This is such a good book!
If you loved read the Seabreeze Inn
series, you will love this new series!
It’s a feel-good & moving romance.
Marina, was completely humiliated
live on air durning the news. She has
had enough. Summer Beach
& her grandma, Ginger, is what she needs.
Jack, is a journalist. He taking a break
from his job & traveling the word.
It’s a summer they both will never forget.
Great characters & small town charm make
it the perfect summer read.
It grabbed me from the very first page!!
Marina’s career was sabotaged, she is now being sued because her former employer says she ruined the TV ratings, and she runs back to her favorite place….Summer Beach.
Marina needed the warmth and wise advice of her grandmother, but Ginger wasn’t there when she arrived. She was devastated, but she was happy to meet her old friends Ivy and Shelley at their bed and breakfast.
I was thrilled to see Ivy and Shelly again too because their story is wonderful and one not to miss in SEABREEZE INN.
Marina stays at Seabreeze Inn until her grandmother returns and then her sister arrives. The Moore sisters are the best of friends, and it is comforting to be back together again.
CORAL COTTAGE is charming and cozy and filled with love, family, secrets, and life changes.
Ms. Moran’s books always brighten my day because of the uplifting story line and the delightful characters.
You are happy for the characters, and the setting makes you feel as though you are on vacation and wishing you were spending time with the characters.
Put CORAL COTTAGE on your summer reading list, and virtually enjoy being with these women in a lovely cottage by the ocean, basking in their positivity and their happiness, and their delicious food. 5/5
This book was given to me by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Wonderful summer beach novel! Sisters Marina and Kai are visiting their grandmother at her Summer Beach cottage. While they are going through difficult changes in their lives, they have the opportunity to start exciting new paths. But they have to find the courage to move forward. The same is true for other characters in the story. There is a strong theme of family and love throughout the story.
I initially was wary of reading this book because I really enjoyed the Summer Beach books and thought that this would be a mere shadow of them. Instead, I like this a bit more. I got hooked on Marina as she is unexpectedly setup and then quits. She is in her mid-40s and now needs to reinvent her life by figuring out what she really wants to do. Her grandmother, Ginger, is not at home when she arrives, but we soon meet Ginger, her enigmatic grandmother. Is Jack right about Ginger?
In the previous books, the mystery surrounded a deceased woman. This time, Ginger is alive, in her 70s, and full of life. She has been fascinating Marina and her sisters with stories from her youth that kept them guessing. This kept that storyline interesting and with a twist.
Marina was trying to launch her new business, fight an attraction to Jack (also in his 40s), and provide for her kids in college. Then comes the announcement she was not expecting. I like how she handled it and how it affected the both young adults. The whole family ended up looking for new ways to be that matched who they really are.
The attraction between Marina and Jack starts off a bit antagonistic, but becomes an undeniable attraction. This is a sweet romance… so far. I cannot wait for more. Her two sisters arrive and add layers to the story. More romance to come.
Note: I received an advance reader copy; this is my honest review. I have purchased and read other books by this author.
Sometimes you just need to get away to rediscover yourself
Summer Beach: Coral Cottage is the first book in this series and is the story of Marina Moore and Jack Ventana. Both have found themselves in Summer Beach for different reasons but also closely the same. Marina is a woman who is at a precipice in her life and retreating to her grandmother’s cottage in Summer Beach is just the place she needs to rediscover herself. Let’s just say that her grandmother Ginger is more than fun and willing to kick some butt when needed. Jack has ended up in Summer Beach as his travels around the country, wandering anywhere the road takes him. This summer has the beginnings of some major life changes for both of them. Whether they do that together or not we will have to see.
BTW – Scout, Jack’s sweet and adorably cute dog steals the scenes when he shows up. You just have to love a cute pup who does the cutest things.
I enjoyed Coral Cottage and the fact that some of the Summer Beach series characters are crossing over. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, Coral Cafe.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This is my first time reading something by this author and I really enjoyed it. Marina is having problems with her job and she decides to escape for a while to her grandmother’s house in Summer Beach to figure things out. Jack is also taking a time out from his life and settling in Summer Beach fo a while. Many factors play into their lives. Family is also an integral part of this story .The book has a strong storyline and wonderful characters with such personality and depth that give them an authentic quality. You can’t help but fall in love with them. The story draws you in from the first page and does not let you go until you are done. A truly heartwarming story, and I highly recommend you pick this one up!

