastic job of setting up the final war between the Summer and the Winter Courts. And the ending will have you reeling. I was not excepting it at all.
I am excited to see how Onyx gets herself out of this pickle and if she will have some unlikely help along the way.
The King has got to go, and I am excited to hopefully see his downfall.
Intense situations become volcanic while war seems inevitable and these brave characters explore every option they can to minimize the loss of innocent lives while striving for peace. A readers worst nightmare happens when you start getting engrossed into these characters. It’s the call for heroes, and you cringe every page turn knowing the author plans on making you want to throw things. Evil exists. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
This is book 2 of the Fae Prison Academy series. I thought the story had an interesting well written plot. The characters are well developed and likable. I love the book cover. I would recommend reading.

The story and situation gets crazier for Virgie as the King is aiming for War while she tries to stop it without being found out and losing her life. It had action, danger, betrayal, and subterfuge all wrapped into an addicting story that kept me reading to the end to see if Virgie would survive and succeed. Virgie is amazing along with the rest of the cast of characters that are all so amazing. With the twists and the ending I need the next one.
I am loving this series! Well written and with a fantastic collaboration of these authors this second book is every bit as good as the first and I am totally addicted! Fast paced this YA/New Adult fae academy prison story will have you on the edge of your seat as we wait to see if the king of summer will go to war with the queen of winter! There’s suspense, danger, romance and intrigue and let’s not forget the cliffhanger!!! Eagerly looking forward to book three!
War!!! Virgie is working to stop King Peter. He is getting crazier and crazier. But King Peter is smart and devious and their first attempt to release Thorsten fails. Now the only way to stop him is war with the Winter Court but they need to help Onyx. But will it be enough. King Peter seems over confident. What is he planning? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
Rebellious Fae is the second book in the Fae Prison Academy by Holly Hook and Margo Ryerkerk.
Thorsten was taking as an hostage by the King of the Summer court and the queen of Winter court will do anything to get her consort back even if it means war betweent both of the court. King Peter want war so he won’t be easy to negociate with him
Virgie will try to prevent the war to happens since fae could and will surely die on both side. She need to work in secret if she doesn’t want King Peter the discover her betrayal and she’s also trying to get Nathan to opens is eyes and see the king like he really is. It won’t be easy for him since he pledge his loyalty to him and it every time he goes againts his king it’s hurting him and could also end up killing him. The only way for him to unbound would be to one of the party to die.
As the war goes closer can’t Virgie and her friends find a way to free Thorsten and stop a war without paying for defying the King?
Ok, Rebellious Fae (Fae Prison Academy Book Two) has a frankly fabulous cover, but that’s not why I rushed to grab this book. And, ok, it’s written by Margo Ryerkerk and Holly Hook who are two of my absolute fave authors who consistently produce books that I love, but even that’s not why I rushed to grab this book. Nope, the reason was that I tried book 1, Reluctant Fae (I mean, c’mon, how could I resist a book by these two fabulous ladies), and it was so absolutely great that I became addicted and simply had to get this book. Luckily for me, Virgie’s story more that lived up to its expectations. Unluckily there’s a cliffhanger here at the end – but luckily (yes I’m emotionally swinging back and forward) this is a trilogy so I know a final conclusion is coming. I’m not a huge fan of cliffies, but for something this great? More than worth getting, and easy to highly recommend. Hmm, I guess that sometimes you CAN tell a book by its cover.
And the battle rages on. Using spies and resistance fighters within the Summer Court the game is on between Onyx of Winter Court and crazy King Peter of the Summer Court. More and more becoming aware of his decent into crazy. Can Virgie truly open Nathan’s eyes to who and what the king has become. Workings between the courts strengthen as they try to gain the upper hand. Can they bring freedom to both courts, or will the Winter Court go further into despair add the kings true allies are shockingly emerging. Join the battle for true freedom.
King Peter of the Summer Court has taken the Winter Court Queens’ consort Thorsten hostage. The Queen will do whatever it takes to get him back even if she has to freeze everyone in the Summer Court. The King knew that if he drew out the Queen’s consort that it would lead to war. But I think the King may have more than war on his plate for taking Thorsten.
Virgie feels responsible for allowing the king to take Onyx’s consort. Virgie takes action to get Thorsten back before war can break out between the Summer Fae and the Winter Fae. Virgie has a plan but there are a few people she must contact before her plan can be put into action. In the meantime she has to practice using her powers the powers that she is going to need when rescuing Thorsten and saving the Fae world from war and death.
Rebellious Fae is a fast paced and thrilling read that will pull you into its depths from the first page with all the action and suspense. The world building is so amazing that it just jumps off the page and into your mind until you are lost in its world and you are racing to the end right along with Virgie as she tries to save the Fae from the Summer Court King and imminent war. Oh and speaking of the ending that was one surprising twists that I wasn’t quiet expecting. I can’t wait for the next book Wrathful Fae coming June 2020 to see what Virgie has instore for us.
I highly recommend Rebellious Fae to all vampires, fae and magic fans. One click your copy today to begin this wonderful journey in the Fae world.
this series is fantastic and a must read.
Omg, Talk About Tension!! A Romantic But Fear Filled Read.
A 4.5 Star Read
(I was given a complimentary ARC of this e-book without any expectations placed upon me)
Rebellious Fae (Fae Prison Academy Book #2)
Oh wow, this was full of tension, fear & strengthening determination. Virgie & Nathan finally saw eye to eye on what King Peter was doing to the Summer Court. It draws them closer as friends but also romantically. Peony & Caleb are fully on board with trying to protect their Court too & bringing peace to the entire realm, even if it means working with the Winter Court, especially after the King’s betrayal of Thorsten!
This is a nail biting read. I was thoroughly gripped by this book, more so than book #1 I think. Its pace was rapid, storyline was tight & the characters, as always, fascinating! There are some awful surprises in store!! I can’t wait for book #3.
