Ashlee weaves a suspenseful tale with a second chance romance
I have read so many of Ashlee’s books as just love the steam level and the characters who fight their attraction to one another for all the wrong reasons. Leo has always been attracted to Jodie while growing up, but his teasing manner did everything to drive Jodie away and towards his twin Antonio. Fast forward thirteen years, and the attraction is still live and well after Jodie’s father passes. Jodie drinks herself in to a drunken state after her father’s funeral, so when Leo appears to offer his condolences, Jodie avails herself of Leo’s presence. The two come to an agreement to work the case that caused her father’s death, yet they continue to hurt one another. How will it all end with the plot twists on each of their parent’s deaths? You have to read to find out and won’t put the book down until you turn the last page
This is the second book in this series and it is so good. Leo has always wanted Jodie, but she always wanted his twin, Antonio. Now Antonio is dead and Leo still wants her. He does show that he has grown up since being the angry troublemaker he used to be. There is lots of action, suspense, secrets revealed and some twists and turns. I don’t want to give too much away. You just need to read this book to get your answers. I really love this series and Ashlee will pull you in and twists you up and going OMGosh!!
Hate to Love……..with murder and mystery along the way
Leo is the second book in the Underworld Mafia Romance series and is the story of Leo and Jodie. This book is filled with lots of romance, action, drama, violence, secrets, deception and some sexy times. Jodie’s father has been murdered and she is determined to find out who is responsible when she comes home to bury him. She, Leo and Leo’s twin brother Antonio had all been friends having grown up together. But Jodie never liked Leo because he would always teased her. Instead she fell in love with Antonio. But things do not work out well as years ago Antonio was killed which broke her heart but also put a great burden of guilt on Leo as Antonio had taken his place on the job that he was killed doing. But now they will have to work together to find her father’s killer and he must also keep her safe. With
This book is well written with a great story-line that has a lot going on which kept my interest as the twists and turns just kept going. The hate to love story is gradual and sizzling hot. I did want to hit Leo at one point for something that happened which he knew was so wrong. But in the end he does redeem himself and there is a HEA.
Compelling, intriguing & so much more…
The blurb & previous reviews have outlined the story so I won’t go into that. This was one of those rare finds that grab you from the get go & then when you feel like your nails might rip from your fingers holding on so tight with the reality of the rawness & the brutal truth you eventually breathe a sigh of relief when there’s so much more than tender caring. Fireworks explode, even with all the real danger still surrounding them as they seek the truth whilst experiencing a passion neither of them can deny. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
I enjoyed this exciting, action-packed romance. Jodie and Leo’s story quickly grabs your attention as their story begins to unfold. Aside from lots of action you can expect plenty of intense emotion, tension, turmoil, danger, suspense and some big twists. All together a really good read. I am posting an independent, impartial review.
