Most of these stories are steamy rather than sweet.
That Miscreant Marquess by Aileen Fish:
An enjoyable regency. A bit of a convenient ending, but I did enjoy these long-standing friends and their journey to discovery.
Her Perfect Rogue by Amanda Mariel:
Ooh. This was an enticing storyline. Enjoyable characters and a chasm between classes. A couple of steamy scenes.
The Thief Steals Her Earl by Christina McKnight:
I wasn’t expecting to find a full-length novel in this boxset. I really enjoyed this clean romance. There was crime and love and family.
Stolen by My Knave by Dawn Brower:
This 6th book wasn’t the story I was hoping for, but know when we finally get Trenton and Eve’s story it’ll be worth waiting for. I have not read her first book of the series that this Captain appears in, but I think that the prologue does a good job of giving us a brief summary. I definitely wasn’t expecting this story to be about Alys’s daughter. Definitely a surprise And I wish I had read the first book before this one. There is mug I feel that I would understand better about the interactions. However, all that aside, I really did enjoy this book. It built a lot on the past and gave hints to the future.
Masked Pain by Leona Bushman:
You never completely know what you’re going to get when grabbing a boxset. This is an unique regency time travel romance. I really liked the characters and the storyline did hook me but the BDSM steamy scenes put me off.
Redeeming a Tarnished Lord by Sandra Sookoo:
I enjoyed this regency. It was very obvious that there were books that led up to this one, though it did work as a standalone. I enjoyed the characters as they both were broken and found life anew. There is a steamy scene.
Taming a Defiant Duke by Tammy Andresen:
I enjoyed these characters and the back and forth. There was a hint of suspense which added to everything. There was some steam.

They needed to find acceptance and peace.
What a lovely collection I enjoyed each book but my favorite was Sandra Sookoo’s offering. It is not often when the tale center around a character in a wheelchair. Katherine longs to seen as a person of worth not just someone in a wheelchair. Peter on the other hand wants to be accepted again by society and perhaps even by himself. These characters were so real both caught up in how others see them and both afraid yet together their tale finds a new path. Good stories overall this collection would be a great addition to anyone library. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
An amazing boxed set, entertaining, enlightening, heartfelt and lots of emotional conflict and soul searching with unexpected circumstances and unpredictable surprises and misunderstandings. loved reading this.

Each tale involves the art of the dance and how to lure a rogue into a spin around the ballroom and, in some cases, into the naughty privacy of more secluded places! In “STOLEN BY MY KNAVE” by Dawn Brower, we even have a time travel story. Lady Elizabeth Kendall’s mother told her wonderful, fanciful tales all of her life. But what if they aren’t merely stories? The visions of a handsome pirate in a mirror create questions about everything she believes. Could time travel be possible? Jackerson Morgan Carwyn, the Duke of Whitewood hasn’t led the charmed life some believe, growing up in the worst parts of London. Except for the fact that it was a different time — and a secret only he knows, at least until he meets Elizabeth. There is more to her, and he believes she has information he believed long buried. Would the two accept the situation Fate has provided to them?
The variety in this collection is amazing and not to be missed! Indulge your senses and enjoy well-written stories that will take you back to a different time where you can waltz with your handsome partner across the ballroom floor!

ONE WALTZ AWAY FROM FOREVER!!!
Fantastic! This talented, impressive and imaginative group of authors bring the thrills from each uniquely refreshing stroll around the dance floor, bringing the grandeur and elegance to life spectacularly. Each individual story is excellent with separate plots, goals and destinations, each and every one different and unique with all the elegance and splendor leading our characters to their destiny, drawing our them closer than they could have ever envisioned. Satisfaction rocks this jewel, bringing it home with such intensity and precision, displaying triumph and imparting one page flipping bombshell, fusing this baby together sleek, shiny and tight. Crossing the lines and shattering boundaries, limitations are amplified and negotiated, booting this jewel into overdrive, kicking it into a frenzy with astonishing results. Twined, banded and tightly curled, showcasing the rocketing ups and agonizing downs, grounding in it’s simplicity and awe inspiring in it’s depth, putting our characters through their paces. The magnetism, attraction and chemistry collides with such intensity, drawing you deeper, binding them to one another brilliantly. The characters are complex and genuine with traits and qualities that add depth and diversity, transforming into charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions that feel as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Fantastic job guys, thanks for sharing this fabulous bundle with us.
