Tangled Fates (Tangled Magic Series Book 2)
By Denise D. Young
5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the story Tangled Fates (Tangled Magic Series Book 2) by Denise D. Young. It is a book that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Vivienne “Vi” Gearhart and Aiden McPherson. They are the main characters in this story. They are trying to find a way to break a curse that has sunk its teeth into the coven. What else will they learn about themselves along the way? What does the future hold for Vi and Aiden? Read this book to find out. The author does an amazing job of world-building. This story has magic, danger, a curse, and romance. Romantic scenes included in this story. The book is written in such a way that I felt like I was right there with the characters. I was hooked from the very beginning and found myself turning pages to find out what happens next. This is a story that I would recommend reading.
Tangled Fates is the second book in Denise Young’s Tangled Magic Series and a solid 4 star read, in my opinion. I did not read book one in the series (Tangled Roots) and while I was able to enjoy this book without having read it, I wish i had read the series in order. I am someone that loves witches and other paranormal elements and I was really drawn to the synopsis for Tangled Fates, even though my usual genre is more of the psychological thriller type. I am really happy I branched out, this book was a quick read with great characters that you feel as though you know personally. I really enjoyed how the author alternated perspective throughout the storytelling. Overall, this was a really fun, engaging read. It won’t be the last I read of Denise Young.
This is my first read from this author, and not knowing what to expect I couldn’t wait to dive in. This was a brilliant paranormal romance read that was captivating from the very beginning. With this being Book 2 in the series I expected to feel as though I missed out on somethings but this wasn’t the case, it flowed effortlessly and I enjoyed every bit of it. It’s a mental visual read that transports you into this world and makes you believe you are there alongside the characters and you are following their journey with them. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and can’t wait to go back and read book 1 and then see where the rest of the series goes!
Tangled Fates (Tangled Magic Series: Book 2) by Denise D. Young. This is the 2nd book in the series but can be read as a standalone. Its the story of Vivienne (Vi) Gearhart who is a fire witch and Aiden Mcpherson who is a fox shifter. They are working together to try to find a way to break a curse that has been put over the coven. When Aiden and Vi first meet she knew there was chemistry between them because she hadn’t felt that way in a long time. Aiden reaches out to Vi to help him find out who has put a curse on them and to break the curse. They find all kinds of adventures along the way including a little romance. This is set in their little coven which is like a sweet little town but Adien and Vi need to break this curse or this town will be destroyed. This book will grab you and not let you go until the very last word.
I give Tangled Fates (Tangled Magic Book 2) by Denise D. Young, 5 stars.
This is such a wonderful example of Paranormal Romance! I do not see fox shifters often in books, so I was really happy to see one here. Not to mention that Vi is also pretty unique. All of the characters in this story are good — they feel very real and relatable. This made a great story even more magical for me. I cannot wait to see more of these characters.
This is my first book in this series and I did not feel lost at all. The author lightly goes over what happened previously and even though I want to go back and read book one, I understood enough that it is not technically needed. Some authors do not do too well in this. This story itself grabbed me in the beginning of the book and I could not put it down until I was finished.
If you are a fan of Paranormal Romance with magical creatures and a story woven into the most captivating story, this book is for you.
Tangled Fates (Tangled Magic Book 2) by Denise D. Young is a great paranormal story that definitely drew me in. The story is filled with witches and shifters, magic and prophecy, portals and realms, evil and danger, drama and romance. It is a short story which is fast paced and an easy read. The intrigue kept me glued to the story which I finished in one sitting. I have not read the first book in the series but that didn’t pose a problem, I will be going back to read it and probably reread this one. I am curious to see what will come next.
4 stars!
This is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone, I was able to follow along easily but I will definitely be going back to check out the first book. In this book we meet Vi, a witch and Aiden, a fox shifter. Both are on a journey to break a curse within the coven. Aiden is put through some pretty intense things with his own family forcing him to drink a potion to hide his fox side, then on top of that he finds out his cousin Evan is in rough shape. He goes to the aid of his cousins Nick and Evan which is where he meets Vi. Vi feels somewhere inside her that her and Aiden have a connection, but it seems like she pushes him away for most of the book until finally that connection is brought to life. This story is magical, romantic, and crazy for what Aiden’s cousin’s family is doing and trying to do to their world. I can’t wait to see what will happen next in this series.
Denise D. Young knows how to pull a reader in and keep their attention! Tangled Fates is a stellar read that you won’t want to put down. The characters themselves have their stories and Young shows that no matter how different someone or something is, we can still believe in it. If you don’t believe in romance, then this book isn’t for you because the sparks fly and the danger is high. Get pulled in and you become part of the novel as if you are there and can see things.
Tangled Fates is the second novel in the Tangled Magic series by Denise D. Young. This is my first novel by this author.
Vivienne is a fire witch, living in Willow Creek, which is under a dark curse. Along with the fox shifter Aiden, in which there is an instant attraction, the two embark on a way to try to break the curse.
It’s been stressful the past few weeks with schools and this was a nice short break from reality to enjoy a short novel. I love romances and the mention of witches and shifters had me intrigued.
I was curious on how their relationship would develop as well as what secrets the two would find during the investigation.
I did not read the first novel but I wasn’t lost at all. I do wish this was longer, but it was great break from reading for school.
I look forward to reading the previous book and hopefully the next one if there is one.
I really enjoyed this book. Although I had not read the first book in this series, that did not prevent me from enjoying Tangled Fates. It was full of suspense, adventure, and love. Denise D. Young told a really good story. I could not put it down. I look forward to reading more from her.
Vi and Aiden are perhaps destined to be together in this world of magic or perhaps they can battle a bigger force than one another. Vi, a fire witch and Aiden, a fire shifter are caught up in a game of tug of war. Vi knows she has changes coming that threaten her coven because life hasn’t been easy for her.
Aiden comes seeking answers from Vi but this shakes something up her world in a lot of ways. This book is steamy, intense, and action-packed. This is a gorgeous read and unpredictable. I couldn’t get enough. I enjoyed this one just as much as the first!
Tangled Fates. By Denise D. Young. (Tangled Magic book 2)
Wow this was amazing, it didn’t feel like it was just over a hundred pages, so much was packed into this story it felt like a full length book. Denise is such a talented author, I was pulled in from the first page and gripped all the way through. So I started on book 2 and followed along with ease, I will be going back to read the first book though as I have lots of questions. This story follows Vi and Aidans stories and both characters are very likeable. Looking forward to following this series to the end.
What a fascinating world Young put together! I didn’t enter this with any expectations and hadn’t previously read book one in the series. But I didn’t feel behind or at a loss. I loved the world I entered in these pages and get transported immediately. This book left me wanting more. I will definitely be going back to enjoy book one!
This is is a magical series which Denise graps you into. Aiden is a shifter. This book is good for a young adult and a person who first reading about shape shifters as its an easy Introduction to this genre.

