Bunny
Performing. That’s my entire life. It’s the one thing that gives me some sort of independence from my father. So, I do it. Without fail. I get up on stage because I don’t really have any other choice. My life consists of me acting as though I’m a living doll whose strings are pulled in perfect timing. Lately, my performances feel the same. Night after night, I dance and play for a crowd … that will never know who I really am. Being on stage should give me a buffer, make me somehow safe. But it doesn’t. Danger comes in the form of a supposed admirer, one who seeks to own me, to make me his real-life doll. I fear that’s all I’ll ever be until a stranger intervenes and encourages me to be who I really am.
Jameson
The arts and dancing aren’t exactly high on my list of priorities, but my mother loves ballet and music. Being the loving son that I am, I take her to the finest show that’s ever come to town. At first, I’m bored, the same way I usually am when I’m around wealthy crowds. I’m not one that likes to flaunt what I have. My time is much better spent on my ranch, taking care of my land. My boredom comes to an abrupt halt when I see the star of the show and realize right away she’s more than that—she’s the star of my life. But loving a woman like Bunny Rose isn’t free of complications. Her sweetness attracts far too many wasps, and I’ll crush any who seek to sting the soft, naïve dancer who stole my heart.
more
Honestly, I wish this book was more about the story and less about Bunny and Jameson getting it on.
There’s so much left open that could’ve been put into this to make the story better…
For instance, Michael, the stalker, it’s mentioned he’s done this before to other women. Was it only the stalking like with Bunny or worse? Why did he develop an obsession over Bunny? What is it that Michael’s family has their fingers in that made Jameson think it wasn’t anything good? What happened to Bunny’s mother? Was her father always so emotionally distant/abusive towards her?
These are things I really would’ve liked to know more about…Not the constant sex and not being able to keep their hands off each other.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book**
Another fabulous read, a guaranteed happily ever after that has every element you could possibly want in your romance read.
Jameson has no idea accompanying his mother to the theatre would lead to finding his forever. But that’s what happens when Bunny walks out to perform. He found what he didn’t even know he needed.
Bunny has never had anyone want her for her. She’s lonely. But that’s about to change when she sees Jameson for the first time.
These two are super sweet. And the smouldering chemistry they give off is hot.
No cheating. No drama, well only the good kind.Just a man who knows what he wants and will stop at nothing making her his forever
An automatic one click for me when Lucy’s name pops up.
I LOVED THIS STORY!! It was original as well as, entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and well developed.
Bunny is a very talented woman. She dances and plays the violin during her performances and while it gave her independence from her father, it’s also the only thing in her life. Bunny is ready to put down roots, she just isn’t sure where or how. While performing she feels something deep inside and lets it take her where it leads. When Bunny opens her eyes, she sees him.
Jameson is a rancher. He’s wealthy but isn’t flashy about it. Jameson’s mom loves the arts and when she wanted to go see a certain ballet, he made sure to get her tickets and even attended with her. His mom tells him that he will be blown away once he sees Bunny Rose perform. Jameson should have known that his mom is never wrong.
There are so many feels with this story and so much that I loved about it. The way Jameson and Bunny were connected was so sweet. There are definitely steamy parts. I felt like there was very little angst even with everything going on around Bunny. Jameson’s mom was a major highlight as was PJ and her protectiveness and friendship with Bunny. YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK!
This was a sweet beautiful read about Bunny and Jameson. Without seeing each other they felt a connection right away. This was definitely instalove and so very instahot. Their chemistry was off the charts. I couldn’t stop reading until I finished this wonderful, yummy, beautiful love story. Lucy Darling has a wonderful way with words for beautiful love stories. Can’t wait to read more.
I love these sweet and to the point short stories.
Great story.
I read an advanced copy of this book.
A lovely little romance between a prodigy dancer and a rich cowboy. I can count on this kind of story for a sweet heroine in need of love, a grumpy alpha male who turns all sweet and possessive over his one true love, and some delicious bedtime wrapped in cuddles, food and cute talks.
I really liked when they meet which happens in a posh event and feels like a magical phenomenon for Bunny and Jameson. Love strikes in earnest. Then it’s all insta-love, insta-care and insta-go-home-with-meand-never-leave.
This cowboy sure knows how to romance and protect his lady. He gives her all his attention, never wavering, and a home and a family that she sorely needed. A little bit of danger, some funny animals and a ranch full of possibilities complete this ride into happiness.
I always appreciate the epilogues and the way the next couple is introduced. Really adorable.