That Miscreant Marquess by Aileen Fish:
One little kiss will free Matilda from her obsession with the Miscreant Marquess, and she can think about finding a respectable husband her father would approve of. No matter how hard The Marquess of Markham tries to avoid her, Mattie continues to cross his path, sneaking her way past the walls he’s built around his heart. Can he learn to trust again, and let her into his heart?
Her Perfect Rogue by Amanda Mariel: 5 Stars
One night changes everything…when Charles comes upon Julia dancing alone in the middle of the night, he takes her into his arms. Overwhelmed with desire, Julia and Charles give in to their passion. When Julia Honeyfield is sent away to a brothel, she runs away…only to find herself in the Duke of Selkirk’s arms. Another engrossing short story, no mystery or intrigue just a lovely romance with endearing characters a lowly woman finding love with a Duke. In fact I wanted the story to continue, I was so lost in it. I also read in a sitting
The Thief Steals Her Earl by Christina McKnight: 3 Stars
Simon Montgomery, the new Earl of Cartwright, is forced to return home without finishing his education. His uncle, who was his guardian when his father died has absconded with all of the families wealth, selling everything that wasn’t entailed, Eton is a school not a university, I’m sorry but this grated on me throughout the story.
Miss Judith Pengarden & her twin Samantha have lived her entire life under her eldest sister’s, Marce’s, firm yet loving guidance. The Pengardens live a Craven House a former bordello that was run by their mother, however now it is a refuge for women, although card parties are still held to be able to fund the help given to desperate women.
When Jude discovers her family is in jeopardy of losing their home, she decides to use her skills to help them pay off their unsettled debts. However, when Jude attempts to steal from the wrong house, she finds herself alone, locked in a dank room at the night watchman’s residence, and she vows to stop thinking so spontaneously and risking her family’s name to scandal.
I found the characters to be wooden & some of the behaviour of the twins just wouldn’t have happened without them immediately either being married or becoming totally ruined. I did read the whole book as wanted to see how things were resolved but it was an OK read but a bit lacklustre.
Stolen by My Knave by Dawn Brower:
As a child, Lady Elizabeth Kendall glimpsed an image of handsome gentleman in her looking glass. Imagine her surprise when years later she meets the Duke of Whitewood, who bears a striking resemblance to her imaginary man. Will they accept fate’s decision or ignore all the signs that brought them together?
Masked Pain by Leona Bushman:
Redeeming a Tarnished Lord by Sandra Sookoo: 5 Stars
Peter Sammerson, Viscount Bingham’s scandalous past nearly buried him. Now he wants acceptance, both from society and from himself. Paralysed and confined to a Bath chair, Miss Katherine Davies searches for inclusion, and for people to see her as whole and capable. During the days leading up to a ton wedding of her sister, they’re thrown together in a series of emotionally wrenching but soul-cleansing meetings that lead to kisses and thoughts of the future.
A well written emotional read which I read in a sitting. I loved that Peter was redeemed & that the forgiveness he’d worked so hard to achieve was given. Katherine wanted to be seen for herself not for her bath chair & Peter certainly saw her. I loved their verbal banter & how their relationship evolved after their near disastrous first meeting. A lovely read
Taming a Defiant Duke by Tammy Andresen: 4 Stars
Emily Mayweather is desperate to provide a future for herself after her vicar father’s death.
Barrett Maddox Marquis of Devon & future Duke of Manchfield, is up to his eye sockets in reports, plans, and papers. Bar was determined to be the perfect acting duke in his father’s absence or bury himself trying. He’s already chosen the lady who would stand by his side, so that was a start. His bride to be would make the perfect duchess, not only that but she saw his worth, which was more than he could say for Miss Emily Mayweather. One unpleasant run-in years ago when she ended up in a fish pond because every time Emily steps near him, all he can see is her?
Bar & Emily are so perfect for each other, they have always been attracted to each other but now that she’s in trouble he can do nothing else but rush to her aid. She’s feisty, outspoken, intelligent & organised. He’s doubting his ability to be a duke but with her help he soon gets the duchy’s correspondence under control, I did wonder why the Duke didn’t already have a secretary or a steward to deal with the paperwork but I did enjoy Bar’s struggles. Throw in a horrid relation & I was engrossed in this well written fast paced book & read it in two sittings. I loved how Bar used ‘lying’ in the inn, it had me laughing out loud! I loved the earlier books in the series & so pleased that the next generation are having their stories
A lovely anthology which has a couple of gems, a great way to find some new authors
Enjoyable Stories.
