Dealing with Traffic Court for a ticket that wasn’t even my fault shouldn’t have had such an impact. As soon as my eyes snagged on the dark, brooding stranger I had to know him. Talk to him. A compulsion, almost, to make him smile. I don’t expect to see him again until suddenly there he is saving me. From life and even myself. Hope he’s ready for one hell of a ride with danger.
Beware book has … danger.
Beware book has references to abuse, suicide and drugs.

Right off the bat, I love the FMC who is down to earth, and highly relatable. It gets dark, and I feel this is fairly well done. The author does a good job of portraying an abused, suicidal character and giving me others I just love to hate.
I would read on in this series and absolutely will explore more from this author.
I could’ve done without the double-narration, as in, reading the same exact thing twice, once in each MC’s POV. That takes a bit of getting used to, and a few incidences of poor grammar briefly distracted me at times, however the content is still enjoyable, overall.
3.5 stars
Note:
Audiobook performance is great, good voices. The single-narrator/female-covering the male’s parts took a little getting used to but sounds perfectly fine, once sped up (she speaks verrryyy sloowwwlyyyy). 4-star performance.
Hard for me to get into. I really didn’t like FMC for awhile but it evened put in the end. The make lead is a doll though, I’d bring him home any day. Overall a decent read.

I enjoyed this story, it’s got a few twists and turns that will keep you reading.
I wasn’t too sure when I started this book if I was going to like Izzy, she seemed like a spoilt little rich girl being rebellious against he parents but once you got deeper into the story, you realised why she acts the way she does.
Ryker is really likeable and is a good guy at heart who’s found himself in a bad situation and having to do questionable things but has made the best out of it that he can.
The end of the book gets really interesting and I can’t wait to see where Izzy and Ryker go next, they definitely have a lot more of their own stories to tell, along with Zoe and Remi.
Isabella (FMC) should be happy with the life she has. Rich, popular and pretty she has everything but that’s all superficial. She’s not seen as the person she is by anyone but her friend Remi. I really liked this sweet guy and at least Issy had one person to rely on. That is until a chance encounter with a guy – Ryker when they were both in court (the Banter between the two of them had me cracking up). The relationship between Issy and Ryker is certainly a Steamy one but it’s also a caring one too even if they do come from two different worlds. One from money and one without. Both have difficult home lifes too but Issy’s one is abusive and that in turn leads her on a path of destructive behaviour. Some that made my heart hurt for Issy. It was sad to read but boy was it worth it. Just a brilliant read and I can’t wait for Remi’s book
Such a great start to a series! I loved everything about it. The FMC Isabella aka Issy makes me laugh and cry through out the book. She’s incredibly outgoing and her personality makes you laugh and smirk at the same time. From the outside it looks like she has a perfect life- rich family. Not everything is as it seems though. Her journey made me angry and sad and happy all at the same time in this rollercoaster of emotions. Enter Ryker!! A chance meeting has Issy meeting Ryker the brooding bad boy, a chance encounter at the court house of all places. Two seemingly different people with different lives but the same needs at the end of the day- just to be loved. With ups and downs and bad decisions this book just tears at your heart!! Such a great read and I can’t wait to read more!!!!!!!!! Those pick up lines though loved them so much haha
