We agreed to bend the rules, just for one night. We needed to satisfy our curiosity and to cut some of the sweet, pent up tension.
But there was no going back to normal since that night. I refused to cave into feelings fueled by desire. Yet, I lost Chloe somehow, even while trying to preserve our friendship.
Now she’s moving on with some no-good jerk. And that no-good jerk is trying to kiss my Clo.
I might not be Chloe’s best friend anymore, but I am her man.

Love Was Worth The Wait
Childhood friendships are part of what comprises the fond memories of everyone’s past. And sometimes, those friendships morph into secret, young crushes just waiting—with both fear and joy—to become a fully evolved adult love. But what is the cost of nudging the friendship into a sexual relationship? What if stepping over the line from friend to lover destroys everything? Is physical romance—sex—worth the cost of friendship?
Chloe Rosen and Zachary Brocker have been best friends forever. The fact that Chloe was female and Zach was male didn’t even register until at about 14, physical changes made the gender differences obvious. The two worked to successfully maintain their friendship at the expense of growing sexual awareness until they had a personal encounter that rippled through their families. And, the two separately came to the same decision—friendship was more important than the exploration of a sexual relationship. Being more than friends was a secret desire, but secondary to maintaining the friendship.
Now as 28-year-old adults who parted ways for college and the years of young adulthood which provided each individual with opportunities of growing up sexually, they have migrated back home to Clear Creek. Now, the two friends-not-lovers are sharing an apartment, and as each reaches a point of evaluating the future, the past and present begin to merge as past secrets and desires are acknowledged and explored under the watchful eyes of supportive and cheering friends and family.
The story of Chloe and Zach in Accidentally Divine brings to a close the antics of the Brocker Brothers, each brother finding his path and his love with the support and cheers of family and friends. This was my introduction to the Brocker Boys and it was delightful. I look forward to going back and meeting Zachary’s older brothers as they also search for love.
I received an ARC copy of the novel through Booksprout, but I enjoyed it so much that I bought a copy with the intentions of creating a Brocker collection!
Gotta LOVE the Brocker Brothers. Zach and Chloe, best friends with a secret love for each other.
5++ stars
Zach and Chloe have been best friends since they were kids. Not wanting to lose that friendship, they have never acted on their true feelings for each other. It seems that all his brothers, their girlfriends and friends know that they care for each other more than being just friends.
After an incident in their teens, they broke in to a lake house that Chloe loves. She disappears for the summer and Zach has no idea where she went. The mystery of that time continues till adulthood.
He’s heart broken that she is gone. When she returns, he notices that she has changed as well as their close feelings for each other.
Chloe is offered a job by her best friend that comes with quite a bit of money which she needs to fulfill her dream.
Zach gets jealous when someone Chloe went on a date once comes around to their home and leaves some gifts for her.
Zach’s brothers run a family business that they want him to become a part of it. I love the camaraderie between the brothers. They pick on each other and they have you laughing at their brotherly antics.
Zach finally goes through an eye opener experience that he finally admits he needs to make changes to complete his dream of living in Clear Creek, be a part of the family business, get married, have kids with the woman that he loves, get the lake house and become the man that his love needs.
Such a wonderful book to read. Jenn Sable did an awesome job in writing this book. So many emotions tied to it, you’ll be laughing, tearing up, experiencing the heat between Zach and Chloe and so much more.

This is my first Jenn Sable book and I have to say that I look forward to reading more. This book made me laugh and gave me some what are they doing moments. Once I started reading, I didn’t put it down until I was done. I was intrigued from the start to read about the history between Chloe and Zach; and of course to see how they would get to the end. There were a couple of surprise moments that made me smile wide. Kudos to Jenn for her ability to write a great story, I can’t wait to read more.

Zach Brocker and Chleo Rosen had been childhood playmates. They agreed to remain platonic lifelong friends until one day, that is just not enough.
Read and find out how this couple makes that awkward transition to something more.
I received a free ARC copy of this light-hearted adult-themed romp.
This is Book 5 in a series about the Brocker brothers but it’s my first by this author. I liked this author’s writing and found her main characters complicated and likeable. The large cast of surrounding characters are also well written and help to move this story along with lots of humor, wit, angst and heat. I will most definitely be reading the rest of this series although this one more than succeeded as a stand alone. Highly recommend.
