My mother traded me for gold, and now three men have come to claim their prize… free. Unfortunately, I didn’t know his debts were given to his handsome sons, and that there are consequences if they don’t collect.
Three years ago I escaped those men, but they’ve found me again. And this time, their desire to own me has become personal. Apparently, they want to leave me begging for more than just my freedom.
SPIN MY GOLD is an RH standalone fantasy romance and part of the Once Upon A Fairy Tale Night Series, a collection of multi-author fairy tale romance retellings.

I’ve always had mixed emotions about the retelling of fairytales as I’ve grown older. Some are still the Disney hearts and flowers retelling that tend to make me nod off or skim over until I can find a part in the book that takes my interest and pick up from there. Not with “Spin my Gold” by Lacey Carter Anderson! Her retelling of Rumpelstiltskin pulled me in from the beginning and wouldn’t let go. He’s died and left all his fortune and outstanding debts to his three sons, Crax, Hyde, and Zard. One of those debts is a woman named Alexis who has been sold to their father by her mother. Crazy huh? Each in their own way, these four individuals are broken from their pasts but eventually find a way to come together but the twists and turns of the storyline and plot could shatter everything they’ve been working towards. It’s heartbreaking and heartwarming but Lacey Carter Anderson has weaved a tale that pulled me in and let me become a part of each interaction. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Spin My Gold by Lacey Carter Andersen is a great story that I have read. This is a great story that I have loved reading it is a reverse harem and I love reading stories like this. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about reverse harem and paranormal romances.

Fairy tales are full of stories where someone sells their first born for fame, riches and the love of the prince, but what happens to the first born?
Alexis’s mother sold her to Rumplestiltskin for fame and riches, but she escaped rather than accept her fate. Now she’s back and faced, not with Rumple, but his three sons. They’ve reluctantly taken over the family business, which includes Alexis among its assets.
I love fairy tale retellings and reimaginings, and this one is a unique twist! It’s first in a series, and I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes next!
This is an entirely new take on the Rumpelstiltskin fairy tale with manages to create a fantasy reverse harem story. I read the description of the book and didn’t know what to expect, but this was not it. But I don’t mean that as a negative. The story is well written, easy to read and surprising in the twists put on the old tale. I like the way the story is woven and the characters that are used to bring the story to life, but I did find the entire thing to have a bit too much angst for my personal tastes. It made for an interesting read, but I generally read for escapism and this was sometimes more (and less) than I was looking for.
Nevertheless, I do like a good twist on the old tales and to those that like a little angst, this should be a wonderful read.

Alexis (otherwise known as Goldie) is “owned” by brothers Crax, Hyde and Zard Stiltskin, due to a bargain made with their father, Rumple Stiltskin, by her own mother, who sold her to Rumple in exchange for wealth and beauty. Despite being owned, as expected in a reverse harem story, Alexis soon has the brothers lusting after her, and vice versa. Soon hugs and kisses lead to hot, passionate sex. To get her freedom, Alexis is helping the brothers collect the debts owed by others who made a deal with Rumple. Things get complicated when the deal made by Alesis’ best friend is regretted and reneged on. Not a cliffhanger, but “To be continued”…
I love fairytale retellings and this book did not disappoint. This is a Rumpelstiltskin retelling. I thought the story had a great flow and character work. Both are well written and pull you onto the story. I would recommend reading.

