It’s safe to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVED this book. Beautiful Lie is the 3rd and final book in the Dirty Hollywood series by Claire Raye and they hit it out of the park with this one. Though these books all follow different couples their stories interconnect and these books are best read in order.
After meeting Sadie and getting a glimpse into her life and what a big story she has to tell I instantly knew I would love her book and I’m so glad that it did not disappoint.
Sadie Washington is a successful screen writer and is making her directoral debut while dealing with trying to get a divorce and distance herself from an extremely toxic, emotionally abusive and manipulative husband Noel, who has always made her feeling like she is ‘nothing’ without him. While working on her movie she meets the charismatic and gorgeous Paul Walker, yes Claire Raye took their fast & furious obsession to the next level and I’m here for it!! From here on Sadie feels like she has the world on her shoulders trying to solidify why she is good at what she does aswell as deciding how best to shead light onto the Dirty side of being in the public eye and the Noel situation.
Watching her breakfree from all that she has had to endure at the hands of a ‘powerful’ man and prove she is strong despite all her insecurities and vaulnerblities was heartbreaking yet beautiful. Sadie is by far my favourite heroine in this series. She is so incredibly strong willed, compassionate, determined and brave aswell as broken and conflicted with guilt over a sitiuation that was beyond her control. She is true Badass and Warrior and was written beautifully and I loved every minute of her and Paul and watching her get her HEA.
Paul was amazing, caring, kind, supportive and super swoon worthy. He was perfect for Sadie and everything she deserved and more. I loved EVERYTHING about him and as much as I loved them together I’m super happy that this story focused more on Sadie and the nitty and gritty side of Hollywood and didn’t contain any unnecessary and petty drama.
Everything about this story felt important and like it needed to be told. It was executed perfectly and the flow of the story felt so seemless and smooth that once I started reading I didnt want to stop and if it wasn’t for needing sleep at 2am I definitely would’ve finished this in one sitting. This was the perfect conclusion to this series and I’m going to miss this crew of amazing characters so much but can’t wait to see what Claire Raye come up with next.
Beautiful Lie by Claire Raye is the final book in the Dirty Hollywood Series. The Dirty Hollywood Series, but this book specifically has me appreciating everyone who’s involved in the industry. Sadie and Paul were the pick me up I needed during quarantine! Paul is the new book boyfriend you didn’t know you need! Sadie with her strength, intelligence, and perseverance are what made her character for me. Both of them being vulnerable for the chance to find real love after their past failed relationships. Beautiful Lie is a book I wouldn’t mind rereading again or anything else by the Claire Raye duo!
So I stayed up all night binge reading this book. And I don’t regret one second of it. Claire Raye always bring it with everything that they write. Beautiful Lie will not be a story that I will ever forget. Its empowering and I take so much from it by just reading these brilliant words.
Sadie is my new favorite heroine. I admire her ability to push through even when things feel like they’re crumbling all around her. She’s had a painful 10 years of looking the other way and having to just take it. Then unexpectedly Paul Walker comes into her life and he’s more than she could ever imagined.
Paul has been dealt a dirty hand and he’s determined to move forward and not look back. He’s strong, painfully good looking, flirty, and knows all the right things to say. Sadie is like a breathe of fresh air to him. And he’s become consumed by the woman that she is.
A must read that I cant rave enough about!
I am so excited that Sadie got her own book. Just from the small parts of her that we got in ‘Beautiful Trouble’ I needed to know more about her story and her redemption and this book delivers!
Hollywood may seem glamorous, but the secrets are numerous. Sadie never thought she’d be one of them, but thanks to her ‘husband’ she is. Sadie is determined to make a name for herself outside of her relationship. When she meets Paul Walker, one of the stuntmen for her new movie, try as they might the two can’t fight the pull between them. When Paul gets injured on set, and Sadie steps up to take care of him all bets are off. The question is, will this too be just another one of Hollywood’s dirty little secrets or are Paul and Sadie the real deal?
Love. Love, love loveeee this book! From start to finish I wanted to do nothing but devour this book. If life hadn’t gotten in the way, I could have finished it in one sitting (adult responsibilities are the worst lol). Getting to learn more about Sadie and watching her work to become her own person outside of Noel was seriously inspiring. And Paul, oh my gosh Paul, I just wanted to jump into this book and squeeze him! He is the epitome of good guy, and I love that this book shows that you can be a strong man and still support your woman. I’m pretty sure I could go on and on about how amazing this book is, so trust me, it’s one that everybody needs to read! I think it is my favorite one of the Dirty Hollywood books!
Ever since finishing Beautiful Trouble I have been waiting for Sadie’s story and it was EVERYTHING I could have wanted and SO SO SO MUCH MORE!
I didn’t think I could hate Noel anymore than I already did, but it is possible. That man is a horrible scumbag and deserves everything horrible that happened to him. This is all he deserves in my review, too.
Sadie, Sadie, Sadie. I love her. She is strong, fierce, talented and caring. Despite what life has thrown at her she continues to persevere and be the stronger person in the situation. Though, she does of insecurities still after years and years of abuse and manipulation she learns that she is more and deserves more. There are so many things about Sadie’s history that I can relate to and her insecurities. For anyone who struggles, she gives hope. Paul Walker is a perfect. He is caring, sweet, protective, supportive and the man that Sadie needs in her life. He knows that she is independent and strong and doesn’t shy away from it or put her down. He is her cheerleader, her support, her motivator, and her rock throughout the madness. He loves her for her and not for who he wants her to be.
Paul and Sadie’s chemistry is OFF THE PAGES! I loved their flirting and tension at the beginning of the story and seeing their relationship progress throughout the course of the book only made me love it more.
These two quickly become my favorite Claire Raye couple, which is saying a lot because I love all their couples. Their relatable characters, their relationship is real, it’s beautiful, and it’s emotional.
Beautiful Lie is a MUST READ and a TOP READ of 2020. Thank you for this story, the entire Dirty Hollywood world and for the Fast and Furious references.
