Harvey Beckett is not a fan of murder. Not at all. But she’d be lying if she said she didn’t enjoy solving one.
In this three-book box set that includes the first three books in the St. Marin’s Cozy Mystery Series, meet Harvey and tag along as her unending curiosity gets her involved with solving three murders in her small Maryland town. Get to know her dog Mayhem and her cat Aslan as well as … Mayhem and her cat Aslan as well as the kind, handsome mechanic Daniel and his dog Taco. Plus hang out in Harvey’s brand-new bookstore with her friends.
If you enjoy cozy mysteries with dogs, great food, and quaint but quirky characters, the St. Marin’s Cozy Mystery Series is written just for you. Pick up the first three books in the series here.
These books address issues of social justice, both in terms of the plot and the writing style.

I liked this book – I used to live on the eastern shore and recognized all the places. The characters are likeable and the writing and descriptions are both excellent.
One thing was a bit jarring, and that was that it took political correctness to an extreme. That aside, I can really recommend this auther – she bring characters to life.
Looking forward to the next books in this series. Have already preordered the next two.
If you love books and don’t mind cozy mysteries this is a great series taking place in an up and coming small bookstore along the eastern shore of Maryland. So many wonderful books are mentioned and some I chose to add to my reading list.
Loved the characters. Enjoyed reading them. Great reading for this time in our lives.
Fun, Fun easy to read cozy mysteries with engaging characters.
A great who dun it mysteries. I loved the characters. A real page turner from start to finish.
Cute series, but a bit too much social justice and focus on gay rights, racism, etc. Every character had to be described as white, black, asian, etc. It didn’t seem natural.
I love these books. Have purchased the next one in the series. The characters are real and down to earth. I also have always wanted to own a bookstore, but since I don’t, the next best thing is reading stories set in bookstores.
easy read when in lockdown and inexpensive, too!
Loved this! Enjoyed the characters, the values and the book recommendations!
I am opposed to authors who sneak in lifestyles that I don’t agree with, hoping to make the reader more open to wrong values.
Reading a book set of Cozy Mysteries is a nice change of pace to romantic suspense, fantasy and paranormal romance. When that box set features Maryland shore, a small town bookstore and lots of dogs, it’s even better! ACF Bookens, really understands the mind of a bookworm. She writes in such a way that a person literally disappears into the story, transported through words to the Chesapeake Bay area and a cozy bookstore with quirky neighbors, shop owners, and family. Her main character, Harvey Beckett, the bookstore owner is a woman, I could easily picture as one of my best friends. Her supporting cast of characters from Harvey’s best friend, Mart, and her love interest Daniel, to. every friend you are introduced to as time moves on in St. Marin, make you feel as though you are surrounded by love and goodwill. I can see why all of Harvey’s West Coast friends move to St. Marin. I wanted to move there by the time I finished book 1! Though as with all cozy mysteries one has to wonder how such an idllyic town could have so much violent crime! In a town where the village grapevine knows things about you, even before you do, how can anyone hope to get away with murder. And the only luck the poor town sheriff has with his deputies is bad luck! Yet I think the icing on the cake has to be all the great book recommendations that Ms. Bookens includes in each of her novels. If I can ever get through my to be read list, I will be picking up book 4-6 of ACF Bookens St. Marin series!
Lived where it is set and liked that it reflect St Marins, aka St Michaels MD pretty well good cozy mystery.
Great series and the interaction between characters provides a nice sidebar.