A lifetime debt? Alexis’ mother sold her to Rumpelstilskin before she was born. At eighteen she ran away instead of being his slave. Now he’s dead and his three sons own all of the debts owed to their father. If they don’t collect they will be hurt so they must persevere even though it is abhorrent to them. She comes back to her home town to attend her best friend’s funeral in secret, but the brothers find her. Now in order to reduce her debt from a lifetime to the time it takes for the brother to collect all of their father’s debts, she has to help them. But one of the debts involves a friend. She has made a promise to the three men she is growing fond of, and to lie to them could negate her new agreement. What does she do? I am not a great fan of Fairy-tale re-telling’s and normally avoid them and just the name Rumpelstiltskin sends cold shivers down my spine. Luckily for me he’s dead and this is more about his 3 sons and Alexis who is left to them. If you can get past that issue of a person being owned than the storey is a rather brilliant modern retelling of this dark Fairy-tale.
Dark and twisted with lots of angst, heart-breaking in places and endearing in others. So many twists and turns that you are kept interested from start to finish.
Wonderful storey telling with the brilliant world building and character development could only come from this great author pairing.
Loved this retelling of Rumpelstiltskin and the reverse harem theme adds a little nice twist to it. This is a little dark but so good. Alexis and the guys are all running from different things and have their own demons. The dynamics is amazing. The only thing that left me with my mouth gaping open was that there is a cliffhanger so we have to wait for the next book to know what happens next.
Spin My Gold is a reverse harem, adult retelling of the Rumpelstiltskin fairy tale. Alexis is forced to pay her money hungry mom’s debt and the three sons of Rumpelstiltskin, after his death, are forced to collect all the debts owed to their father. This is a well written story with well developed characters, drama, suspense, twists, steam and an ending that left me wanting more.
This is an amazing twist on an old classic! It’s well written with quirky characters and a fan-freaking-tastic story!! I’m eager to see what’s next for our girl and her men!!! Fabulous job!!
*Spoiler Alert*
When Rumplestiltskin dies his 3 sons – Hyde, Crax and Zard are tasked to recover all of his debts owed to him. Only one debt (which is owning Alexis (FMC) is a particularly tricky debt to collect. Until they finally catch up with her and give her a deal thats too good to be true but having her around brings its own problems. I loved the dynamic between Alexis and the stiltskin brothers. It definitely full of wit, sarcasm and steam. This book is a damn fine read. I just loved it. Oh boy that ending though?? Knockout! Bring on book 2 because i cant wait to read it
It’s an interesting retelling of Rumpelstiltskin. I read quite out of breath, speeding through the pages. It was really engaging story. Understanding Rumple’s magic is not easy. Understanding his sons is complicated as well. Theirs upbringing wasn’t perfect, far from it. They all have scars, they are broken in a way. Alexis have her own ghosts to beat, after all her life was “sold” by her mother to Rumple, just a deal for her, no regrets. She was running from years, to not being “collected”. There is magic in the air and it’s not only the spells I mean. The plot is constructed very well. The world is unique. The characters – wonderful. Action and feelings crackling from every corner. You can only love it. It did spin my… head and maybe even the heart.
I absolutely loved the retelling of this Rumpelstiltskin tale. It was truly enchanting with bold, charismatic characters and a mysterious, flowing storyline full of intrigue and suspense with exciting twists that leave you wanting more. I was completely engrossed in this story from the beginning to the very end and I am really looking forward to the next installment of the series to see what new surprises are in store for the characters. There was so much drama and emotions between these characters it was fascinating to watch it all unfold and the story was written in a way that it has you feeling the characters’ pain and sorrow as their backstories are shared along the way. Though there are plenty of heartbreaking moments there is also plenty of humor, wit, snarky banter, and hot, steamy moments to enjoy.
There was a twisted, darker side to this tale and some of it was heartbreaking – the terrible childhoods Crax, Hyde, and Zard had at the hands of their father, Rumpelstiltskin, and then the servitude debt Alexis is forced to pay because of her heartless mother which causes her to live her life in fear and on the run for years before she is caught by the sons.
Each of the sons has been forced together by Rumpel’s death and are required to continue collecting the debts due to him from his clients before his death or suffer painful consequences. Unfortunately, this causes a lot of suppressed memories and feelings to resurface and they are forced to confront the pain of their past so they can work together to finally be free from Rumpelstiltskin’s hold for good. There are some heartbreaking revelations with these three that really grab hold.
Alexis is another story. She also has awful memories of her past and because of her mother’s debt to Rumpelstiltskin has been on the run for years. All she wants is to be free to live her own life not deemed to suffer the fate of servitude. She’s smart, feisty, and kick a** and has a special skill up her sleeves and she is determined to use everything in her arsenal to gain her freedom. Yet as she begins to learn more about the sons and her feelings start to shift from fear and hatred to curiosity and wanting…everything starts to take a different turn for them all. And just when there might be a silver lining, a shocking twist turns everything upside down and causes a rift in their fragile bonds that might have devastating consequences for them all.
It was a fabulous read from start to finish and the ending was so good (serious feelings here!) and the cliffhanger…huge sigh…I really need the next book!
I loved this twist of Rumpelstiltskin. It is one that is magnificently written with amazing characters. It is gripping as it has drama galore, a bit of a mystery, and suspense. I loved the descriptions as they are vivid and easily able to be pictured. It has a bit of darkness that has you feeling the pain and sorrow with the characters throughout the story. It will have you laughing at times and angry at other times. Alexis is feisty and strong with a heart of gold. Crax, Hyde, and Zard have the strength but are also sweet and protective. It draws you end and doesn’t let go. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series as is definitely going to be a great one. This is a must read that will get you addicted to it.

This isn’t your typical Rumpelstiltskin retelling. There’s has dark twist. This was already a dark story – a first born almost sold in exchange for turning straw into gold but what happens if the woman went through with it. What would happen if he came to collect? Maybe not him but his hot sons (cause let’s be honest no one wants to read a book about that evil man)
So this is the story about what happens after the fairy ends and the real world begins.

Well fir a short story it sure had all the good parts. Tons of action and suspense. Plenty of hot steamy goodness ready to roll into RH with the next book. And the darkness of horrific pasts haunting the four main characters. This was a great quick read and I’m ready for the next one.
