Wes and Kristin’s lives have changed as they now are a family of 4 with the addition of their bundle of joy, Molly and Wes’ teenage daughter, Izzy. Wes is an ex baseball player and he and Kristin are literally thrown a couple curve-ball’s in this book. Let’s talk drama… in the form of the ex wife and she’s a doozie!! Great book, Awesome series, buy it now, so worth it! I enjoyed the end of the book reading about Izzie and hope she gets to tell her story soon.

We continue Wed and Kristen’s story as things start to take twist and turns.
This sweet romance is not without its own challenges and drama, such as new addition to the family, dealing with a teenager’s trails and emotions and other family drams.
Through everything they had the strength of each other and the help of others lead them to find their happiness.

4.4 stars
This is the third book in The Home Stand Series and it is not a standalone. It follows the lives of Wes, a professional baseball player, and Kristin, a librarian, and how they are dealing with their lives in terms of career and family. It comes across as a sweet romance with some additional challenges that lend to some interesting obstacles for the main characters. The saving grace is the rapport between Wes and Kristin and their honest communication that get them through the tough times. Overall, this is an enjoyable small-town romance read with intrigue, drama and some poignant moments. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Curveball hit all the marks this time! Romance, intrigue, suspense and swoon-worthy moments! I loved getting pieces of not only Wes and Kristin’s story but also Izzy as well! A great read for sure!!

I loved this book! The story of Wes and Kristen continues in this book and it is full of lots of twists and turns! After the birth of their daughter, Molly, things around the Martin house are a little chaotic. When Kristen needs emergency surgery, the couple is forced to hire a nanny to care for Molly. This brings Melissa into their home and their family. She proves to be both friend and confidant to Izzy as things with her friends, her boyfriend and her mother blow up around her. Rachel, Izzy’s mother, shows up out of the blue after Izzy turns 18 and her reasons are less than pure. She begins to cause trouble for the Martins from the minute she shows up. When Wes finally learns that she is in town and has been seeing Izzy for several weeks, things go from bad to worse. Before he knows it, his daughter has left the house, he’s being served with a court order and his life is on the verge of exploding. Izzy soon learns more about her mother than she ever wanted to when she learns what her mother plans for Izzy and the rest of the family. In the end, a new prospect for Wes’s baseball team steps in to save Izzy and the day and allows for the Martin family to move past Rachel’s schemes and on to their future and happily ever after, together.

FABULOUS READ!! This standalone book is the third book in its series. Wes and Kristen, the main characters in this book, fall in love and I guarantee you will fall in love with them too. The author has developed these two characters into people all readers can relate to. They have fallen in love, plan to marry, raising a teenage daughter in addition to the excitement and sleepless nights that a newborn brings to the family. With the Martin Family you will experience the hardships of being working parents, the joys and struggles of raising a teenager and a newborn, new friendships and the solid ties of family. With all the curveballs Wes and Kristen are thrown, the suspense as the family drama played out kept me turning pages! Intwined with all that drama is such a beautiful romance story.

I was happy that we got more of the Martin family and even if this one was drama packed I really liked getting Izzy’s POV throughout too. She is growing up and experiencing tough times as a teenager with an overbearing dad, boyfriend, issues, and family drama she struggles. I hated that poor Wes and Kristen was dragged through more drama because they have struggled to get where they are and it hurt to see they didn’t immediately get their hea but the extra drama and stress made the story seem more realistic in my eyes. I was happy with how it all worked out and man Joe stole my heart.
This is book 3 in The Home Stand series and we are continuing with Wes and Kristen’s story. A lot of the story features Izzy’s journey into adulthood. The first 60% or so of this book is really just day-to-day living in the Martin household. I kept reading, waiting for something exciting to happen and although not exciting, the drama eventually started. I love reading about Wes and Kristen but more than half of this book was unnecessary filler story.
Good but overly long
Curveball is the third book in The Home Stand Series by Lacy Hart. It is the story of Kristen and Wes and his daughter Izzy. I was a little confused by this story as it was not what I had expected it to be based on the book description. It is not that I did not enjoy the story as I did for the most part. But I had not expected a few things and in the end I was left unsure about what the actual main focus really was. With that being said I found myself skimming a large part of the book and also skipping pages. I like the author’s writing but sometimes it can be way too detail focused and goes on and on. For me this book would have been a better read if there were trimmed by at least a third and I don’t believe the reader would lose anything from the story.
In the end I thought this was a good book just not what I was expecting.