That Miscreant Marquess 4* by Aileen Fish – Mattie has been in love with her friend’s older brother for sometime but has plans to make him see her by stealing a kiss during the house party preceding her friend’s wedding. However, her mother’s matchmaking plans and the gossip that ensues foils her plan and instead she accepts an invitation of a new friend to stay in London out of the Season, where she hopes to see the Marquess without the scrutiny of much of the ton. An enjoyable story, though I did feel as if I had missed part of their tale in Chapter 8 (deepening of friendship from carriage ride to Mattie attending opera)
Her Perfect Rogue 4.5* by Amanda Mariel – impoverished Julia Honeyfield is rescued by Charles, Duke of Selkirk from a horrific fate and installed as his sister’s companion. As she learns Society’s rules and turns herself into the perfect lady’s companion, her hero worship for the Duke deepens. However she is of low birth and he has no interest in marrying anytime soon, so what future is possible for them.
The Thief Steals Her Earl 2* by Christina McKnight – this is a full length novel. I found it difficult to like Jude, who whilst she was trying to help her sister, saw nothing wrong in stealing; and deceiving and compromising the integrity and reputation of a good man. For someone who supposedly loved antiques she came across as immoral and certainly heartless to anyone who wasn’t a member of her family. Many errors, inconsistencies and loose ends – thought this might have been an ARC copy but I see this was published on it’s own in 2016.
Stolen by my Knave 4.5* by Dawn Brower – a time travel story. A pirate story handed down the generations takes on new meaning when Lady Elizabeth comes face to face with Captain Jack, now a Duke at a house party. Loved it.
Masked Pain 4* by Leona Bushman – another time travel story. In 2016 Ariel is an unhappy wife with two teenage children; at a masked ball she is lured through a fireplace back to 1814 England. Lord Montgomery has found no-one to marry in his own time but a letter from a teenage girl 200 years into the future, gives him the hope of a love across time. Note: bondage lovemaking.
Redeeming a Tarnished Lord 4.5* by Sandra Sookoo – a broken man finds solace and the courage to move forward into the future, in the company of a paralysed woman confined to a bath chair. An uplifting story.
Taming a Defiant Duke 4.5* by Tammy Andresen – a future duke must have a perfect duchess, Bar has always known that. However, when he finds out that the vicar’s daughter, who he last saw 5 years previous, needs his help, he rushes to her side. She is still unsuitable in many ways but in others she is the only woman he can see as his wife. Emily’s lecher cousin could be a thorn in his plans though.
These stories are not perfect by any means, one author does not understand the rules of primogeniture with regard to inherited titles, several others use words and terms that didn’t exist in the early C19th. Plus there are other oddities that cause the reader to pause. However, overall these are an enjoyable set of stories to read

That Miscreant Marquess: Lady Matilda and Lord Colin Markham had been friends a long time thru his sister Marcy. Lady Matilda also wanted to kiss Lord Markham for the girls wager. With Markham’s reputation all the girls wanted to stay away from him except for Matilda. Markham finally realized he cares for Matilda.
Her perfect Rouge: Loved the story of a poor commoner who is sent to London by her dying mother. Reminds me of the song with the same idea. When Julia is in London she finds herself in a brothel and escapes thinking it was a mistake her mother wouldn’t do this to her. She meets a man who rescues her by giving her a job as a companion to his sister. Both have an attraction but neither want to accept it.
The Thief Steals Her Earl: liked the idea of a female helping her family survive in the aristocracy by stealing precious items then slipping the money in her sisters money box. She was given the wrong address and slips into an Earl’s house. On meeting him she falls for him and gives up her thievery.
Stolen By My Knave: loved the idea of time travel. Lady Elizabeth has been told a story about a pirate all her life. When she was 12 as she was telling the story to her brothers she sees Captain Jack and her grandmother in the foggy mirror.
Masked Pain: This is a time travel story going back in time to 1700’s from Kentucky to England. A woman who has been abused goes back in time to find her true love. Ariel and Richard fall deeply in love and he wants her to stay with him.
Redeeming A Tarnished Lord:
Taming A Defiant Duke: love all of Tammy’s books. She tells a very convincing story that involves unrequited love that both parties don’t admit to. Lord Maddox is trying to make sense of everything and comes upon a letter that he should have answered months ago. He must help Emily (a friend from their youth).
