I’m a loyal member of the Demented Sons MC. My priorities were my club and my family. Add in one sick bastard trying to pick us off and I sure as hell didn’t need relationship complications.Enter one hot waitress.A chance meeting. One wild night. By morning, I was gone. Maybe I’d used her, but she’d utterly ruined me.Brothers dropping like flies, adrenaline in my veins, she would’ve been a … she would’ve been a dangerous distraction – one I couldn’t afford.
At the worst possible moment, I made her a reckless promise. A promise I wouldn’t keep – because I’m no saint.
She was already mine. Too bad it literally took a hurricane to make me see it.

The conclusion of this chapter left me a little sad, why? Cause I was hoping I’d see more of the guys in the club have a book also but I get it this is where it has to end. At first I didn’t know what I would feel when I read Gunny’s book knowing his feelings but as I keep reading, i realized it was just him mourning. In this book you will get heart pounding action, you will have OMG moments, you will blush and get hot but most of all you will fall in love with these characters.
This story was an emotional roller coaster. I was on team Avery from the beginning.
Gunny on the other hand had me straddling the fence between wanting to strangle him and wanting to hug him. I love when a story pulls you in and has you emotionally invested in the outcome. This is an entertaining series and I thoroughly enjoyed Gunny and Avery’s complicated journey to happily ever after.
Absolutely loved Gunny and Avery’s story. It’ll take you on a rollercoaster of a ride. There’s so much emotion in the storyline you can’t help but feel for these two. The suspense in some places of this book will have you on edge. You’ll be captivated from that first page till the end. Definitely recommend reading this one.
Gunny is Lock’s brother and has been harboring his feelings for Lock’s wife Raiven close to his chest. He didn’t mean to fall for her but he did and the way he is dealing with it is to stay away even though it causes confusion for his family. One night though he meets waitress and look alike to Raiven, Avery. It is a one night stand but what Gunny doesn’t realize is that one encounter changes everything for Avery. Gunny returns though and wants answers but the way he goes about it causes Avery to question everything. Can Gunny prove to Avery it is her he sees and wants?
This was a heart strings book. You feel for Gunny but at the same time Gunny is wrapped up in his head and can’t see what is right in front of him. I felt for Avery she is a girl trying to do her best with her current situation and is scrambling to do better. I thought this was wonderful, one of the best in series.
Ok. It took me a few days to read Gunny’s book. It brought too many emotions out of me that I had to step back a few times. It was a great book but Gunny really pissed me off 55% of the time, and that’s all right not everyone is heart and flowers. And I’m not going to add why because the story was really good and deserves to be read. Just that he does redeem himself and acknowledge his feelings.
Love how the Brother step in and accepted Avery. And I love how Kristine makes the characters face real everyday problems and not make it soft with lovey-dovey crap. Great job hun.
Wow. What an epic read.Gunny who thought he loved another was completed blindsided by Avery. Love how their story played out. Their ending is beautifully written.
I literally could not put this book down, and read it in one sitting. I have been waiting for Gunny’s book for some time and I knew it would be epic, but even I didn’t realize just how epic it would be. Kristine Allen is an excellent writer, so it goes without saying that the book was very well written. Great story line and a believable timeline. I went through so many emotions throughout this book, from wanting to throw my kindle to crying. Yes crying!!! And I am not a crier, especially when it comes to books. But Kristine Allen had me crying twice in one book!!
Jax and Joker is a must read. This whole series is a must read. Do yourself a favor and grab your copy today!