4 Stars!!!!
What more can you ask for with a supernatural romance with action and adventure. I was very much hooked to this book from page one. The author has such a refreshing style. The reader is grabbed and dropped right into the thick of it. The characters come to life and one feels as though you are right there in the adventure with them.
Vivienne and Aiden just have such an electric connection. I loved seeing how they each discover themselves as well as each other. There is just the right amount of drama and romance to keep you entertained. I really like how the author leaves it open for the series to continue. Fantasy type romances are my favourite especially with shifters and witches in them. I look forward to reading more from this author and this series.

“From out of mist are wild things born.
Seek the truth beyond the thorn.
Where curses lurk and kin reside,
Fox and fire stem the tide.”
“Do you have faith in magic?” he asked.
My heart pounded in my chest. I fingered the rose quartz pendant with my rain-soaked, sweaty fingers. “I…” I stammered but pressed on. “Of all the things in my life, magic is the one constant.” There. I admitted it. Out loud. First time ever.
His outstretched hand waited….
Tangled Fates is the second book in the Tangled Magic series by Denise D. Young. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Young, so I really didn’t know what to expect going in. I was drawn to the book by the beautiful cover and intriguing blurb. But Ms. Young had me hooked at the mention of witch and fox shifter.
I love a great paranormal story- and this book definitely cast its spell over me. Even though it is the second book in the series, that wasn’t a problem as I was able to follow the story easily. But, as the events from book one seem to have caused far reaching issues and had led to the events in this book, so I will definitely be going back to read the first book to see where everything started.
This book follows different leading characters than in the first book. We meet Vivienne (Vi) who is a fire witch, and Aiden McPherson who is a fox-shifter. They lead us on an adventure filled with magic, potions, curses, small town charm, prophecy/mystical riddles, different realms, portals, secrets, sparks/chemistry, evil, danger, drama, paranormal events and characters, romance, and more.
This is a fast-paced short story which made it a very quick and easy read. It kept me engaged the whole way through, and intrigued me into wanting to know more about the Tangled Magic world. I will definitely be following the rest of the series!
Thank you, Denise D. Young!
This is the second book of the Tangled Magic Series from Denise D. Young, and also my first read by her. I had no issues with not having read the first book yet, but now that I have read and enjoyed the second I may just go back and check out book one.
In this one we find Aiden and Vivienne as the main characters, and they are thrust smack dab in the middle of a mess of things. The land they live in Willow Creek is under a dark curse that threatens the magic of the entirety of magic there. Will these two be able to withstand the trials of what is going on around them and find a spark to keep their love alive in the chaos?
I loved how this book took me away to a far away magical place that felt very real and tangible to me after reading the book. I didn’t even know how quickly I had become engrossed in this novel that I ended up reading well into the early hours of the morning to find out how things would turn out in the end. I am curious to see what will come next and if there is more to this series to come!
Tangled Fates by Denise D. Young is the second book in the Tangled Magic series. This book is ideally best read in order but it can be read in its own.
The book was engaging from the moment I started reading it. It was so easy to fall back into Vi and Aiden’s story. The author writes in such a way that it feels like you in their journey with them.
As with the previous book this one was well written and well paced. The author knows exactly when to build up the story, when to add in the excitement and when to throw in a little romance. This is a great book and I am looking forward to seeing what is next.

This is the first book that I have read from this author. Although it’s the second in the series, I wasn’t lost at all. This story is mainly about Vivienne and Aiden. It seems mistakes were made in the first part and it’s up to Vi and Aiden to try to right the wrongs of the past. A curse has fallen upon the coven. All of magic is in jeopardy in Willow Creek. The winds are changing and a darkness is coming. They need to unlock the secrets of their own magic for the upcoming battle. Are they destined to be together or will the evil keep them apart?
The story is filled with danger, magic and romance. I was so engrossed in the story, I didn’t realize how fast I read it. The author pulls you into an enchanting world that will keep you on your toes. I loved the characters and the story. I will definitely be looking for part three.
Second book in the Tangled Magic series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Vivienne “Vi” Gearhart a witch by birth and fox shifter Aiden McPherson’s story there is suspense, drama, danger, a curse, evil, twists, turns, and a romance. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