This is book one of the Coral Cottage at Summer Beach series. The main character, Marina Moore, has escaped her broken life in San Francisco, to her Grandmother Ginger’s beach cottage in Summer Beach, southern California. She had ended up as being the story herself, on the morning news show she was delivering on a TV station, KSFB. Her much younger, co-anchor Babe, was reporting on a gossip story about a young pop star’s new song and it link to a local architect to the stars. Only problem was, this was a bit too close to Marina’s real life and ended up with her losing her fiancé and her job! She has grown up children and was back in the dating game, but this latest news left her running for some comfort from family. Coming up to the cottage unexpectedly, she finds her gran is away and ends up staying with sisters Ivy and Shelly at the Seabreeze Inn.
She realises that she knows Ivy Bay, one of the sisters running the Inn, from her days surfing with other teens, whilst staying with her two sisters at their grandmothers. Now she has a huge choice to make. What should she do with her life? She has been told by her agent that she won’t get a job for at least six months or more, but with her twins both in college, she needs a good income and within a few months at most. She had thought of leaving her news anchor job to open a restaurant when with her fiancé, so she needs to rethink what she can do on her own now. While waiting for her gran’s return, she met one of the other guests at the Inn, Jack Ventana, an investigative reporter, who is somewhat secretive on what he is working on.
Jack has worked and lived alone for some two decades and now wants to put down some roots and Summer Beach might be the place! He has picked up a Labrador puppy and named him Scout, but now has a challenging dilemma which may change his life forever, after a call from an old colleague. He should be trying to get some ideas written down for some possible books, but he can’t think about that now. Marina has other matters to consider as her younger sister Kai suddenly arrives at the cottage as well, with some news of her own. In this book, they all have life decisions to make and the magic of Summer Beach is there to help them all. What might have been just a short holiday to get away, turns out for much longer and a bit of romance gets added in as well. The usual magic of Summer Beach and its residents, gets to work on everyone. Another fantastic read in the Summer Beach series and a great addition with its own linked series, I look forward to reading the next book, Coral Café. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
This book was as enjoyable as the three Seabreeze Inn stories. It was fun to see a few old friends as well as meet a bunch of new ones. Our heroine, Marina, has had a difficult life change so she travels to Summer Beach to visit Ginger, her grandmother.
There are a few quirky characters which I quite like. Having folks be too “normal” in fiction can become boring! These folks are certainly not that. I think a couple of small details were obvious as far as the outcome but there are still surprises to be had.
I look forward to reading the second which is way too long away!

This was such a fun Summer beach read and the funny thing is I was at the beach reading it this past week as well.
What I loved about this book is it’s real honestly, the characters could be your neighbors or even yourself.
I could definitely see these situations happening in real life and the character interaction was so charming.
I’d really love to go visit Summer Beach in Ginger’s beach house
and stay for awhile.
The main character has an unfortunate event happen to
her and she’s publicly humiliated.
The book has such a positive vibe to it though. We as women take care of others needs all the time and put ourselves last, thinking oh someday we’ll get to what makes us happy.
Bad luck turns into a positive thing as our main character has a career change she had been thinking of but had put off with the busyness of life.
I love seeing strong,positive women.
Very uplifting, positive and charming. A fun and entertaining book.
Can’t wait to read the next in the series!

What a great beach community. I want to go visit it and stay for awhile. All the characters were fascinating. Marina is a widow with twins in college. She is at a crossroad in her life. She goes to stay with her grandmother Ginger at Coral Cottage. Loved the comradity of her family and those around her. Jack and his pup Scout rent Ginger’s second beach house. Marina and Jack have a good chemistry but she is gun shy due to a bad relationship. Can’t wait to read about more of the characters.
