I’m about to marry my rival’s daughter just to get what I want.Except she’s all I really need. When I agree to marry Maggie Fyall, I don’t expect her to be drop dead gorgeous and sharp as a tack. I’m only taking her to make sure this business deal goes through. But as soon as I kiss Maggie up on that altar, I know I’m not letting her go.Her father owns a competing internet firm, and we want to … competing internet firm, and we want to merge our companies. But a bitter rivalry has left my board hating everything about this deal, and they’ll never agree to it without some persuasion.
Which is why I need to make Maggie mine. Together, we’ll convince my board that a merger is the only way forward.
And in the process, I’ll convince Maggie that every inch of her was meant for my pleasure.
She’s my little plaything. My perfect wife. And I’m going to possess her before this little fake marriage is through.
That’s right, another possessive romance! You might’ve noticed Maggie made her debut in the previous book, and now it’s time for her story. Possessive Fake Husband is a steamy romance with a little excitement, a little drama, and plenty of emotion. As always, there is no cliffhanger, no cheating, and a happily-ever-after guaranteed. Enjoy! XO BB

One hot merger!
This was another of B.B. Hamels spicy little treats featuring relatives of the wealthy Lofthouse family. Though her books are all stand-alone stories, since I have been reviewing her work for a while now, I have come to really enjoy the little thread that ties them all together. In this book it was Sylvia Lofthouse’s niece Maggie.
Maggie graduated from Harvard but hasn’t yet done anything with her life or degree when her father who owns a struggling mid sized Telecommunications company brings her to a party to meet Joshua Cork. Josh is the CEO Of Cork Electric which is also a mid sized Telecommunications company and her fathers largest competition. They want to merge the two companies to compete with larger companies which have been systematically buying out smaller companies.
The problem is that the members of the board at Cork Electric hate Maggie’s father since he and Josh‘s father had been in competition for so long. So they have a plan which includes Josh and Maggie getting married so then the merger would be like family combining companies and it might make the board more apt to approve it.
As Josh and Maggie work together to get board members on their side, they become closer and the marriage feels more real. B.B. Hamel is terrific at writing super steamy intimate scenes along with a great story and that was done particularly well here. These two crazy kids are five plus flames hot and Josh is quite a take charge kind of guy, which Maggie really seems to appreciate. I am liking these books more with every one I read!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
From fake to real
Maggie and Josh decide to join their tech companies to keep them competitive. Their fake marriage becomes so much more. However, the fight to keep their company alive shows their determination and faith in it and each other. Wonderful characters, story, and writing.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I never like when a story starts out with the Heroine, Maggie getting blindsided into a marriage of convenience in order to save her father’s company. Luckily, the Hero and Maggie’s husband, Josh turns out to be a man with some morals and ethnics. He also has very passionate feelings for his wife which, I absolutely love. I also appreciate how their relationship strengthens and builds as they work together with the business plan to merge each other family companies.
This is a fun and sexy read with an outstanding happy ending that is worth reading.
Yum!! Josh has taken over his fathers telecom company and is trying to make sure they stay in business for years to come. This is where Maggie comes in. Her father owns his competitor and neither want to be bought out by the big guys. Josh and her father come up with the idea of merging their companies, and that includes marrying Maggie! I love their story! What starts out as a mutually beneficial business agreement slowly turns into something neither was looking for, or thought they would ever have. If your a sucker for a brooding, smoking hot, alpha type husband than you will love this!
This is a well written flawless story which is Josh and Maggie’s story. Maggie is coerced into a fake marriage to save her dads business. Being together though feelings begin to develop, and many obstacles need to be overcome. This story has a tad drama, emotions, and is a steamy and all-consuming tale. I was hooked and intrigued throughout this addictive page turner and I highly recommend for all.
Thomas Fyall, brother to Sylvia Lofthouse and CEO of Bushings Telecom, and Joshua Cork, CEO of Cork Electric, have come up with a plan to merge their companies to survive and better compete in the marketplace. The biggest roadblock to the merger is the Board of Cork Electric who are still loyal to Josh’s father. Josh knows his only chance at getting the merger to go through is to marry Thomas’ daughter, Maggie. Maggie has recently graduated from Harvard with an English major and living at home with her father. Maggie attends a formal party with her father where Thomas and Josh tell her of their plan to save their companies. Maggie realizes that her father will lose his company without this merger and negotiates with Josh to get a piece of the company. The chemistry between Josh and Maggie is explosive and hot. The lines between fake and real become blurred as Josh and Maggie work to convince board members to vote for the merger. Can Josh and Maggie convince enough board members to agree to the merger? Will one board member stand in their way? Who do Josh and Maggie turn to as an investor to help with their plan? Will Maggie and Josh find their happily ever after? I love BB Hamel! Possessive Fake Husband is another fantastic book in the series of books about the Lofthouse family. Possessive Fake Husband is a great book with amazing characters. I would definitely recommend getting Possessive Fake Husband and any other book by BB Hamel. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
Josh is the CEO of Cork Electric and Maggie’s father is CEO of Bushings Telecom. They are both rather small companies and slowly but surely being swallowed up by the big boys. Josh and Maggie’s father cook up this idea for Maggie and Josh to marry to save their companies with a merger. When they spring it on her she is mad and then stops to listen. Showing she is beauty and brains she asks for a percentage of the new business shocking Josh with her business skills. Josh’s board wants nothing to do with a merger but if he can show them she’s not an enemy but family they will have to allow this right?? Wrong!!! While faking this happy little marriage we meet the board. Some are super nice and on their side, some are indifferent and some are plan ruthless. After feeling defeated they cook up another scheme all the while sparks are flying between them. Wait this is fake right. Both only want what is best for the companies. But is that all he wants, it’s all he wanted before. But now he doesn’t see how he can let her go. This is a truly steamy read.
Received as an ARC for my honest review.
